3.5k BTC is cloase to half a million US dollars. I think with that sort of readily available cash that Fabrizio could begin work on the 65nm chip while the 130 is being salvaged. If he can get the 65nm into production by the end of the year LabCoin could still be a big big player in the mining community.

Where to begin.. first of all, mask set for a 65nm chip alone would cost him ~$500K at a cheap chinese fab. No way that sort of money buys you working and deployed chips
Secondly, production takes 2-3 months, even he were to tape out today, chances of getting to market this year would be small. He is no where near tape out, no one is even working on it. Forget the 65nm chip.

AS for the 130nm chips, according tp "labcoin" they are all packaged in a plastic package which is simply inadequate for their power consumption. I cant see how you could possibly salvage them. You could perhaps run them at 10% of their specced speed to prevent overheating, but thats just not worth it. Doing another production run with the existing mask set, and using a more sensibe package would be possible, and not even very expensive,  but would cost 2-3 months. By that time, a 130nm asic is pointless.

None of this is really important, because this is scam. But even if it werent, there is no way to turn it around.

23 pages every 24hours... i wish there would be a moderated thread like ActiveMining did. They previously had the same amount of posts each day. Now its down to 2 pages each day. I really would like that.

I have contacted his employer at Oppo so that they have been made aware of the situation.

Wow... i didnt realize how low some guys here are. So because you think that is a scam and you think this person is involved you try to destroy him? Even when there is a slight chance that the company is sold and he doesnt have anything to do with it anymore should have kept you from doing such things. If your sharp detective abilities werent so sharp you maybe destroy other persons life for nothing. I cant believe what results this circle of doom yield. I wonder what other things some guys here are capable of.

Very minor compared to how many people he has destroyed in Labcoin.

Nice stockholm syndrome btw

Basicly, this is a one-man (even this man is part time) company, with a maybe workable 130nm chip design and 20TH not workable chips. The 65nm plan is paused and don't know when to continue so can be safely ignored. Plus around 3500BTC left but 'very unlikely to refund'. The 'new' owner hesitates in providing his Identity and may have trouble in list in a new exchange.

Suppose this is what we know in the beginning (forget about ATH and ATL, forget about how much you have thrown on it already), how much will you pay for it?

No-one is doubting he has the 3.5k BTC. So maybe we can start making suggestions as to how he goes forward with these funds from here.

might have missed it, but did someone start a nomination process for the shareholder reps?
Would you mind getting it started?? The sooner the better I think.
haven't read the balance of the thread yet (there are like 6 or so pages to read still), but I am willing to facilitate. I have a lot of personal business today and won't have a lot of time to put into this today. Perhaps tomorrow, unless someone else picks up the baton in the meantime.

Edit: so the only other thread I see is a checklist? Are we supposed to discuss the shareholder reps there or no? https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/labcoin-action-item-checklist-updated-daily-305686

be back later today to offer input if I can

This is excellent and is exactly what this thread should be used for.  Please take the conspiracy theories to another thread, thanks.

That is cute.

I don't remember you listening when others asked you to stop spreading FUD, and back then Labcoin seemed to be less of a scam compared to now.

I wasn't spreading FUD.  I genuinely believed it was a scam.  I never held shares until a couple of days ago and therefore had no motive to spread FUD hundreds of pages ago.

People need to start using the correct terms for what they are describing and stop making baseless accusations.

Labcoin is not a scam and therefore your comment suggesting otherwise is wrong.

EDIT:  I am trying to be constructive and make a positive contribution to this thread.  I will continue to do so regardless of what others say.

Haha, once the share price collapses and you think you can make a buck on a rebound, you decide it's not a scam. Well it's good to see you will be losing your money too then.

should someone be trying to physically locate/visit these places which are possible Labcoin connected..?

I will be in Guangzhou on the 23rd of October, and I can also go to Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
Is there anyone willing to meet up and do some investigating?

EDIT.  didn't Samuel Noi say he was going to be in Shenzhen in 10 days..?

I'm willing to meet up with him.

It would be fantastic if someone could at least meet up with Sam for coffee or some such.  Would allay a lot of fears, I imagine.

Being able to see the boards in person would be ideal.

Lol probably close to 0% chance of that happening, I admire your optimism

Ukyo was in the chat later saying he was surprised Labcoin said that, and he seemed a bit puzzled by it. (re: Skype conversation with Labcoin)

The transcript indicates that Sam Noi is a real person that Fabrizio named as a director in his company for the project.

Good, then providing valid ID would be really easy. In fact, it would solve many of their problems instantly. Yet his response to proving his identity was: "We are looking into providing that as an option"

Honestly, I have lost 20BTC on it and have no bids and will never put bids on it any more.

Fabrizia has duped a lot of us, I lost five times as much.

You can't con an honest man.

It's time to own your personal responsibility for letting greed blind you to the truth.

Many people, myself included, warned you about LABscam (and ActiveScamming).

Our warnings were met with hostility and campaigns encouraging others to Ignore (IE shun) us.

Grin  How's that working out for you?   Wink

Do you regret not heeding my advice, and refusing to

What could I have done? They literally said 'we're hashing now, and we will not miss 20 th deployment in the next two weeks'. How can anyone have a chance if they are lied to that blatantly? They even brought out the btcguild ranking to back it up.

LOL... when they claimed they were hashing but refused to post pics of the miners, you could have used your brain and realized it's 100% a scam. I shouted it out to everyone, most just shunned me.

Nice work. The community finally united together to do some thing. It will be very helpful to find Sam and closely monitor his behavior so that at least the rest half of 7000 BTC could be used wisely.

Can you please confirm if Fabrizio stated that he was posting on this forum pretending to be Sam Noi?

Thank you for coming here to clarify.

Someone already posted the talk (on IRC) I had with him, I don't know nothing more. I do confirm that the talk took place and it's real.

I really don't know anything more... I wonder why I keep getting mentioned/involved with this. They asked me to fund them, but I kept myself out of this business since the beginning.

Magari raccontarci come sono andate le cose veramente?
In un tuo post precedente hai detto di averci parlato solo una volta..

I discussed only ONCE about the project with someone who said to be Alessia Tatti. I have been contacted several days later by someone else who said to be Fabrizio Tatti, but we didn't exchange much information, the dialogue is there, and that's all. I just didn't want to get involved. I don't have any other things to say.

the last 2 hours we have had payments through, I want to know where the kit is hosted & if anyone is on site to baby sit. It would also be great if we could know the full details of the issues, not just "its overheating" but concise details so that the community can help.
