1. Always wait for bear market to start building your portfolio
2. Be fearful when others are greedy, meaning when market is surging and people are buying there will be decline in price soon, take profits.
3. You can mine crypto in bear market, many who refused to sell their GPU after bull market in 2018 are now richer because they kept mining and accumulating more coins

Now many are afraid of the repetition of 2018 so the market has grown quite cautiously..this is primarily true of altcoins. No one wants to lose much again.

The year 2018 was a time when everyone took heavy losses, and it's natural to cause some fear, but we learned a lot from it, we can manage what we have more wisely, and better understand market conditions.

One of the vital or rather Important lesson I learnt is to have a target and not to be too greedy. It is true one can't know the right time to exit a trade or sell a long term bag, but yet one need to have a target and stick to it to avoid regrets, nonetheless it is also important to know it doesn't apply to all coins.
So the thing is, know the coins you are holding and decide if they are going to be for long term or short term, this is true because not all coins can last long term, a good number are just okay for short term, so decide that and know when to sell.
Another lesson is to know that, there will always be good coins to buy and also, entry point will always surface for whatever coin thus don't chase after a moving train.

For me in 2018 crypto is very much a lesson in pricing. The price of any high crypto asset has the possibility to fall very deeply, and it makes me more able to think carefully in managing the assets I have, especially in the trading process so far.

Great experience in the market at that time would be a lesson for every market participant. but what happened now seemed different. Market conditions look stronger than we thought. I used to think the correction would continue in a much more severe state than it is now. but what happens, corrections that occur are always corrected quickly.
now we get a new lesson from what we see in the market. that when market forces grow it becomes stronger. even in a correction, there will always be a quick fix that can stop a deeper correction.

BTC to the MOON in 2019

I think, in 2018, btc rise its highest price at that time, but it growing down,
In this year, 2021, of course the same thing will happen, slowly but sure btc and othee crypto will be down too, I will invest right now but I won't hodl for so long, remember btc is not long-term investment
The market correction actually starts in 2018, so even though some altcoins has reached an ATH in 2018, we can still say that 2018 overall is a bear market. just like this year, we have witness a new ATH of Bitcoin and other altcoins but the price in general is going down, so we might again witness the same scenario we saw in 2018 and onwards.

Personally I started getting to know crypto in 2017-2018 but I haven't really got into it yet. At that time I didn't think that crypto would develop like this, so I left it for a while. After that I decided to join the crypto world again. A lot has changed, a lot of new coins, the crypto market is starting to stabilize although it is still up and down. I'm sure the ancients who had good coins would have got big results now. That's the result of patience by holding the coins that are owned and finally the value is also high and provides benefits. Right now I am starting to crawl again to get into it although I know it is quite late but I am sure that crypto will shine again. We just need to be patient to wait for that time to come. Patience and also the right analyst will be good for managing our assets so that they can give good results.

I didn't get the hang of anything genuine, however as regular I comprehended that the digital currency market was still controlled by controllers and will further be controlled, and now I am certain that controllers can raise the cost of bitcoin to 20k$ in minutes or they can kill bitcoin cost to 1k$ for a similar a few minutes.

A good lesson I learned in 2018 was that Technical Analysis doea not applyin crypto. The biggest issue with Technical Analysis is that the market can change very quickly.

The whole idea of Technical Analysis is the assumption that news is factored into the price but when new news comes out, it would invalidate the Technical Analysis so having a bot do the job will be able to constantly update the analysis done.

turns out you have found your identity as a trader, you have got a great new experience. yes I think so too, if you have never made a mistake in trading, of course you will not get that valuable experience.

and this is what can be said, never be afraid to make mistakes

What valuable lesson(s) have you learnt from the crypto space in 2018 and how is it going to shape your involvement in the space going forward? Looking forward to your responses, hoping one or two persons learn a thing or two from them.
In my opinion, patience is the key to success in trading or crypto life. I just learnt it by surviving with crypto in 2018. From my opinion and my side, I can say that 2018 learnt us to have more patience in crypto then you will be succeeded.

The biggest lesson I learnt is to hold my investment Smiley
Those who have invested in early 2018, still struggling to come above positive line. The only thing we can do in this situation is to identify good projects and accumulate more whenever opportunity comes.

2018 was a year of cumulation. Who didn´t buy in 2018 and 2019 lost an opportunity of buying low.
2020 is a year of halving and in this year we will see a bull market for sure.

The best lessons I learnt from 2018 were to be patient when holding coins I believe in, not to dump so cheap especially at severe dips and also to avoid greed while holding coins. If I see reasonable gains in coins I'm not holding for very long term, I will dump and wait for dips. If it's worth it, I will still accumulate more at dips if it ever happens anyway.

there are too many lessons that we got in the past 2018, both in bounties, projects and investments. the point of all the lessons is that we need to explore and properly understand what steps we are in a project or something else, especially in difficult circumstances like today.

2018 becomes a year that has many lessons and experiences. I myself realized that I had to learn from this year. One thing I have to take a lesson from this year is that we should not ignore the movement. We must be smart in analyzing changes so that we can predict prices and conditions that will occur in the future well. We have learned a lot from the movement of bitcoin before 2017 and reached its peak in 2017 so that it could become a benchmark for continuing to progress with crypto currencies.

The year 2018 turns out to give a reference point for a reduction in the price of cryptocurrencies as much as 90%. I think that now many investors will think about buying crypto assets.

One of best lessons I learnt in 2018 is that working in the crypto industry can bring you a lot of money.

Join telegram, know a lot, be active in communities, become community manager. Average salary for community managers is between 500-2000 USD. If you are a dev, you can make even more
