It is not really like that. Sometimes, less price = less interest, there are only few peoples who interested about the coin.
Another thing to consider about the cheap price, it maybe because the coin still not developing its product.
It is normal for starter new altcoin to have a low price, but if they already created the coin long ago and still have low price, then there is something wrong.

Yes, I hold many altcoins and bought in the lowest price before, and hope the price will rise and get the profit, actual, I hold this altcoin over the year, but the price have not rise and without enough trading volume, so it too risky to buy this coins if without the investors.

There are top coins that have successfully survived the whole of 2018 and have not disappeared, and the price is below $1, the meaning of buying them is definitely there, if they showed themselves worthily in the bear market, then in the bull market they will be even better

The more cheap a coin is the more profit you can make from them when moon, but sometimes it does not go as planned because some less coin happens to go more less than imagine due to the falling in price which can make it more less than expected. But investing in higher prices can only earn you big when you have big capital to start with.
