It's holding steady against the US but dropping against the BTC. This stability can be seen as a good long term thing.

Haha, far from dead.

Making some good money of trading it the last couple days.
Analyzing the bitcoin market, but makes positions in LTC in stead. More volatile and easier to rake in some nice profit.

how much to hold how much to move to BTC hmmm........if I sell LTC to BTC (end of life titans estimate) well by sell next time the ratio of LTC gets more like around 0.01 LTC to BTC
anyway) I'd have 100 BTC with about 1000 plus LTC left after the fact...or should I wait and hope LTC pumps and just keep all in LTC and the 84 BTC I have now...

decisions decisions.........of 2015 how they have improved!!! Smiley

(FU KNC you dicks...I ROI'd big time w/my orig titan and later march used titan purchase.........in spite of on orig 4 months late and 2 month crummy firmware)

Side note:

really like this Forbes article on 17k potential BTC price by 2025......at least mentioned in a legit business magazine w/o snickering Smiley

http://www.forbes.com/sites/laurashin/2015/12/11/should-you-invest-in-bitcoin-10-arguments-in-favor-as-of-december-2015/

But if you have LTC miners above say 90mh or so and cheap enough electric (mine is not great 13c kwh but it works) life is pretty sweet for LTC being dead! Smiley

Bitcoin rise is LTC's gain. That's been  the case this past months while monitoring LTC and BTC price on coinmarketcap.

That retort around here is getting really old.
it seams to be the death cry of any shit coin

And i know for a fact it's a load of bullshit too.
Just because BTC goes up does not automagicaly mean your fucking shit coin does too !

Another classic fucking shill tardlet classic retort a few comment back..
Ohh ohhhh my XYZ shit coin is doing great.. i made money off it.
That proves sweet fuck all.
It's also funny you claim it was a good coin years ago because it was Asic resistant.....
NOW some douche is crying it's good because he made money with Asics ROFL

Not too many idiots left hanging around "HODLING"
Pretty soon there will be so few idiots left the price will not hold up and it will collapse.
Either the user base is growing or it's caving in and dying nub's.. wake up and don't be low hanging Investard™ fruit !

Never mind i am FUD'er ..Train .. Moon ..Lambo's .. Arise Chikun !

If you guys want to defend Litecoin then go ahead i have nothing against it.
I do have something against morons posting stupid bullshit though.

EDIT:
By the way.. You vultures bragging about making money off of LTC are a cancer to the coin helping to kill it.
Want to support LTC ?
Then you hold as many as you can (not dump for BTC to Fiat and brag)

i know what you mean "it is" maybe the right time for some
im holding some amount of ltc and dash in stack but i dont hope much cuz if i didnt sell them on 40$ i sure wont now

I hate to bring it up to you so plainly and straightforward, but it's NOT wise to stash alts. Alts are a fine leverage when BTC rides the top. Then AND ONLY THEN it's the right time to buy in and wait until the alts pump. Most possibly, if you're lucky that is, BTC will go back to "normal" (ie: heavy drop) and your "investment" will eventually bring back to you a nice 1.5x or even 2x of your initial BTC stash.

Of course, you can go low if you pick up the wrong horse, but, that's trading - I guess... Roll Eyes

I agree with the above IF YOU ARE BUYING COIN...if you are MINING say LTC it is best to hoard and wait for a ratio change in ltc to btc to around a 0.01 or above

at least it worked well last year before halving when mining LTC at 1.30 and held most of it till now

again with eventual move of LTC to BTC ...with maybe keeping 1000 ltc just to say i have a horde (fun to say I have a horde of crypo then whisper LTC....let folk assume it is btc lol)

anyway my strategy of last year that worked berry berry good for me!

If Litecoin is dead, the rest of the altcoin would be worse than dead. Unless you mean 'dead' by the price stagnating, very few altcoins can rise together with bitcoin. Litecoin is not considered as dead.

Ripple doesnt count. In China LTC is as huge as BTC. So, its not even close to being dead. Relax.

so if bitcoin price up litecoin price will be up too ?
any one can explain it ?

Not necessary true. If the US$ price of litecoin is fixed, when the price of bitcoin go up, litecoin price in terms of bitcoin will drop. This happened to many alcoin when the bitcoin price rose recently.

seem like that ltc is following btc in big jumps but price change is in cents not in dollars so this may be good only for those who have 1000 or more ltc stashed

*IF* BTC continues it's ride up, this is the perfect moment to get yourselves some LTCs/XMR/ETH, ie: "heavy" alts. Later it will be too late. Roll Eyes

Bitcoin rise is LTC's gain. That's been  the case this past months while monitoring LTC and BTC price on coinmarketcap.

The dollar price of litecoin has not risen. It is quite stable. Its price relative to bitcoin has dropped, similar to other coins.

It has risen... actually depends of the time period that you are looking at. And if you compare the graphs of BTC/CNY BTC/USD and LTC/USD you will see that they rise and fall exactly at the same time and intensity. And if you look the last 30 days, BTC and LTC had a 10% increase. But if you look the last 7 days, BTC had a 20% increase while LTC only had 10%, so, this is where your drop in relative price comes from

yea but this time is small price change last time was great price change
but it not over yet it still have time

this probably did not hurt any....looks like the mulitipools are shutting down with other alts and/or being specific on just btc /ltc /dodge and a few others

http://www.newsbtc.com/2015/12/06/cex-io-terminates-support-for-altcoins/

probably why the hell LTC spiked on top of the fact imho some new scrypt data halls..but still....did not know this

any others besides ghash.io pulling the plug on multipool alt pools?
