I am having a doubt regarding Bitrefill, and will be very grateful if anyone could help me. I am using this site for more than a year, to purchase gift cards. I never faced any issue until now. But recently, I have noticed one issue. For example, when I am purchasing an Amazon gift card, the price is being given as BTC0.00203800. However, before the confirmation of payment, the amount suddenly changes to BTC0.00223800. Earlier this issue was not there and I was paying the actual price of the gift card. Can anyone tell me from where this additional 10% charge is coming up?

Just leaving this here in case anyone wants to buy Spotify gift cards from coinsbee. Once you make sure that the card region matches your Spotify county, you have to type the ZIP code of the area you're in after the box for redeeming the gift card. If you are using a VPN, then that's the ZIP code of the VPN's IP address (which also must be in the same country as your Spotify account). It won't let you redeem your gift card without filling in the ZIP code.

But once you redeem it you're good to go, you can buy Spotify Premium like I did without a credit or debit card. Actually it autosubscribes you as soon as you redeem the gift card.

Is that a new thing? I tried a similar thing some time ago but I never managed to get the card to work.

I know that changing your country is not possible, so would create another account with a VPN do the trick? And would it be enough to do this as a one-time thing or there is a risk of getting locked afterward?

I forgot about this thread sorry about that. It looks like the ZIP code part has always been required to redeem the gift card.

No you don't need to create a new Spotify account in order to redeem it, but Spotify takes your ZIP code and presumably checks that it's in the country that matches your account's settings, hence why I recommended using the ZIP code the VPN's IP address is located in (definitely the ZIP code of its data center or ISP).

I haven't experienced any problems or login issues with my account after redeeming the gift card, and the Spotify app and website continue to work if you access them with a VPN of a different country then the one in your settings.

Hopefully I'll try buying and redeeming a Hulu gift card and see how that goes. What do you know, paying for your streaming with bitcoin  Smiley

It's probably because consolidating small inputs is expensive (depending on the transaction fee at the time).
0.0001 BTC is quite low considering BitPay for instance charges more.
~Snipped~
Hello, as the previous comment said, consolidating each input has a cost for us. Bitcoin onchain is too expensive for small payments now, if you want to deposit less than 0.004 you should use Lightning network, which has way lower fees and works instantly. Muun wallet is nice as it pays both onchain and Lightning from the same balance, you can scan either QR codes the same way.
Thank you for the explanations and confirmations [I hope it's a dynamic type of fee, even if there's still the option to use lightning].
- In regards to Muun, this is the first time I've read about it and it looks interesting enough [I might give it a try in the future (thank you for mentioning it)].

Is it from the same team who used to provide the debit cards?

Anyway, I can't see any real discounts there. A few examples:

A 20$ Amazon GC costs $24.01 (and according to them it was $43.66)
A 20 EUR Battle.net card costs $27.22 (was $50.99)

Which makes no sense at all.

Just a quick Bitrefill-Update: There is a fee of 0.0001 BTC for top-ups below 0.004 BTC on Bitrefill.
That's strange! I know it's not much but still is something that affects all of us [eventually it becomes a significant amount when combining all users] and I see no reason for it.
- Anyone knows the reason behind that extra cost [I did some digging but couldn't find anything]?

I only see the 0.0001 BTC warning when topping up my Bitcoin Balance. But I've also seen small inconsistencies between paying by Bitcoin or paying by balance, just like certain 10 euro coupons are more expensive than others:

My guess is they earn commission from some coupons, and adjust the total price accordingly. It's just weird that a 10 euro balance is often not enough to pay for a 10 euro coupon.
When paying with Lightning Network, the total varies a bit: sometimes a few sats more than on-chain, sometimes a few less.

those region based services are only for those specific regions or they are just for the currencies?
I want to buy Minecraft from google play store. I searched for google play vouch/gift cards there are so many results of different countries. so if I use Play Store USA I'll get Us dollars in my play store accounts and I can use them from anywhere I want, right?
or I must be from US myself?

It depends on the service. For google play, it should be possible to redeem your U.S GC after changing your IP address. I've done it before. If you get an error message, just try to google it and follow some guides online, it will work.

Again though, not all services work the same way. Netflix for example only allows gift cards with the currency you used to pay your subscriptions. So if you first paid your subscription in EUR, a USD GC will not work even if you are from the U.S.

Does anyone here know if the Careem GCs that Bitrefill sells are region locked or not? I know that deposited funds can be transferred to other users from any other region so I'm assuming that GCs funds are automatically converted too?

Do u know any site i can buy vanilla debit card like this bro ?
-SNIP-
Thanks you very much.

I haven't used them myself but it appears that both Coinsbee and eGifter have them:

- https://www.egifter.com/bitcoin/vanilla-egift-visa-virtual-account-25-bitcoin

Alternatively, you can check some P2P platforms. You might be able to find them at a small discount (watch out for scammers though).

Updates and deals:

- Bitrefill: https://blog.bitrefill.com/black-friday-cyber-monday-on-bitrefill-578fe9e62596
- Bidali released a phone app, if you use it when buying, you can earn up to 10% cashback.
- eGifter: https://www.egifter.com/promos
- Giftoff: https://giftoff.com/black-friday

Both Coinsbee and Bitrefill are out of stock (WebMoney and PerfectMoney). Do you guys know any other (good) alternatives? I've checked BestChange but the rates were not that attractive.

Any updates about this?

Yep, I contacted the merchant who assured me twice that the bank transaction was unsuccessful and therefore no payment was received. They couldn't give me any more details as I didn't give any information about the card.

I then tried to contact Prepaiddigitalsolutions but no response to date. In any case, I doubt I will receive a constructive one. I'm not the type of person to complain on Trustpilot and given the answers I think it's useless. 100€ to throw in the bin
If I would be the seller I would remove their card from my site so that my customers would not have an uncomfortable experience (even if it's not my fault)

(by the way, I remember it took me like 3 hours to register the card because the site is so buggy)
What the shit? 3 HOURS??? wtffff

Try sending a remainder email to Prepaiddigitalsolutions perhaps??? You never know, what will happen. Complain like a karen to them, they will refund you  Cheesy Tongue

But seriously though, don't give up on this, 100€ is quite a bit, so try what you can do.

No, I didn't contact them knowing that I'm sure they didn't receive anything. I'm going to try tomorrow because there's no one working at the weekends at the company.

But when I made the transaction, I got a "payment declined" message, and since I should have received the item instantly, that's why I'm pretty sure they didn't receive anything. Otherwise, I would have already received the order.

Any updates about this? and have you tried writing to Prepaiddigitalsolutions directly? I haven't got any serious issues with these cards yet but I must admit that I got a bit concerned, especially after checking the Trustpilot page.

Not every gift card is accepted at every online store. I've had bad experiences with Paysafe cards in the past. Coming from another country, was not accepted.

That's correct but some providers, like Bitrefill, for example, give you these details (the possible geolocation restrictions, and whether the card can be used in stores, or just online).
