No fresh news yet but there are rumors it won't be a major injury and this fact itself gives me hope.

Yes, hopefully the rumors are true that it was not that serious injury.

Oh man , Celtics vs Bulls tonight and I just had a teeth extraction so I might just head to sleep for a couple of hours and then be awake , ready and fresh for this game and maybe even trow a small bet of 5$ on it as I don't use to gamble as much as I did before ...because tough times lately but this game should be a banger and a spectacle to watch.

Both are in a winning streak, it will be on the Celtics home court so that is big, they have 15-5 record at home so let's see. Key for Bulls to win is that they shouldn't allow the Celtics to get wax hot early in the first quarter and took a big lead. They should make it close as they can.

And then let Zach Lavine and DeRozan match up with Tatum and they should take the scoring load as well.

It's looking good for the Chicago Bulls and for their fans out there.
3rd a winning streak. Zach LaVine is sizzling hot. Yesterday 41 points were against the 76ers and now a hot 36 points against the Jazz and defeating them in the process. That's a back-to-back game for him and yet there's no trace of exhaustion.
With him playing like this with most of their games, they will go back to a higher seed in speed. Now, they are sitting at the 9th spot but that should not stop there.
Their next stop is against the Boston Celtics on the road, it will be a rough game for them. Offensive duos will clash at TD Garden.

Yep mate, that's what I have predicted that's why I chooses the Bulls to win again against the struggling Jazz team. Remember that there are rumors that he wants to be traded, but we are not sure about it. But with this performance of him and DeRozan, it's hard to stop them if both star players are playing that offensive basketball.

There were anxious moments in the game wherein I thought that they are going to lose specially at the start of the 4th that they are still trailing. But in the last 8 minutes, both of them turn the game over, they made a run and they build a 10 point lead and that was enough to hold off the Jazz late rally.

If both stars will play in the same level the winning chance of the team is better, those trade rumors might cooldown for a while and we
are seeing good performances from Lavine and DeRozan.

Like you said, if they will continue playing like this and those role players who are playing with them will also contribute decently.

They can move back on top and chase for the playoff spot, too early but hopefully they will.

I keep hearing lavine talks to new york but why would the bulls give up on Levine?  I think it's all talk and click bait.  They knicks have 7 first round picks in the next 5 years but lavine's spot as a guard isn't what the Knicks need.  Depending on how obi rebounds from injury, the Knicks need another viable power forward.  Lavine ain't going anywhere.

Nothing is certain as of now because the trade talks are still on going and some are still mere speculations, until the trade deadline arrives where we will definitely find out which team will be participating in the trade and who are they getting, and what are they getting from it. So far, I'm not seeing anything from LaVine's position that will get the Knicks interested, just like what you said, it's not what they needed.

So any update regarding the injury of Kevin Durant?

I think this is a serious matter that we need to discuss because if that injury is so bad and he will be advise to miss the remaining season, the Nets will certainly not be the same team anymore. Durant and Irving were the stars that was carrying the team to where they are now, but without Durant Irving will not make this team a playoff team.
To be fair, Nets will not be playing well with him or without him. Sure they had a good stretch for a while, but Lakers did too, and nobody thinks they will win. Durant being the best scorer we have ever seen, doesn't mean that they are going to win. Look at last year and how they lost even with Durant on the floor, because one guy is not enough usually (well maybe except Lebron).

So all in all, Nets with him or without him will be a bad team, and he should relax and recover properly and not rush back into playing. If he rushes back to make it to playoffs and try to win, the likely chance would be them not winning anything anyway while Durant injuring himself a lot worse.

Yeah Lakers still suck, until they secure a playoff spot. I'm not sure if they'll probably miss the playoffs this year or they'll make it if they're being consistent. Nobody knows.

They are improving though, 40 games into the season. They are starting to look like a team right now. Their future this season really depends on two things: the health of their superstars and the acquisition of a reliable role player. They are on a winning streak with AD still on the sideline. They will be a lot better when he comes back. His dominance was interrupted by his injury.

I have no doubt that AD is a huge lack for the Lakers.
I even speculate that this type of player who is having this gap in LAL is a good quality PF or C.

A quality center will do good for the Lakers. AD will be able to go back to the PF position. He did mention before that he is more comfortable in that position than being the center. It will also lessen the opportunity of getting banged up in that position. There is not much noise lately on who the Lakers will get lately. Hopefully, they get it right.

So any update regarding the injury of Kevin Durant?

There is no update yet but I do hope it is not a major injury. They are currently on a roll and finally living up to the hype they get since KD and Kyrie teamed up together. No drama lately and just pure basketball. They are finally ready to play ball and this happened to KD. Hopefully, we see him play soon.

Oh, Clarkson. What are you doing?!
This is the second time he raised those fists of him. The first was against Kuminga and now against Desmond Bane and he ain't done even on his way out after ejection due to flagrant 2, acting like a thug in the court. I am a Filipino but I don't like these unsportsmanlike actions, you get mad when you are hit not when you are the one who hit. It's not fit for a physical sport. Also, he acts like he is guilty about the smack in the face of Bane.
If you didn't mean it, say you're sorry or just walk out to the bench. If they attack you then just push them back, don't raise your fist. I bet the NBA will make him fine for that gesture.
Here is the clip.

He's doing the Steph Curry "night-night" teasing the Grizzlies.
My bet builder for him and Markkanen was wasted because he was ejected and the Jazz lost the game.
They will meet again on February 16 at Grizzlies' home before the All-Star.

Nobody saw that coming for sure and I can't even notice where did the heat started which made JC raised his fist towards Desmond Bane. I agree, it was too unprofessional from his part to do that because he is not a first timer in this league, so he should know what to do in instances like these and not make the situation much bigger. Recently, JC has becoming more dramatic and suddenly resorts to a provoking actions, it's not good because the Jazz will suffer afterwards as they will be undermanned, hence why they lost against the Grizzlies after the altercation.

I'll be curious to watch the Kings vs Lakers game tonight.

James scored over 30 points once again, and his teammates (Bryant, Schroder, and Westbrook) also had good performances. As a result, the Lakers beat the Kings by only 2 points, and that's their 5th win in a row. However, the Lakers are still in 12th place in the standings, but this winning streak has clearly improved their position, as the win/loss difference between the 5th and 12th place in the Western Conference is small now.

Kings have no interior defense, they were even outrebounded by Bryant alone, I think Bryant showed th best game in the season so far. I didn't expect the outcome, I was expecting that the Kings will be very aggressive and will win at home against the Lakers who played a back to back game. And by the way, Lakers continued their winning streak, great job for this team.

Well, actually everyone contributed on that win, the guards are playing very well.

Schroder 27 points
Westbrook 23 points with 15 assists.

No answer from the Kings because they cannot spot the production of the Lakers and the Lakers are shooting a high percentage compared to the Kings. It's very evident that there's less defense on this game because the total score is too high, total score combined 270 points.

That was quite impressive from the Lakers, their stats are much higher compared to their last few games and the Kings haven't anticipated that they will be having a good night as they are shooting impressively beyond the arc with less possessions that has been wasted that time. Schroder finally adjusted and awakened the Euroleague Schroder, while Thomas Bryant has becoming more and more reliable in the center which makes LeBron more free to do his thing.

It's the Grizzlies and trash-talking had always been a part of the game but raising a fist is for boxing, a different sport.
Kids are watching and he became a starter which means they are idolizing him now, time to change and be patient for there are young ones who are looking up to him.

Clarkson is ready to square up, he is really all the time, that's his trademark, LOL>.

Seriously, you are right because he should set a good example, maybe he was annoyed but he wasn't too smart to control his emotion, which is not good for his career and for his team. Look at Jokic, he is good in the regular season but once he is in the playoffs, the tactic of his opponent is to put a very tough defense on him to annoy him and probably make him lose his focus.

Sad to say, but that is true, they are Pro and they should keep that way, I understand that there are always emotions when playing, especially when you are aiming to win for your own pride.

But it won't help you as an individual, just like with your example, it can be used against you
if other players notice that you have that kind of emotions, they will simply use that to
keep annoying you to lose your focus.

No news as of now about his condition, it's still not determined whether Kevin Durant's collision with Jimmy Butler will pose a serious injury in his leg. Hopefully not that serious because the Nets will seriously be undermanned without his presence, I know Irving and Simmons has improved a lot and more synchronized but I'm sure they will be needing Durant at most times.

“Right knee, he’ll get evaluated tomorrow and then hopefully I’ll have some more info,” Nets coach Jacque Vaughn said. “Most likely it will include imaging, just to make sure we’re good.”

Yeah, that's becoming his trademark now, Lol, the inner Manny Pacquiao in him. But I do agree that it doesn't look good as he was idolized

He is really out of control with that foul though, maybe the emotions are really high that game because it's the homecourt of Memphis and lately Jazz has been in disarray with close lost as well. He will be suspended for sure, and again, gonna affect them in their next game.

Good thing is that there is no bench clearing from the Jazz, but it was an ugly lost for them.

As for the Durant injury, the team says that he will undergo MRI to know the extend and severity of his knee. Let's just hope that it just needed some rest to heal and not to go under operation.

Their last 3 games are not that easy to pull off but they still managed to do it and bring the team a W at the end of the day. But they haven't fought the best teams in the league yet and tomorrow they will be having a taste of that by playing against the Celtics.

Irving is not consistent though, so I don't trust him being the Alpha if Durant can't play for weeks because of that injury. So obviously it will be a big blow for them in the coming games and they could be the underdog. Unless Kyrie get his game going again day in day out.

The Brooklyn Nets still getting more wins than losses after they beat the Miami Heat and it was an all-lucky rebound from O'Neal after a missed three-point shot from Kyrie. Though the Miami heat still have more time to steal the show, they couldn't make it because of the tight defense from the Brooklyn Nets. also, Durant has taken some serious damage in this game and he is uncertain about their next game. Hoping that it won't get affected their incredible runs this year and it's really good if he can just take a rest before going to the playoffs because they need his full strength there.

Hopefully that damage won't seat him for long, but I see your point better to give him some rest and let Kyrie and the other players to
work and try winning more games before the All-Star break.

Nets run is amazing and they really establishing good relationship around, which for sure is the factor that allowing
them to keep winning games, stars and role players are doing the best adjustments to in between for a successful
run.
It's time for Ben Simmons to shine and the freshly returned T.J. Warren.
I don't think the damage Durant took was that heavy, perhaps some soreness in his knees or wherever in his foot. He will be evaluated more so let's wait for the results.
But this will probably put the Brooklyn Nets as an underdog again, it's good for the bettors that think they can survive a win even without KD. Spreads will be lower or the handicap on their side.

Jordan Clarkson is a really legit "KATIPUNERO" for challenging Desmond Bane and Jaren Jackson Jr. but we also know how Desmond Bane plays, he is full of trash talk just like Drillon "Dynasty" Brooks, and Ja "Almost" Morant, that is why the bird with the same feather flocks together, I think Desmond Bane have initially trash talked Jordan Clarkson in my opinion that Triggered his KATIPUNERO side, Well I am not siding with Jordan Clarkson and I am not siding with anyone, but I agree he shouldn't act like that I should have said if he is Filipino he should have good moral and right conduct but seeing him getting ready to brawl I should say the NBA should have fined him for doing such gesture,

In the absence of Anthony Davis, Thomas Bryant is being more utilized and so far looking good.

Established last game with 29 points and 14 rebounds, he is clearly improving in every game. That line of stats is not his usual before.

Hope that he will be able to continue that good performance as the Lakers badly really need a product like that from their role players.
With the absence of Davis, Thomas Bryant is the one who is being used as their starting center and he really improved when he is in the Lakers. In his past teams, he isn't given many minutes to play. Now he is showing what he is capable off.

The Lakers are now 5-0 this year which is a good sign. I just hope that this will continue with or without Davis. The bad thing though is that they are still at the bottom part of the standings, and we are halfway thru the regular season already. We might see them do like what the Celtics did last year where they are at the bottom before the all-star break and just right after it, they just went on a winning streak after winning streak until they reached the top spot. Can we see it on the Lakers this season? Cheesy

yeah, they still need to win more games in order for them to at least qualify in the play-in in case they will not make it to the top 6. Bryant is more on a defensive player, he was just lucky that Kings does not have a strong center, but if he will be able to play against a dominant center like Jokic, I think he will struggle.

Schroder is performing the way he should be. He is just back to his old self when he was offered a big contract in LA before. Hopefully, they retain him and offer him again a good contract after this season. And hopefully, he accepts it.

The Lakers are still lacking a role player, I think, that can push them to the playoffs. And their goal is not just entering playoffs, it is winning the chip. That is why they are paying premiums for AD, Westbrook, and Lebron. They have to make a move now or the only thing they will achieve is Lebron taking the scoring title.
In the last few games Schroder has been a key player for the Lakers, I would even dare to say that he is in one of his best phases.
Another important factor that I can say, is Schroder's consistency, he's been keeping a good rhythm for some time now, and scoring in most of the games he plays.

I have no doubt that AD is a huge lack for the Lakers.
I even speculate that this type of player who is having this gap in LAL is a good quality PF or C.

I believe, that situation of the Lakers being without quality PF or C, can be similar to the Cavs in previous seasons.
Cavaliers had several good players, unfortunately, Cavs at that time, it was the absence of a quality PF or C to help the team.

TT did a good job, but even so he was not that important player as AD is for the Lakers, another example is Kevin Love, he managed to play PF, but his defense was not very good, but in compensation his attack was good.

However, I disagree to what you said that the last call might not be a foul? Bro, that was a blocking foul as Fox push Schroeder away from the basket using his body. Well, clearly you were not actually watching the game, I guess you've only had the glimpsed of the last second replay to say that the Lakers got away with the L. The refs favoured the Kings the whole game, that 3 pt continuation play from Westbrook could've ended the game already.

I haven't watched the full match aswell but as you have said, it was clearly a foul and the Lakers have to get away from it and won the game, for me, the Lakers are doing great right now but wrong calls from the referee will surely matter with the games and can surely affect the whole outcome but it is really part of what is happening the Sacramento Kings can surely file a petition about this but it will be a long and excruciating process so no ones is filing anything,
