James Harden trade destinations: Clippers lead the pack, but Knicks, Heat, Celtics and Bucks loom
https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/james-harden-trade-destinations-clippers-lead-the-pack-but-knicks-heat-celtics-and-bucks-loom/
Los Angeles Clippers
Miami Heat
New York Knicks
Boston Celtics
Milwaukee Bucks

Where do you think James Harden will land?
I am taking the New York Knicks out of the picture. They are already strong with Brunson around, they don't want to confuse things on the point guard position.
Boston Celtics too. I don't think they need more guards. Malcolm Brogdon did too much for them and I doubt they will trade him. He is one of their gem whenever Tatum and Brown takes their rest.
Milwaukee Bucks too. They have Jrue Holiday there and luxury tax will be pouring if they consider it.

I think the best spot for him is either LA Clippers or Miami Heat. If there's a betting line for this I'd pick the two but if only one choice will be provided I think Miami Heat will be his landing point. Remember, they are making ready to take Damian Lillard if ever the Trail Blazers will trade him, well Harden is not that far from Dame.

James Harden is the biggest name in the trading block now. The odds would favor the LA Clippers because it is the team that Harden personally wanted to play. Personally, I am losing some hope in Kawhi Leonard's condition to become healthy for a full season or the playoffs.

But I will not count out the other teams, even those teams that are not on the favorable list. Many teams are willing to make adjustments for Harden. I am also hoping Harden will consider playing with Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat.

I'd like to see Harden play with Butler and see how he's going to fit with the roster, because I also want to see the Heat compete in the Finals again. I guess Harden's addition to the team could bring more positive outcome than the other way around. I don't have any update with the Lillard trade that could also potentially land him with the Heat, but either of the 2 is a plus for the Heat. It would be crazy IF both Harden and Lillard go to Miami lol but I doubt it wouldn't happen as the Heat may not have enough pieces to make a trade and try to acquire both superstars.
So, again either Lillard or Harden is a plus for the Heat.

The good thing is that it's not difficult to find players willing to play for the Warriors at a lower contract, as the team has a reputation for developing players through their strong program.
You make a valid point, as many role players who have played with the Warriors have shown significant improvement. The team's system is excellent, serving as a strong training ground for these players.

Consequently, their value tends to increase when their contracts expire and they choose not to re-sign with the Warriors. It remains crucial for the Warriors to retain their core group of players. The addition of CP3 is a major boost, assuming he remains free from injuries.

Exactly, they can use Warriors as a good training ground and once they already adopt the system,

They choose not to re-sign the contract and take a much better offer, I think it's a practical way if you want to boost your
career, with a warrior tag under your name and if you are lucky to be part of a champion team it will surely give you
the chance to make good amount of money.

The Warriors know now significant Green is to the team, and that's why it was reported that they will do everything in their power to bring him back. So it's really up to Draymond if he wanted to be a Warrior until he retires, or chooses to go with Lebron and the Lakers (as this is the rumor).
They also lost Lamb at at Ty Jerome as they will not sign these two role players. So it's going to be a complete overhaul for the Warriors next season specially if Green is no longer around. So it's going to be interesting once the free agency officially opens.
I really hope they make sure not to lose Draymond. It's a significant salary that the Warriors will have to allocate, considering that four players, namely Curry, Thompson, CP3, and Green, are high-paid players. If they haven't exceeded the salary cap, then it might be manageable. However, they may need to sacrifice some of their role players.
The good thing is that it's not difficult to find players willing to play for the Warriors at a lower contract, as the team has a reputation for developing players through their strong program.
It's kind of easy putting ayers around talent lime steph and klay.  Rookies and role players basically are unguarded the entire game as other teams have to double the splash brothers.  I get your point though with players like that it's easy to find players willing to play for the minimum knowing they will be on a winning team.

I also agree. Because it is not absolutely unusual for players to join teams that have really great players. Even when they are not going to get paid as well as they might want. But that is a trade-off that the players should understand. They are just basically trading money for a winning team or a little worse team for Money. So, I don’t think it is going to be a big problem for them to find players who would want to join the team for a little less salary.

Green has become really important for the Warriors. I absolutely agree that it is going to be a bad move for them if they actually lose him. They will have to make sure that he stays in the team and also they will have to make sure that they make all the plans by keeping him in the team.

Did Green already have his demand and play with the Warriors again? I just want to know because the last time I've read about his status, he's still in the free agency. Although I'm still positive that he will be back with the Warriors sometime during the summer as the Warriors will definitely need his IQ especially in the defense plus they now have CP3 that will help them have a window. And of course, there's Looney who has been playing much impressive last season.

As far as I know, Green is still a free agent, and there is no new information about which team he will play for next season. There have been rumors earlier that he would prefer to stay with the Warriors and that the Warriors' management wants him back on the team as well. The problem is that Green wants a new $100 million contract, and I guess that could be the reason why Green and the Warriors can't come to terms with each other.
By the way, there was also a rumor that Green and his agent are very open to meeting with other teams.
If the Warriors decide not to pursue him, I'm confident Green is not worried about his future, as there are other teams who are interested in him. It's no surprise that many teams would be interested in a player who has played a crucial role in bringing multiple championships to the Warriors franchise. Perhaps the Warriors will realize the significance of Green as a key piece to their success once they face struggles again in the upcoming season.

It's been a few days since I've been analyzing the negotiations/trades that are happening with several NBA teams, especially the last draft.

Wemby is one of the most commented and discussed player nowdays.
I even believe there is a hype.

I clearly remember the Holmgren's injury at the beginning of the last season

Chet Holmgren and Victor Wembanyama are similar players, they are tall, they have good ball handling, they can shoot, they are fast players and they are also skinny and maybe even fragile compared to other NBA players.

Something that worries me is Wemby's body.
Guys, do you believe, Wemby could get injured soon because of his skinny body size?

Nowadays injuries are quite common in the NBA especially during a rookie's season. The question is who will dominant this season and who won't get injuries?
Also there is a significant ongoing debate about who will claim the title of Rookie of the Year (ROTY) considering that Chet Holmgren will also be entering his first NBA season!

I'll pick Chet Holmgren. How about you guys?

Aside from Chet and Wemby, there are others as well that can be the ROTY and that is very possible because their build aren't as fragile as the aforementioned players and they can be agile just like what Banchero did in the last season. But who knows who will claim that title, but if we will choose from Chet or Wemby, I'll be with the latter.
What happen to Chet was really a freak accident, he was still running after that rebound and never thought that it will be a season ending for him during that exhibition match. Unfortunately, what really happens is really unusual for him.

Hopefully Chet is 100% fine and has recovered already. So it will be a great matchup for the ROTY next season as Chet is eligible to be a candidate as he was not able to play last season.

So it's hard to see what will happen to Wemby, but the same case, we can only hope that he can play so that we can appreciate how good this young kid is and not just hype.

Irving may be the player I am most curious about which team he will go to right now. Many say the Dallas Maverics are favorites and will play for this team. However, according to the latest reports, Phoenix Suns is also interested in Irving and a meeting is expected between them today.
If he can sign with the Suns, we will see a very good team. One of the champion candidates of the next season may be the Phoenix Suns Smiley

The good thing about it is that there are lots of teams that are interested in getting him, and this is a good sign that he will stay in the league for a long time because whatever they say about the guy, he is still one of the great Point Guard in the NBA and also he won the championship because of it so there's no doubt about it. He can be a big help if he stayed in Dallas because they already lose Porzingis there and I think Luka really need him to get to the NBA playoffs if they can be useful playing together because right now, all they need to do is to be synchronized together and be the same when it comes to their mindsets on bringing back the Dallas to the NBA championships.
Dallas would be better off without Irving with this current roster in my opinion. I agree that Irving is one of the best point guards in the league right now and even with right players in his team, he would be one of the best in the league and their team would be the title contender. Suns would be good for him but I don't think a perfect place. I saw the news that it is also hard for Suns economically. It seems like Irving is stuck with Dallas. I don't think it is working for both of them. For the Mavs, of course the key is Doncic. If he is indeed in good shape now, things can change. But he definitely needs a right team to achieve his true potential. Also definitely have to be in a better shape.
Let's give him one more season. He joined the Dallas team towards the end of the season, and despite having some great games leading the team, it was evident that there were chemistry issues between him and Luka, which resulted in many losses when they played together.

However, during this offseason, I'm confident they are working to resolve those issues.

So let's wait and see the outcome of the next season. If the problem persists, then it indicates that he truly doesn't fit with the Dallas Mavericks.

I will just base on history with regards to 7 foot players in the NBA.

There are many 7 footers that played in the NBA, and not all of them have a long NBA career. Which 7 footer has the longest NBA career? If you know Zydraunas Ilgauskas of the Cavaliers. The old teammate of Lebron. He has the longest NBA career as a 7 footer with 13 seasons. Most of them had short NBA careers, and the main reason is injuries.

Now I'm not saying that Wemby, and Chet will have a short season, but I expect them to be injury prone especially Wemby if his body will stay like that. It's good that Holmgren at least gained weight, and his body frame is better now compare to what it was when he got drafted. For sure it will be the same for Wemby, or else he might be an injury prone player. We know how the pace of the NBA is. It's always very fast.

Wembanyama has been hyped by the media for months already, so I hope that he will reach the expectation of the NBA Fans especially those Spurs fans who have been very happy to get the number 1 pick in this year's draft.

Let's hope he will last. Actually, you forgot to mention Yao Ming, who played 9 seasons with the Houston Rockets but retired at the age of 30 due to injury problems. However, nowadays, medical advancements have made it easier for injuries to heal. What Wemby needs to work on is his conditioning, and I'm sure there are professionals who will take care of him to help him achieve his goals. So let's relax and allow him to enjoy his NBA career.

Regardless, let's just expect that there will some changes while they are approaching towards the new season. And as long as coach Kerr is in the Warriors, that is already enough to know that there's a good reason behind the CP3 trade and they will not take chances anymore as their original line-up is now aging because sooner or later, they will need to rebuild the whole team if the players are not producing the expectations or at least the goals anymore.
Definitely, adjustments are going to be made. Besides, they can't label it as a failure already. When the Warriors had a younger Curry, Thompson, and Green, they had already won multiple championships. Now, with an older CP3 joining them, they certainly know how to utilize CP3's talent. I'm confident that the Warriors' management sees the value in CP3, as evidenced by their decision to trade him for Poole.

Maybe seeing Paul and Steph starting at the same time.
There is a possibility that this approach would help Curry conserve his energy, as they would already have a facilitator, while he and Thompson focus on finding open shots. It would result in a smaller lineup, but adjustments can always be made.

It's quite evident already that the Golden State Warriors aren't looking to change their line-up to keep up with the giant players nowadays that can literally protect the rim and paint, instead, they are giving more focus in what they have and the strengths where they are famous for, small ball.

Now that CP3 is on the Warriors, I think so too that he will be in the starting line-up but that won't be long as they cannot afford to lose CP3 via injury and will just let him rest in-between or where the Warriors needed him the most.

Yeah, this is also what I'm seeing Kerr doing in the next season, they are going small and obviously giving up height against team that has great center. But they still have Green and Kevon Looney.

And they are used to small ball, there are games that you won't see Looney down the stretch, it was Draymond who play center position. And then we have Klay and Steph and then Poole for them. So same lineup, except that CP3 will be their point guard and then Steph focusing on his shooting as well as Klay. So nothing has chance in their style of play despite losing Poole.
They have been successful using a small ball lineup, but they need to ensure that Curry and Thompson are consistently performing well in every game. Their previous issue was poor shooting and being outrebounded simultaneously, which could prove detrimental if it happens again. While they may sacrifice rebounding to some extent, they must prioritize shooting accuracy, particularly in three-pointers.

That's the recipe.

They have been playing small ball when they won their ring without KD and Curry coming back from injury and same with Thompson. So the recipe is already there, it's that last year it was obvious a very different team as there are a lot of drama even before the start of the season.

And that's the reason why they let go of a toxic Jordan Poole, and then they can continue with their small lineup with Chris Paul.

So this might be effective for them if Paul blended naturally and no more drama.

^^ Yeah I read that he shows intention of leaving Sixers as he doesn't want to stay long term with the team.

And it's interesting teams that wanted Harden though, for me he will be a fit for the New York Knicks? Him and Brunson could be unstoppable back court and then they have Randle forming their own big 3.

But not sure what the cost for the Knicks just to land James Harden, might be some players and future picks for sure.
