People are still mining litecoin. It is the second largest coin in terms of market capitalization. So it is still alive.
and it's the only reason why they are mining it, miners simply need an alternative to bitcoin because bitcoin is not minable by small farm anymore, with enough profit
You got that right...why I exchanged my KNC pre-order Neptune (don't do pre-orders kids its evil) back in the day on the stalls and figured they'd be late (was right) got
a NO REFUND (don't do this kids either) KNC Titan and due to the fact NO MORE scrypt machines of that size or larger came out after (and got a good deal on a panic
sell of a 2nd Titan March 2015) well..I have ROI'd and still seeing 475 usd with 13c kwh elec already taken off that 475 usd so that's profit per month... at these prices per month and difficulty is still dropping (I hope) 9% last diff adjustment ..I'm still *lucky* better then OK ..but again it is because of LTC price drop in 2015 no bigger/newer miners made
to supplant my Titans etc
so yeah IF you can find a good deal on used scrypt equipment and/or IF you have cheap as hell electric (like 4c kwh or below) and/or IF you just want a 'space heater"
at work in your cubicle for your "footsies" and can mine LTC with that old GAW 600w 25mh unit off ebay for less then 100 bucks on the companies FREE electric
YOU MAY want to get one..but from what I can tell MOST used Titans are going to places in the world from Ebay or whatever from Western Countries (with like 13c kwh electric) back to China or wherever elec is cheap asap...or so it seems (possible exception is WASHINGTON state in USA or parts of Canada with cheap Hydro power at like 4c kwh)
but hell you need a space heater for your toes at work you got all sorts of options...
For mining LTC I mean
