Do you still have money blocked on Bunq?
It's getting ridiculous that all the transfers nowadays have to be between accounts of same person name.

My account was unlocked now.

Let's see how it goes.

bunq locked my account again.

Code:
Hi Vanquish_PT,

We regularly review our users activity as required by law. We detected an unusual pattern in the transactions of your personal account(s).
We opened an internal investigation and have concluded to temporarily freeze your accounts as a precaution.

Your assets in these accounts will be frozen until the end of this investigation.
We aim to be fast possible and will keep you informed if our investigation goes beyond 5 working days.

Thank you for understanding,

- the bunq compliance team

After they unlocked it I loaded about €1500 from other of my own accounts, received €300 from other person and made 10 payments.

This is all localbitcoins activity but I don't think they have a way to tell and after all they were supposed to be crypto-friendly. Before I started using this account I specifically asked if this would be ok or if I need a company account and they said this:

Code:
Alright, so a business account is really only necessary if you want to start trading bitcoins as a business/as your work.

If you just do some bitcoin trading for yourself, this is not necessary

It seems 10 outgoing transfers in one week can't be considered as personal use.

In fact outgoing transfers are definitely a problem for them.

When they blocked me for the first time they asked this:

Code:
and we see lots of outgoing payments to different IBANs all over Europe. Could you tell us some more about that?

So you can't do payments with a bank account?

I wonder what these people consider a normal behaviour for a bank user.

Or maybe I'm so burned in the banking sector that I'll never be able to have a normal bank account again.

Mistertango will be disabling transfers from and to exchanges for free accounts (from the looks of it).[/img]
I for one welcome the certainty. If there is a fee attached to being able to transact with exchanges, no big deal. At least they state that in this case they won't block your account for transacting with exchanges.
The new pricing is very odd though. Why is the fee for other ATM transactions and and tranfers so much larger for paid accounts? This makes no sense at all.

This move would provide no incentive to use Mistertango against competitors (which are also known to be BTC friendly) and free.
Agree. Also, 0.0025 BTC deposit/withdrawal fee aren't mentioned there. It will be not worth to use Mistertango while there are some cheaper alternatives.

Veritascard FAQ:
Quote
Can I load my Veritas with Bitcoin, Dogecoin, Monero, Blackcoin, litecoin or another crypto currency?

No because Veritas is not a trading platform for Bitcoin. But you can first sell your Bitcoins on an exchange platform for euros. Then, just order a bank transfer from your exchange platform to your Veritas using your dedicated IBAN.

And ViaBuy gives you a dedicated IBAN, but not in your name, so you can't use it for exchanges.

OKPAY and MoneyPolo are now merged as MoneyPolo, so OKPAY can be removed from the 1st page.

Edit: OKPAY after merging with MoneyPolo is now known as Weezzo: https://www.weezzo.com/ but I don't think they offer IBAN now.

€29.90 per year and 2.49% for loading via bank transfer. wow That's quite expensive. I wouldn't bet in the longevity of such service when there are entirely free alternatives. Perhaps this is what keeps them in business though:

From their website.
So, is it bitcoin friendly? The question still stands. Cheesy Wouldn't try it though.

€29.90 per year is not a problem for me but I do admit the 2.49% fee is expensive. The site is operating for about 7 years so I guess there is still a demand. But yes the real question is how crypto friendly is it. Another service similar is ViaBuy.com and they added Bitcoin deposits option (via BitPay) recently.

Anyone know this one https://www.veritascard.com/ We have a Mastercard and a dedicated IBAN in UK or France there are 4 available currencies: EUR, USD, GBP, ZAR for €29.90 per year and 2.5% per transfer (and useless but gas expenses reimbursed by up to 8 cents per liter)

I know one more service with bank accounts https://www.ecopayz.com/. They offer free debit cards in three currencies: EUR, USD and GBP. And you can choose which bank requisites (Great Britain or Latvia) can be used for depositing.
Do they provide an IBAN number with your name on it?

I think no because on the FAQ I see

Quote
"How does the local deposit option work?
It allows you to deposit funds direct from your bank account into your ecoAccount via our bank account located in your country. Deposits take 1 to 3 business days to arrive into your account."

Monese is now blocking accounts...

FYI

Unfortunately I can confirm this.  Sad

And as if it wasn't enough I have more bad news. My Fidor account is also suspended  Embarrassed

I'm also quite sure that Revolut and Transferwise are exchanging information.

Some weeks ago I opened a transferwise account and verified my ID. The next day the account was blocked without any explanation. I never had a chance to even use the account. As I've been blocked in many banks there was no simple way to tell where they got their info about me.

But last week I opened a transferwise account in my wife's name. She verified the ID and asked a card and all seemed fine. The day the card arrived to us the account blocked. Well, my wife was only blocked by Revolut before, so I'm pretty sure that Revolut was the source of this information because I don't think they know we are married.

That really sucks. And its to go that information does not always end up where you think it does. Even so providing customer  information to third parties without customer's consent is not legal. Only if you could prove that the information was communicated you may be able to not only get it sorted but even get some cash of them.

Seems like UK based banks have some extra protovols for sharing information. Transferwise specializes in international transfers but their banking is also done in the UK. Well, if you are in the EEA there are better and cheaper options anyway.

And people should think to update their experiences with banks here:

https://moonbanking.com/?country=UK

So we don't lose time trying to open accounts with crypto hostile entities.

It's a good idea, but it's not very accurate because anyone can post as many shill reviews as they want.

Revolut positive score is all I need to know to call this bullshit.

Did you have to provide anything to get your account unblocked?

They just asked some questions about my account funding and outgoing transfers.

It was easy because like I said that was the first incoming transaction from a third-party account.

This is the problem with these payments service. You never know what can happen tomorrow to your account. It can work good for 3 months and the next your account is gone/suspended. Even Paypal doesn't do such thing (without reason) I don't want to deal with a service and to be worried every day to see the account with a problem.
