My longest break ig happening right now
With this crisis hitting us so hard, it's easy to think again about any cent, and I took some time off gambling a month ago, did not spend any cent and I'm waiting to see some improvement in my regular job to get back to gambling

I guess that will happens too with the gamblers who play in the casino, and this time, they will have the longest break for not playing gambling. But that can impact to the gamblers who play in online gambling because they should concern about their life now, and don't spend the money for unnecessary things that they don't need. It is more important to get healthy first, and have enough food and drink while we are at homes.

It is really hard to rake a break on gambling when you are a full time gambler and also if it is also a habit or hobby of yours but just like what many people are saying, if you want there's a hole there's a way meaning if you want to take a break then you can do it if you want it really but if you don't you have a countless of reasons.
The same as the typical office worker who wants to take a break. But everyone deserves a break or a vacation, if you treat gambling as a job then you should treat yourself first and take a break.
You can do it anytime because you can have an indefinite leave and you can comeback at any time.

I've never had a long break. Probably the longest ones that I had were close to a month. I tend to bet on something at least once a month and usually once every 2 weeks. Sometimes it's an MMA match and sometimes a simple round of poker or blackjack.

I don't spend a lot of money on it but I also don't intentionally stay away from gambling. I know that I can stop if I need to but a small bet from time to time doesn't hurt anyone Wink

In this lockdown period is even more difficult to have a long break from gambling.People are staying at home not doing much beside watching Tv and sending emails in their job which is done from home. These conditions intensify the desire to do something like gambling so in this period is almost impossible to have a long break.
many people in my country are home because of this virus so they can't make money because they can't do their jobs so gambling is really hard but I'm sure for people who are wealthy and their jobs can be done from home they can do online gambling activities that in my opinion can produce when lucky.

To be honest, before the spread of the corona virus, I almost never took a break from gambling. Because for me gambling can be a stress reliever
from my work in the real world. But at the end of 2019 was the longest break from gambling for me about 10 days, when I was on vacation with
family. With the current situation can only gamble online on the internet, hopefully the corona virus crisis can quickly end. Because I am more
likes gambling at the casino.

Like some members I gambling a little. In this time of quarantine, I have not wanted gambling. It is very difficult now. I am helping my family I also have an unemployed brother and I don't have extra money for me. Now my priority is to take care of the family until this bad weather ends.
Those that are still betting at this time of covid pandemic are chronic gamblers,  most especially those gambling on some lower leagues, they tend to loose more because there's no accurate statistics for those lower leagues,  the best thing to do is to totally stay out of gambling for now so as to avoid stories that touch
Nope you are wrong mate because there are many gamblers that can afford playing, those who has enough money to cover their gambling habits.

you are only addressing those who has no Job now or being locked down without compensation but there are many people that has funds to spare now.

When I was in high school I was so addicted even after class I rush to the gambling den. there was no online gambling at that time when I was playing. I saved my money in school just to be able to play at that time. but suddenly I always lose right after I was about to graduate from high school, I stopped playing. till now, I never went to that place anymore.
You know what? that was the stage where you are in high risk, you are not matured at that time so you might end up with serious addiction, good thing you realize and you were able to correct your mistakes. Saving your money just to gamble seems a wrong attitude, you are suppose to enjoy your money and not gamble it, usually people who gamble are those have stable income as they can sure afford to gamble.

Are you guys also on a gambling break for now? Or are you still betting currently?
I continued to play gambling but used my minimum funds because I was bored having to stay without activities during this pandemic. I play gambling just to get rid of my boredom with a reasonable betting limit so that I still have control and not fall into addiction.

We should sometimes enjoy, and if gambling is the way then we should do it.
However, it's necessary to ensure that we are gambling with fun, otherwise things will be worst, pandemic is killing not only our health but our money as well, so we should not add to that problem in our lives, it's just suppose to be fun, not the way that we focus on full time in gambling.
yes, that's where gambling control is needed at a time like this, it should be to make money, instead spend it on gambling, if you don't have control while playing.

If they bet small amounts then why not? During quarantine, many are stressed and do not know how to spend their free time - betting can help with this. And learning new lower leagues is a separate training for the mind and entertainment, I do not see anything wrong with that.

I use to break from gambling during several years, as I remember it was because I was really fed up against a bookmaker and I had lost all my funds on the platform. So I decided to not deposit more funds and to stop gambling.

Yes, I remember a slogan, "When there is a will, there will be the way." People can try to use that to strengthen themselves to stop gambling, and maybe writing that word in their room will help them to stop gambling. Many ways that we can do leave gambling, and the longer we can stay away from gambling, I think we can solve the addiction inside ourselves, so we reduce the addiction in the future.

I gamble seldomly so in my opinion it's been so long that I haven't gamble again. The reason why I am not gambling all the time or twice a week or how many times you gamble within a certain time is I always think that losing money is easy and winning money is very hard that's why it's for fun and passing time when I gamble.

This is what gambling ideally should be for fun and to entertain yourself but then people think it is easy or shortcut way to make quick money and in this anticipation many have tried their luck and then many end up losing a lot of money and also get addicted to it and results into many adverse effect on the health. Some may also win it an becomes millionaire but may have also lost quite a lot before becoming millionaire.

So as long as this quarantine period hasn't expired, many are in a break.

I agree. I would say the current Covid-19 crisis is the longest break I took from gambling so far. Since most sports are paused and no matches are going on, there is currently not much to bet on. I don't want to place bets on any random sports I don't know. T

Are you guys also on a gambling break for now? Or are you still betting currently?

I'm still betting cos there's a lot of things to bet on, from my point of view: Bitcoin's and alts' price, USA presidential election, DOTA 2, etc.

And I disagree that "there is no point betting the 5th tennis league in Papua New Guinea". As long as we have Google at our disposal, we can do our research on anything, to not depend on luck entirely.

But that is not to say that we should be betting constantly without any breaks. In my personal opinion, the longer the breaks one is able to arrange, the better for him/her. The whole experience feels more intense after a break, that's a fact.

That's right! Place bets on obscure events - it's like playing at a casino!
Before the pandemic, I also analyzed some Champions League football games, but now I don't bet.
Maybe after the pandemic, too, I will have to abstain from betting for a while, because it is unknown how the athletes will recover from the break!
Probably this waiting is the longest time for gamblers!
