Short-term vs. Long-term Investments: What's the Difference? ... Long-term investments are those vehicles that you intend to hold for more than one year — in fact, you generally intend to hold them for several years. On the other hand, you usually hold short-term investments for one year or less.
Short term is suitable for experienced traders, and those who can successfully predict the change of the cryptocurrency, earn more than on long term
Long term - Bitcoin and Ethereum. Both are perfect assets.

Long term is the method of coin holding for me. I don't like to have coins stored somewhere for a short period.The main goal for long-term investment and holdings are to have a chance to earn higher return of investments that could be helpful on our future goals.
So whether the altcoins are pumping high or low then investments for long-term is the best option to choose.
Thanks for my full-time job career that could support my family's basic needs so I could hold my altcoins as long as I want.
it depends on the coins you are holding but most of my coins that I get from bounty campaigns they aren't pumping that much so therefore I am holding them for long-term or maybe I will sell them off after a year.
But for some of the altcoins that I am holding, they are pumping really high like Oyster Pearl PRL, Ripple, NEO and Ethereum so they are all for my short-term.
I am going to sell them after few months to fund my projects like building my new house, buying my new car and establish local business in my city.

Having some patience and sticking with some coins you believe have a good future is something that for me anyway took some time to get to grips with, it's easy to get into the quick selling mindset.
It can also depend on how the coin acts, it could be in a a pump phase so whilst also being your long term coin you would be crazy not to take some profit but a solid portfolio would include those coins you view as long term and short term coins.

Crypto is now out in the open and the dynamics of the game have changed. I think that this will be lat alt season which is upon us now. So this time I will be getting rid of all my short term coins and buying coins which I believe in long term, ethereum classic to name one.
i think when you are in beginner in trading. i think its a must to take it short because so many things you need to learn a technicals skills about that. so, long term mindset will enter and you will notice what is the right techniques for making a big profit. for me, i will choose long term. for peace of mind.
A long term coins are the foundation of the savings is more advantage to choose because it will provide a higher income and you will gain more..than a short term because the price is not stable or even no value and may not be much of anticipated profit..

I'm doing like you. So that I have the opportunity to sell the coins that are available with minimal damage. Sometimes we really invest in coins that are not for the future, we need to make trade with such coins without losing time. Sometimes it is more profitable to invest in the long term
long-term or short-term investment I think is more comfortable long term but short term is also good depending on us taking advantage of that time and how we make the best use of it and all that must be the result and for that all benefit us why not
For speculation for one day, I use litecoin and bitcoin cache. And I invested in bitcoin for a long period (I bought it for 11200, so I'm waiting for the price increase).

In my opinion, both have advantages and disadvantages. But it is better to choose long-term investment because it can get more value if you sell above and buy back a little lower. Many are taking the risk of choosing long term because they know that it can benefit them bigger. You have an investment not to sell it directly rather than holding it and getting it.

It is quite difficult to predict the movement of the crypto currency and catch the difference between "short" and "long". But I think that one rule works. We need to prepare to wait and in parallel to engage in fundamental analysis, carefully study the behavior of well-established crypto-currencies and pay attention to the indicators of past periods.
