Given how the format changed this season (single-match), does anyone expect an upset? We're used to seeing the big teams getting KO'd in England in the league cup, maybe we'll see something like that in this "brand new" Copa del Rey? Fixtures for the top teams:

I've watched Barca game with a high interest. And i kind of didn't get disappointed.

Barcelona returned to its old self, again the ball has been passed for thousand times, at a higher speed and intensity.

Though, it's not still safe to bet on this team and expect anything different than sure ball possession. Let's wait and see what this coach can bring to the team, to the league and even to the whole continent. Barca that would not bottle three-goal lead? Yeah, that would have been something new in the Champions League.

unbelievable, Atletico do not score at least 1 goal, It was a disaster

RCD Mallorca - CF Valencia ( 4 - 1 )

it was a game where valencia was very humiliated, every time Mallorca scored, I thought, "How many goals are these guys going to score?"

Athletic Bilbao - RC Celta de Vigo ( 1 - 1 )

I stopped watching this game in the 80th minute because I thought it would end in a draw

Real Madrid, Barcelona have already been defeated by other weak teams so this is not a new surprise
Eibar also continues to struggle to stay away from the red zone, the same thing happens in other leagues.

A win is a win I guess but yeah, we totally weren't playing to our best level at all, which keep seeming to be our major problem the entire time. No new coach effect from what I could see but perhaps the pressure of playing at home is making everyone on edge. Actually Granada's red card made me worried they'd defend even more but as it turned out, Messi saved our asses again.

Stats are very deceptive for Barca I have to agree,,, and Real Madrid. Barcelona plays with possession but not necessarily with a lot of attacks with good chances whereas if you play with few stars who have less ability then they do not tend to pass a lot or dribble, but try to go for direct attacks so definitely misleading if you do not watch the game.

I think the main reason why Barca lacked goals last night is due to the inexperience of Ansu Fati. Individually, he is superb player but playing in Barcelona's team means you have to combine with other players in the box to score goals. The only goal scored in the match was sample of Barca style. Riqui recovered the ball, passed it to Bussi, who then passed the ball to Messi, who gave ball to Griezmann in the box, Grizzi then flicked it to Vidal who created room for Messi and Messi finished it with calm push. But Ansu Fati is still very young to adapt to this system but he will learn with time.

I have no doubts when Dembele will be fit, it would be impossible for any team to stop Barcelona with Griezmann-Messi-Dembele upfront playing with Setien's style. Suarez has already become too slow to come as regular starter. I wish Barcelona use him like Liverpool use Origi once he's fit.

On the one hand, Barcelona has gradually become more and more Messi-dependencia, that is surely not good for them. On the other hand, Messi has become older and older each season that consequently negatively affected his performance on the pitch. I doubt that Barcelona will maintain their positions in top 2 or 3 of La Liga next few seasons.

Well, today we saw something similar to old good Barca. Over 80% ball posession, over 1000 passes made eith good accuracy. Though, final result doesn't looks amazing, considering that opponent parked a bus and played one man down for 20 minutes. I think it's mainly because of missing Suarez and it can be serious problem against stronger opponents. Good thing about this match - finally we didn't conceded goal, it's rare thing this season.
And goodbye to my over 3.5 goals bet on this game :/.

True ... although they have the setien possession-ball style , they are struggling to find a space to the penalty box and making a real threat.

Sometimes when a team focused attacking and play the possession... the opponent team is planning to do a quick counter , an unstoppable one , often happened and it's always dangerous.
Luckily Barcelona come out as a winner with a single goal from messi in the last 15 minutes of the game. A hard earned points.

Granada is not an easy opponent for Barca. I also don't think they will score 4+ goals because Suarez is absent. There is a way he seems to sync with Messi. I would also love to see them drop some points.
