What valuable lesson(s) have you learnt from the crypto space in 2018 and how is it going to shape your involvement in the space going forward? Looking forward to your responses, hoping one or two persons learn a thing or two from them.
Crypto in 2018 has left a valuable lesson in my trading life that nothing is impossible in crypto we have seen a big pump last year December and a big dump until December 2018. The valuable lesson I learned is that the market can go down at any moment, because i am overconfident as i used to tell my friends, people invest in cryptocurrencies and make big profits in the last quarter like quick short term investments.

My most valuable lesson of 2018 is not to be greedy and try to take profits. Especially when some coins made X 30 or more. I didn't do it then and now I'm a little disappointed that I missed a good opportunity and wasted time.

Such crazy things really happened especially in the time when ICO really made many lucky investors to bag out huge amount of money,

Though not all are lucky just how things happened to you, either you missed the fun due to wrong perceptions or you got greedy thinking to push for more.

Those are things that you'll going to remember and learned, since you are still here, for sure you wanted to do different things and try to make sure that you'll going to take every opportunity that you have to be earned and manifest success from this business.
In 2017, I still had very little experience in dealing with crypto investments. At the time when $1k invested in one of the tokens during ICO brought me $36k, it seemed to me that this was just the beginning and the price of these assets would only increase. However, now their price is barely $ 300. That's the price I paid for my experience.

The most important lesson for me is to diversify my assets and not to get greedy when the market turns green and to spread the news and information for others to enjoy.
Also, make sure one can sell his coins at High price; don't get carried away; if the whales dump their coins, the price will plummet dramatically due to the large number of coins they own.

Guys tell me, can anyone know why the graphics for binance are not saved? Yesterday I painted everything in a new way, today the schedule is clean again. Maybe somewhere a magic button appeared

Lesson-1: The more greedy you are, the more you will lose.
Lesson - 2: Don't panic and learn to save for the future.  I remember I sold some valuable assets in the panic that I should have kept for better market conditions.

Every lesson is important for the future and using it I still survive in this crypto market.

As we all know that there is a time when digital currencies can give their holders to become rich in the near future and vice versa. maybe in the 2018 market correction yesterday there were many people who lost their money because they had given up the assets they held. well, the lessons that I can take from the 2018 experience are, first, market corrections must make asset holders have to be patient and not panic easily, and secondly, when there is a market correction, people who have a lot of money should buy lots of coins that have future potential like ethereum and bitcoins.

The lesson i have learned from 2018 is "Don't be greedy, be satisfied with small profits"
I have missed so many opportunities to became a rich. As the market was green i though it will always remain green and never thought of a correction more than -10% . I have applied all of my past experience in 2021. I made less profit than others but i exited safely from market in time.

I can't deny I have gain alot more experience since from 2018 to date being in crypto, witness both the bull and bear season, no doubt I have gain more experience but my decision now will not be entirely base on my 2018 experience rather it will be base all what is happening at current time, there is a big difference between 2018 and 2021 and so will be any decision made.

The prestige of cryptocurrencies slumped throughout 2018. The prices of almost all cryptocurrencies fell sharply and their market capitalization hit its lowest point in early April 2018.
In fact, going back one year, 2017 was a year full of euphoria for cryptocurrencies as their market capitalization grew very well.
The escalation of regulatory threats, bans on buying cryptocurrencies, closing of cryptocurrency exchanges, as well as concerns over potential fraud and hacking are some of the reasons behind the cryptocurrency slump, I hope cryptocurrencies will not be like 2018, it was a dark year in the crypto world.

Of course, there are many lessons that can be learned from the events of 2018, for me personally, in trading and investing we must have a maximum profit and loss target that we can tolerate because it will affect capital, trying profit opportunities from other coins when there is a decline can also be a problem. the good one. an alternative to staying productive in critical times, coupled with emotional control and not being greedy during a green market, because many investors are too greedy to get big profits so they don't take the profits they should get and instead lose the results of their greed.

The valuable thing I can take away is the importance of patience and consistency with cryptocurrencies. Don't be careless and panic about the market that suddenly goes down and down. Keep your emotions in check and monitor the market as often as possible to get updates. This looks trivial but is actually difficult, especially in a precarious and sudden situation. Therefore our mentality is really tested here.

I know that this is an old thread, but yes this reminds me of my experience way back in 2018. I remembered the glory days of 2017 where we see the uprise of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies due to the ICO hype. However, because of many negative news from the regulators in some parts of the world, the crypto market plunged from almost $20k down to $3k.

The lesson is that if we already got profits even for just a little, just take it and be happy. I was greedy back then, so I’ve lost a lot of money for just being a “greedy holder”. But there are some cryptos that I was lucky back then in converting to fiat after it skyrocketed, so yeah I am still grateful. But for most of them, oh well I’ve just sold them too late rather than enjoying big profits early.

The lesson that can be learned in previous years is to be patient. The word is very simple but as long as you are patient with cryptocurensy, many are less grateful and greedy. A trader and an investor are not the same but have the same mentality to earn, both have different points of view, an investor may wait until the market is good while a trader must quickly do something to avoid further losses and lose a lot of assets.

What happened in 2018 is indeed something that will not be forgotten, where the market was completely destroyed, many investors panicked and sold
all their crypto at a loss. But if we can be patient, it will generate a large profit if we can hold coins until this year. I agree that the most important
lesson we can take from the events of 2018 is to always be patient, because patience when investing in crypto always brings good things.
The most important thing is that we choose coins that are potential for investment, So if the price falls, it won't take long for the price to rise again.
What we need to know is that making a profit from crypto cannot be instant, it is a sometimes lengthy process, so patience is the key to success
when investing in crypto.

The biggest lesson  from 2018 is that you shouldn't invest time into new project that you haven't done your intelligence you should not invest more than what you're willing to lose in any project that's when you put yourself in the cryptocurrency Market which is filled with a lot of scam projects and a lot of coins that will end up not being successful I don't know in court unless nylons is to always go to the closest any I'm going to try to wait for the price of losing coins to rebound

Looking back at 2018, i learned a lot of lessons but the most important lessons is to take profits as you're seeing some profits.
This is because a lot of the profits i saw from trading all my altcoins, i lost most of them through holding onto my coins and not selling to take some profits.
Now i always take profits n USDT no matter how small

your choice is very right to recover your finances, but I am more interested in altcoins that have low prices like aurora and Btt only to restore my finances when the price reaches high prices later.
if you trust those assets I think you should do some long-term planning. AOA and BTT have a good market when the bulls pump this year. but after the correction occurs you can see how the price continues to decline.
I'm not sure if you will just wait for a bull moment like this year to repeat itself.

That's definitely what I do, I will still wait for the best time to happen with aurora and btt, I have to survive the correction time up to 5 months and even more than that I have to wait. but it's okay with that, as long as I can get a big profit after holding on longer
