I've been informed by them over email that the card is now available to all EU residents except Germany and Switzerland. Third-party incoming SEPA transactions are allowed, and it's possible to send an outgoing SEPA transaction, but it has to be to a bank account in your name.

Just listened to the the Globcoin guys at a crypto forum . The Globcoin card does provide personal IBAN in Euro and shared IBAN in sterling , dollar , swiss franc ,zpolish zloty. They are launching a crypto currency Globcoin linked to a portfolio of national currencies ; may be on the card one day ??

http://www.trejdoo.com/en/ gives you a dedicated IBAN but not in your name, in their company's name (Igoria Trade). You need to email them a notarized scan of your ID and proof of address to receive one.

You can also top up your wallet through several shared IBANs (PL, CZ, SK, IE, NO, UK), but it has to be a from a bank account in your name. Only if you get their IBAN can you receive 3rd party transfers.

HostFat posted them in his Italian thread (but not in this one for some reason), so I decided to check them out. MoneyPolo was also a payment option for BTC-e for years.

There's also https://worldcore.eu/ with a shared (Czech?) IBAN, with a minimal 100€ deposit and a 15€ fee for third party SEPA deposits. Ugh.

Could as well mention https://advcash.com (thread) which is just a debit card, loading via a shared Czech IBAN, and not allowed from third parties (except companies). https://capitalist.net/ is another such card, both being well known/respected among Russians.

Not really. The problem is they don't have a blacklist of crypto-companies true that, they will be happy to accept but the thing they need to obey to the banks that they are in partnership with. If a bank says no then they have to follow this requirement.
If the IBAN is in your name it doesn't mean you can deal with crypto companies with no problem. Take a look at Transferwise, they do have personal IBAN but can't accept transactions with crypto companies

Yes, since their FAQ says something like: we can't receive/send Bitcoin, Litecoin etc but you can sell your coins on any exchange platform and then request a transfer to your Veritas account...
The bitcoin as a payment option greyed may be because the account needs to be verified.

You are of course correct, this is all true. VeritasCard has been offering their service since 2012 though, and added a personal IBAN last year. I won't order one from them though, was just curious and emailed them, someone else will have to confirm what they wrote.

You need to be careful when getting cards or opening accounts with fly-by-night or new card providers, especially if they promise everything which compliant and regulated companies don't allow. Some of these unheard-of card providers might be struggling with building a larger client base and will simply tell you what you want to read or hear as a lure to join.

Then when you have the account active and funded, you might find that their terms and conditions do allow what they promise subject to more terms and conditions. Or you might notice a deafening silence after injecting coins and money in their system.

Carefully check their terms and do extensive due diligence. Look out for reviews suggesting service inconsistencies or fraud accusations.

I got a reply from VeritasCard, confirming that outgoing SEPA transactions are in your name, meaning you can use it for crypto exchanges, etc.

They even have bitcoin as a payment option for your yearly fee, although greyed out for me for some reason...

They are probably not familiar with crypto transactions or even bitcoins so they gave you the safe, generic and template-type SEPA only and nothing else line.

By funds only, I'm assuming they want Euros transferred to their IBAN account and nothing else. Being based in the EU, I'm sure they are just as enthusiastic in complying with EU regulations and are probably not behind when it comes to new stuff such as the French decree limiting transaction amounts and requiring KYC for all French residents.

As per their site:

The account opening can be carried out online in less than 5 minutes. The account is then limited in use and can be extended by uploading a copy of an ID document and a proof of residency.

Unlike a traditional bank account, the Sogexia payment account does not offer overdraft nor cheques and works in real-time. Bank transfers are credited as soon as they are received without any additional value day, payments are visible immediately in the transaction history and transfers between two Sogexia accounts are instantaneous. Furthermore, notifications are sent via SMS and e-mail for each past and future transaction (e.g. an upcoming direct debit).

And most notably:

As of today, account applications are open to every European Union resident.

I can imagine their partner banks, BNP Paribas and Raphaels Bank, being not so happy about bitcoin-related payments.
