It will be hard if you are already addicted to gambling because as you said it becomes a habit already. Getting out of gambling addiction is very hard you may need professional help or rehabilitation to ensure that you will not gamble anymore because if you will just say you'd stop on your own but we know temptations are everywhere if you are not that willing to really stop then you can't stop. Personally, the longest for me is like years, I don't gambling much and I only gamble when bored and sometimes I forget it for months or even years.
Inmy first day of not do gambling its really hard to stop and it make feel regret to not continue because there something inside me to take advantage of a situation even I won a  enough amount through it. It take years before I decide to come back and play again but now I do gambling only for fun unlike before that I make it as hobby thats why I become addicted to it.
It is difficult at first particularly when gambling is your habit, you can't easily retain yourself but as long as you are determined to discontinue gambling the you will find a way to manage yourself. It usually takes time and effort to learn self-discipline in order to get a hold of yourself from playing. I'm not a compulsive gambler but I know someone who set himself a limitation on gambling for about 8 months, he told me that it wasn't easy especially when you are surrounded by people who gambles often. He keep himself away from them and went on a vacation to feel relax and do various of things that can make him entertained other than gambling like reading books and watching movies. It went well because he can finally stop himself from playing whenever he want, making him realize how it affects his health and his financial status makes a positive impact on his process of getting better.

Before crypto, I had long breaks from gambling. I am in crypto more than 5 years, and in that time the longest break is maybe a week, if not less. Possibility to gamble from home, with mobile phone from anywhere, suits me, because my free time is here on the computer or on job on my mobile phone, and sometimes I use that free time for gambling among other things.
But I don't gamble with huge amounts all the time, I play poker on micro stakes table, or free tournaments, sometimes I play dices with some little bankroll just for fun, or any other game.

The longest break I had was only 9 months,

I had my personal reason that time and I highly focused myself only with my work and nothing more. At first I feel uneasy since I suddenly stoped gambling, it is my habit before but since I have decided to stop I take a long break from gambling.

Right now, I am back again with my ol md hobby...

It's hard to take a break from gambling if it's become a habit, what's your Longest Break You Have On Not Gambling, in my case my longest days of break from gambling is 30 days when I take a vacation from a place when there are no casinos, and no internet connection.
I gambling in 2017 for almost a year and just like a normal gambler it is really addicting especially if you are winning so I think I just keep on playing because of the profit that I getting.
2017-2018 I play gambling and then have a rest until today because of the bitcoin market price that dumps in the past years I started to convert my bitcoin and don't gamble until today. I just think that gambling was not worth anymore because you could lose your money and the profit that I earn in the past years was not easy to earn today so I rather convert it to money than to use the bitcoin in gambling.

So you didn't gamble ever since 2018 end? That's actually fabulous buddy! I have studied a fact that if you don't practice a habit for 21 days straight, you automatically leave that habit. So, I'm sure you are not addicted to it anymore even if you psychologically think you have just taken a break. Will plead to you not to go into gambling again as it will be easier for you now Smiley

21 days philosophy have been very much in the trends as have attended various conference and seminar and this thing is recommended by many of them. Also, those who have left in 2018 itself then they have the will power to stop whenever they wish too and due to self-discipline only this could be possible.

I'm currently on a break right now and it has been my break since November of last year I think or September.

TBH, I totally stopped gambling anymore because of lack of funds and at the same time my priorities and expenses is one of them. Gambling is not my priority ever since and even when I started gambling, I only spend at most 10$ in one gambling game (sports betting).

There are some gamblers here where "gambling break" is not on their vocabulary. What I mean is they don't have a gambling break. As long as they have money, they will gamble and gamble and gamble Cheesy.

Currently, I'm been out of gambling for than a month, I'm not sure though if this is the longest so far. Although is really tough on my end fighting the 'demon' inside of me.  Smiley. The reason that makes me go away with gambling as of the moment is that I don't have money to lose, simply as that. So if the itch comes to my mind, I can simply fight it by saying that I don't have the money and I can't afford it to lose.
That's enough reason to keep away from this habit, without funds to use will continue to let you out from any gambling activities. Keep in mind that every penny you have needs to be used to a much important things from that point you'll be able to make decisions that will keep you safe.

Very true it is hard to take a break from gambling. In my case a day or two to the most I can say I did not play. Otherwise I have been playing regularly. It is hard to resist a gambling now days. It is so easy to play this game on any device.

It is indeed very easy to gamble nowadays. You can even gamble in the comfort of your home using mobile or a personal computer through online gambling. You can even gamble as low as $.50 or even lower from the other betting ang gambling websites. So might as well I say It's really hard to resist gambling, specially if you found yourself bored.
But there were two types of gamblers that I know. The one who gambles for fun, and the other is gambling to earn profit.
The availability of playing gambling, Makes people play easier that contributes to the factor that they can't resist playing gambling. Unlike on the physical casino that is a mere hassle cause you need preparation before you go there and play. Sitting home and finding a very comfortable environment is one of the variables that droves us to play even more and making us struggle with not playing gambling.

Since I once big loss, I did not often gamble because my financial condition was not good. I have no funds to gamble, so I gamble only occasionally when there is cold money, it I can also  control, when the game is uncomfortable, I usually stop and continue on the other day. I quit a week and played 2-3 days, then I break again a week and gamble again and continued like that. It's better than gambling every day.

I see you have good control for yourself, so you don't gamble every day, and you can hold yourself to playing gambling. Yes, we should control ourselves and treat gambling as a way to have fun, but we need to know that we cannot play gambling every day if we don't have money to be used in gambling. If we have another thing to do in every day, I think we can prevent ourselves from playing gambling because our day will be busy to do that thing and we will never think about gambling if we don't have free time.

I am not that addicted to gambling, I just play whenever I want, sometimes when I am in the mood I can play twice or thrice in a month, sometimes I don't play when I feel unlucky. Since I am not feeling lucky more so I don't play much gambling although I really enjoy it but I know how to manage my loses. I can say that, I always have a break when it comes to gambling.

wow, 2 to 3 times in a month, I think I cannot do that man, gambling for me is like part of my daily life already and since i can access it easily, I can easily be tempted to play. If you have some BTC or ETH in your wallet and you like to have fun a bit, you can do it by instantly transferring your coins to a certain gambling site, I don't spend much, just enough to have fun but I don't expect too much as to win as sometimes that will lead me to more loses.
I think  it takes half a year is my longest break in gambling because I focused to my personal things in my life then last month I try to gamble again and I feel strange because there's a lot change, and i notice the value of crypto is increase much more. that's why I become interested again to it not only to gambling site but to gain more profit through crypto that I want to hold.

Its really been hard to take a break out from gambling especially if you are embedded in this habit. In my case, I've never been so much attach in gambling so its never been hard for me to take a break besides, I never used casino games to earn money but rather just a plain entertainment but if I win that would be a bonus I'd say. Anyway, if I had this habit probably I will take a longer brake if I totally lose all of my bankroll.
After becoming an addict, no doubt one cannot easily control his habit to gamble money regularly. Moreover, it is also very easy to develop the habit of playing this game. Money is a big factor behind its addiction. Good for you if you are not to much involved into this game. You are well aware of the consequences. As log as the gambler plays in limits, he wont just stay safe but enjoy the game in real sense.

It is not all about the money, it includes also the way of earning it, most of the people compare earnings in gambling in earning we do have in an actual job or businesses. We all wanted to earn easy money but the thing is, other people want gambling, it is legit an easy way or earning money but losing money in there is more easy, risky but worth the risk for those who are lucky enough to pull their game in their lives.

i think for almost 6 month i stop gambling after the bitcoin market price go up in 2017 after that the bitcoin price goes down and then suddenly I quit gambling for almost 6 months because the bitcoin price was really frustrating for me and i lost a 400$ investment in bitcoin because of the dump in the market price so I decide not to bet my bitcoin and spend it to a passive income.
After that the do gambling with just a small amount and trying to win in a different games on a lot of websites. I think always winning and wanting to win every time makes you addicted to gambling as all we want is to earn a profit.
