I don't request loans~
March 28, 2020, 01:27:18 AM
Broke away from gambling when I had a few financial problems. Lasted for about half a year almost? I had to regulate the cash flow I had going on at the time so I couldn't really get to gambling at the moment. Ngl though, when I came back boy was it enjoyable. It felt like all of my entire time gambling couldn't even hold a candle to the time I spent when I came back. From then on, I decided to make a habit out of it and decided to leave the gambling for a few months every now and then before coming back to play another few months. It honestly makes everything more enjoyable and makes it feel like less of an addiction now but more of a hobby or something.

That is good for you because you did not play gambling in 1 month , sometimes they have time that we can't play because the place we go there is no internet connection. But actually we really want to pkay but we don't have choice because there is no way for us to gambling when I take vacation before in Island for almost 1 week only but after I return on that day I play and I miss gambling.
Having a break in gambling also necessary, even those popular gamblers also take some vacation from gambling to spend time and enjoy with their love ones. As a gambler, it's not good if we do it on a daily basis, we are not robot, we have our needs and we also have to mingle with other people, that way we will minimize the risk of getting addicted in gambling.
Break is important because it heals our trading psychology and it is also the time that we can free from stress. For those who lose big amount of money in gambling, break is necessary in order to throw all of the emotions and also to have a better and good decisions. My longest break reached 6 months and for me it is too long because that time I focus on trading and not in gambling.

I think some people will have the longest break from gambling because we are in emergencies, and that is happening in all country. Many people have been suggested to stay in their homes without going to have anywhere.

It is actually the contrary. People working from home and getting paid (likely) and not having money to spend on booze or drugs will be spending money on gambling if not for the wiser ones who will choose to hoard it for future needs. Dont get me wrong, but the online casino businesses will be working nicely even in a lockdown since internet services is still on.

Live casinos will suffer a lot during this time. I am sure Vegas is having a pretty poor time at this time of the year.

I have taken a break of 2 years in a row.
It was a time when I lost a good amount of money (for my pocket) and I was so angry about that, that I closed my account permanently.
It got me 2 years without any need of gambling, when it came that time again that I opened a new account in another online platform!

Can't exactly remember but if i'm not mistaken maybe 5 months. That's the time I got tired of lossing and came into my mind i'm just wasting my time and money but of course came back again and had a more than a month of winning streak. With the situation we are having right now, many gamblers will take a break and prioritize their lives more. I don't think they will transfer in online gambling or crypto gambling rather, just to satisfy their gambling habit. Most of them only trust physical casino especially those big time players and also, that's what they've used to.

WOW

One more month and you would have completed half of the year. That is incredible. I do not gamble everyday but, I cannot say that I had completely stopped gambling. I occassionally gamble more than once in a month.

Considering the present situation, where you have to stay indoors that frequency might increase.

couple of months i guess?because lucky that i don't really gamble that much so i can allow myself from not playing even within straight months.

the problem is for those addicted gamblers that cannot find ways to limit their habits so for sure even in bed all they thinking is betting in their favorite gambling games.

Let's leave the addicted gamblers in the discussion because it's guaranteed that they'll gamble all the time if they can.
For normal gamblers, we can control ourselves and I think if we use the current situation now where we are quarantine at our home and major sports are suspended, this is the time that some of us would rest from their gambling activity.

Personally I would say that I am not gambling that much now, the time I spent when there was still sports was more and the money I risk as well but now, I spend a little time, not doing it regularly, instead I spend more time with my family.

It's hard to take a break from gambling if it's become a habit, what's your Longest Break You Have On Not Gambling, in my case my longest days of break from gambling is 30 days when I take a vacation from a place when there are no casinos, and no internet connection.

As i gamble for fun and my primary reason to gamble in not to earn my livelihood , i do take periodic breaks from my gambling.  The reason could be anything from too much work at job to spending time with family , my relation with gambling has always been on and off. The longest break i have taken from gambling can be of around 3 months.

I remembered gambling 3 years ago, now I dont want to gamble overly. I just gamble for leisure.

When I was an active gambler, my most longest break ever was half a year when I need to finance myself education.

Now i have some spare time to play but i usually avoid it to become an addiction again.

I haven't gambled for a long time and even if I gambled for a while I could only beat it for a small amount because I didn't want to get addicted to this again. Now I only gamble when I want to relax and when I'm just having fun.
Because I know that gambling is so addictive and life-threatening that I've experienced it before.

Mine is only 4 months. That time I only focused on my review for my board examination. My daily routine during my review is just Eat - Review sleep a little bit then Review again Cheesy. I have no time for gambling that time or even play mobile games. Now that I fortunately passed and now a licensed ME, let's see how things go. I make small bets now but other problems (debts and adult responsibilities I guess) still hinder me to go back to normal lol.

Playing gambling everyday is still good ,
Is it good or bad is a personal moral decision. Economic effects of gambling for long is bad and so are the health and social problems.

Quote
they have streotyping when we know a player play everyday and we think and judge them like addict but the true addict is they play everyday plus they using more money and they lend money to others too.
In that way no one can be declared as an addict. The points in favor of being an addict outweigh the the points against against it. Nobody wants to shame others by calling them an addict but the important thing is to identify your addiction and control it.

Vacation is really important to relax yourself.
This is debatable. Some people actually go on a vacation to gamble as a mode of entertainment. This is for the casual gamblers who are not addicts and doing it once a year for fun.

The longest break I had was only 9 months,

I had my personal reason that time and I highly focused myself only with my work and nothing more. At first I feel uneasy since I suddenly stoped gambling, it is my habit before but since I have decided to stop I take a long break from gambling.

Right now, I am back again with my ol md hobby...

9 months is a long time! How did you not manage to leave it totally lol? It's understandable if it was just your hobby and not permanent type of addictions as those are really hard to get rid of haha.
I don't think anyone has gambling as a hobby. Even if it is taken up as hobby it will soon turn into an addiction according to me.
Being away from gambling is easy if something else in your life is interesting and if you are busy in that.

One thing is sure that if people turn gambling into hobby then you are bound to get addicted sometime in your future if not now. And if people need to stay away from it then the easiest way is to start developing passion for something else. This will keep you busy with new hobby and help you also to stay away from gambling unless you want to use gamble for fun at times which is fine.

The problem is most of us here started gambling as a hobby and almost everyone is now addicted. A hobby always has a negative aspect depending on your choice of hobby.

1 month of not playing is actually normal, usually when you aren't really a straightforward gambler just like me. But for some other people that I know who usually gambles, they don't feel like their day is complete if they didn't bet even a single one.

But actually we really want to pkay but we don't have choice because there is no way for us to gambling when I take vacation before in Island for almost 1 week only but after I return on that day I play and I miss gambling.

That is because you miss the sensation of winning. But if you consider gambling as something you could do if you don't have nothing to do for a time, I don't think we could miss playing even if it is 1 month or longer.

Yes, it is too hard to take a break in gambling when you've already find that you are lucky in playing those gambling platforms. But as time goes by, our priorities will setup like family and own goals in life, because there is no happiness can give when you choose money as your priorities in life. Setting your priorities in life make your life more meaningful and taking a break in gambling is good if you don't find happiness and fulfillment there well it's up to you if you take a break forever.

Being away from gambling is easy if something else in your life is interesting and if you are busy in that.
They start gambling as a pastime and maybe a hobby though I am not sure how much it classifies as one. After that they put in some money trying to make it big and they lose it and try winning it back and they enter the cycle of the addicted gambler. You will also find gamblers who actually started gambling trying to be a professional gambler, but few of them survive the grind.

So it is better to take breaks and not gamble for a while. Maybe evaluate the condition one is in before playing again.
