I have stayed on the village for a month 1 year ago and the last time I remember was that time as a longest break from gambling. The addicts find a way to connect the gambling site, and they see the online casinos as no exit street. The long but boring breaks make the person more emotional when they come back to gamble one more time, from my experience.

Last year I went to my village home for two months due to my health issues. Unfortunately, there were no bars or casinos nearby and there was no internet connection. Although I did not spend my time boring because I had many relatives there, but that was my longest break from gambling.

I've personally gone several months without gambling, it really isn't difficult since I only gamble casually or when a local high stakes came pops up in my Poker group.

Honestly, if you're tracking how long it's been before you've gambled, then it's likely that you're trying to overcome gambling addiction.

Counting the days is a good way to track your progress, but you should also be doing more constructive exercises, including learning how to avoid cues and triggers that might make you relapse again.

I actually haven't been gambling as of recently either. I usually do play on online casinos, but there's been so many things going on that I just don't have much time to gamble much if at all right now. It's strange because I usually gamble to take my mind off things, but it just hasn't been working for me recently and I'd rather be as productive as possible during times like these.

This might also turn out to be the longest time that I've stopped gambling if coronavirus keeps spreading as expected. I typically don't gamble during vacations and times like that, but this has the possibility to last longer.

Sorry to say, but looks like you already gambled. You went to a place without any casino, but you also went to a place where there is no internet connection (so I assume there isn't any kind of cellular network, right?). So yeah, there you go. You already gambled with your life  Roll Eyes. You could have been in danger or lost, yet you wouldn't be able to communicate with anyone.
Lol, jokes apart, I don't gamble much in a casino, but when I used to I don't remember taking a break from gambling. Though I would stop for few days, not because I felt like, its because i didn't want to. Probably not a gambling addict thats why.

Actually I am a person that is not really used in gambling, so even though I will not play a weeks or a month it is still nothing on me. but anyway back to the topic, the longest break I had on not gambling is almost 10 months, this is the time when I am seriously focused on my school works, I am really busy on that time so I did not attempt to play gambling. Well, for me it was good for me because nothing disturb me on my studying. I can focus on what I am doing because gambling is not there.

The longest break I have taken was three years ago when the financial situation was good.
so How long was that?and you did not gamble because the financial situation is good?i think it is the other way around right?
Almost 2 years, IIRC. What I mean if the financial situation is OK and there is no stress as waiting for the next paycheck, I will not go closer to the gambling websites. I don't see the won amounts as a source of income on the gambling business.

Some people just enjoy their time without worrying about financial gain. I was in the second situation during the last quarter of 2017.
meaning you only gamble to win?so when your financial situation is good you don't bother playing?
thats wrong perception mate because it is more better to Play and enjoy than looking for Profit.
You are right but you misunderstood me. The thread is about the longest break and what caused this break. The correlation between making money and fun crosses in gambling but not everyone thinks like us.

I am currently in lockdown for the past 10 days and it is supposed to be  there for the next 11 days. This is the time when I am not getting the urge to gamble. I feel till the lockdown is active I might not gamble.

I am not a regular but, whenever I want I gamble sometime it is more than twice a week or none. After the lockdown and staying with the family I just don't want to gamble.

It's easy for me not to gamble since I am not addicted to it. I don't exactly know how long but if I'm not mistaken, it's for about three months or even longer. Since I am still a student, it's not too long ago since I started gambling, and I told myself that I won't get too attached to it. It was fun to play and gamble, but I had to take a break to focus on my studies and other stuff. I also had some short breaks every time I became so busy with school, as I don't want to get affected.

Looking at the current situation, I guess I will also have to take a break on gambling since I need to prioritize my budget for the essential things. Since there is quite of expenses, I need to earn it back before I can go back to gambling. I guess that is another break for me.

I don't know about you guys, but it seems that I lost some appetite on gambling with the advent of Covid-19 pandemic as I'm just inside in the house, not getting to my favourite physical casinos because obviously we are in a lockdown.

So probably this could turn out to be good in a way, as you don't have a choice but to just stop your gambling habits because of the current situation and this break might be extend even further. So it could be one of the longest break I have.

There is a deep correlation between financial freedom and gambling, some people make their best move for profit in gambling.
Yups some gamblers really do good and make a living doing betting but only few and majority are losers.
Some people just enjoy their time without worrying about financial gain. I was in the second situation during the last quarter of 2017.

I have taken a break of 2 years in a row.
It was a time when I lost a good amount of money (for my pocket) and I was so angry about that, that I closed my account permanently.
It got me 2 years without any need of gambling, when it came that time again that I opened a new account in another online platform!

This is a significant time where you have been away from gambling which means you have a good control on yourself. Also just play for fun and entertainment so that it will keep you always in check and would not loose lot of money and also if you lose it would not be much as you know you are playing for fun and not going to get back. Just in case if you win it an additional amount you get it. So that you would always be in balance and would not lose huge amount that may hurt you in the end.

Being rest of 2 years is good because you can refresh your self and you save money and I was hoping that you came back to the gambling you can play only with a extra money that you use as capital and don't lose again all of your money because money is important it is basic needs everyday .  Goodluck to you and hope every play gambling you win.

I am a gambler, but I can help myself, I mean not having to do it every day or because of a desire that must be forced.
I played poker to make money and didn't do it for fun so if I lost a tournament that day, I was very upset that I didn't even want to play for that moment, because being a person who was eliminated when BUBBLE was annoying and made me mad  Angry.
so I can stop myself from playing whenever it is.

Maybe you need to control yourself and stop playing gambling for a while. Sometimes we want to make money by playing poker games but the fact, we will always compete with the other players who have high skills, and we never thought that players could beat us in that game. By stop gambling for a while can make your mind fresh, and I think you will get another strategy or method to win because we can see the hidden sign that we never saw before. Yes, being lost in the gambling games will make us mad and sad, but that is what happens in the gambling games.

This thread has become more relevant in the situation that we are facing now, as the virus makes us stay at our home and most games are suspended, then I would think that we are having a break now. In our country, the initial lock down was 1 month but might be extended, so I would say I'm a big off in gambling now as due to lack of income, I need to conserve the money that I have now.
Yes, it became relative because everyone's been locked down at their homes.

I think it will be hard to be on break in gambling now because everyone is looking for a way to do something while at home. Gambling is one of the best choice to do something at these times.

Not on people who have big budget with gambling, like those who are professional gamblers who has been gambling ever since.
For typical gamblers like us, some of us might lay off a bit not due to the crisis we are facing, it's so boring to stay at home but if finances is the hindrance we can't do anything about it as money is what we risk in gambling in order to enjoy, we can't risk money that we can't afford to lose at the moment.

you have already leave gambling then why need to open new account?and are you referring that you only played Online gambling?what about playing with friends either in real casino or some gambling bars?
or at least playing outside your house with bet?
for example betting in Basketball championship or football?
that 2 years is long enough for you to live without gambling and no need to comes back.
