Can't read the whole article but I read an article that says casinos are actually having profits amidst the pandemic but I guess I read that wrong. I guess they should stick to online or live betting now so that workers can stillcdo their jobs and avoid more contacts to people that would also lessen the contamination of the virus.

Despite of the opening, they still didn't meet their expectation, but I guess this figure reported are only the amount of target prior to the pandemic, so obviously they can't hit that as not everyone are going out to play, only few will.

So the question here is, are they still operating profitably?

They will continue to grow, Las Vegas as one of the biggest earners in the world of gambling is not attractive for lower income individuals as it's an expensive casino, a classy one where you have to spend, maybe what you are referring is the lottery owned by the government, there, betting a penny is possible, but not in vegas.

That is one scary decision. They are like opening for the sake of having profit but not thinking about the gamblers health. Even though some gamblers does not care about that, it is still a risky decision. The pandemic is very deadly and should not be taken lightly BUT if Las Vegas Casinos only let people play who are within Hotels near their own casinos with no record of being exposed to the Virus, then I guess that is a possible situation where you can open the casino to those people.

The traditional casinos are operating again but for sure it will lead to increase of infected covid19 person especially if there will be a certain gambler in there that can be asymptomatic.

I think those gamblers don't think too much about the virus that is currently spreading widely, they just want to think about how to grow money quickly and can have fun like it is free. whereas in a gambling place when not opening a business there will be no income and will bankrupt the gambling owner.

Why lower income people, its really for everyone depends on which type of casino they are playing.Some people bet with few bucks and some others in few millions when it comes to poker tables and in future as well the thing will remain the same.

We all thought that is whats happening, but it isn't.

The fact that we are seeing increasing cases in Nevada means that the reopening of casinos is the cause of it. It is said that even bars are open making social distancing harder to implement. If this continues, for sure we might face the 2nd wave and that would be harder since it would obviously immune to medicines that hey are using right now.

But since Russia is said to discover the vaccine, we just need to wait for it to be produced since their country needed it too.

We can't blame them though. People thought that they are strong enough to fight the virus since the recoveries worldwide is around half of the total cases and the mortality rate is low that is why they are underestimating it. Until there is no vaccine, there is no safetiness of the people is low unless you have a good immune system then you can fight the virus with yourself. Even though the vaccine is out, I doubt that gamblers will go to the casino immediately. They will wait for weeks to months I think before they will return or they will just gamble online.

Firstly, if the reopening of stores, casino and business is not very important the government wont have allow it, remember Las Vegas Mayor (Carolyn Goodman) once ask for the reopening of casino because the quarantine wasnt completely the solution but she was rebuked by people and by the Nevada leaders.
Second, this is not the act of underestimated the virus but saving ourself from something that could give than the virus itself.

Trump and other WHO representatives also shared their opinion about the vaccine but the mentioned news shows the rumors, not the facts. TBH, I don't believe Russia's vaccine manipulation, there is always something more at the background of the process.

Russia quickly started producing Ebola vaccine a few years ago and delivered it to Africa, which helped save many lives. It wasn't a rumors then. Why shouldn't we believe the Russians?
