Your country may be your worst enemy
Or here is a table for offshore banking, the site is not in English but it doesn't matter, most important is the list itself paradisfiscaux20.com/liste-banques-offshore.htm
I don't remember how it is called exactly but remember a lot of countries exchange banks information now, and the countries list is quite big

Thanks for this link. Very informative.

This list needs to be updated...
You may check the list of countries which automatically exchange banking information, here:

https://www.oecd.org/tax/transparency/AEOI-commitments.pdf

And you may also look for an eventual bilateral tax agreement between the country where you're a resident, and the country where you're planning to bank. But you have to be smart to aviod paying tax these days.

Do you still have money blocked on Bunq?
It's getting ridiculous that all the transfers nowadays have to be between accounts of same person name.

My account was unlocked now.

Let's see how it goes.

Still blocked!
The good news are that the account was almost empty.

I agree. Banking is ridiculous nowadays.
I'd bet my nuts that they can't stop the real criminals anyway so it's just annoying for the rest of us.

Bunq also blocked me but they unlocked it now.

I suggest caution with them.

Bunq blocked your account for a transaction related to crypto or something else? It's quite hard to find a neobank agree to deal with transaction related to cryptocurrencies :/

It was but they don't know about it.

The problem is that apparently it was fraudulent. But it was the first I was receiving that didn't came from accounts under my name so I expected them to have a different reaction.

And they used to be quick to reply and since this "incident" they are not replying anymore.

Too bad! I had high hopes for bunq.  Sad

Monese and Fidor are still working good.

Are you using Monese with a crypto company? (i.e to receive payment from a crypto exchange etc)

I'm using for localbitcoins trading only.

I haven't used an exchange with them yet.

But from my experience localbitcoins is worst from a banking POV.

Bunq is a good start-up but really strict with  ID verification; KYC

bunq blocked my account. Not looking good.

If you really have 1 million to transfer out, you wouldn't ask here but rather in a forum related to offshore banking

Do you mean offshorecorptalk or other?

"Monese limits your balance to €40k." is this true?

Actually, currently it's 10k for the free plan and 50k for the paid one.

Hi,

Does anyone know if any of these online banks can accept big amounts of fiat currency, like 1 million dollars?
I have an account with IBAN at Monese but I heard they had problems with big money transmission...
Thank you!

Monese limits your balance to €40k.

So 1M transfers are out of question. In any case 1M transfers on free online based accounts is crazy talk.

I've receiving regular €5k transfers on Monese and it's working fine so far.

It's the most reliable account I had up to this date. I hope they continue like this.

What you could do in that case (even if it's not ideal) is create 6-10 accounts in your Premium user account. These can all transfer 50.000 per day and this way you can make the 300-500k transfer 👍

Thanks. Looks like the reviews were positive 1 year ago, but last few months only bad reviews.
Yeh, with this storys they want see a penny of mine.

Apparently nowdays any 'unbiased review' can be purchased so all those shady dodgers making their crooky business purely in internet would obviously buy some positive 'reviews' at the beginning.
So it's just that later the truth gets out.
