Mitchell Marsh and Warner started very well and suddenly Mitchell Marsh got out. We all kept Mitchell Marsh's previous game, he batted brilliantly. We have seen David Warner play that great batting well against Netherlands if David Warner can keep the wicket he will score a century today. In the end, it will be seen how many runs Australia can target to the Netherlands.

Warner had just one good innings before this match (163 vs Pakistan). But so far he looked good. He is batting on 77 from just 58 balls, and Marnus Labuschagne has now joined him. Looks like Australia will end up with somewhere around 350-380. Netherlands doesn't have a chance when they lose the toss and are asked to bowl first. And so far the match has followed the same trend. At the most, the Dutch can hope for a decent total while batting second. Even that is going to be difficult against Starc, Cummins and Hazlewood.

If Tamim Iqbal was in the World Cup team, maybe Bangladesh would have got a good batsman in the opening position. Who would you consider for the remaining ten positions? A player can never change an entire match. In every match that Bangladesh has played in the World Cup so far after Afghanistan, we have noticed a clear batting weakness for Bangladesh. It is never possible to do well in a tournament like the World Cup with such a weak batting lineup.
Mahmudullah Riyad may be trying to salvage some respect for Bangladesh at the end. There is still a gap of many runs in front of Bangladesh, I don't know how much Mahmudullah Riyad can reduce this gap.

I don't think Bangladesh's performance would have improved even if Tamim Iqbal was in the squad. The performance of every batsmen of Bangladesh is erratic. And Tamim Iqbal's performance is not regular either. Tamim is a good batsman, he is experienced enough. But in the past World Cups too, we have not seen any performance better than Tamim.

Bangladesh's batting lineup is very weak. I have seen good performances from their bowlers before the World Cup. But they are not doing well on batting friendly pitches in the World Cup. Hasan Mahmud is an excellent bowler. He gave a lot of runs today. Mustafiz is a talented and experienced bowler but his bowling is very predictable. There is no such variation. Bangladesh needs an experienced bowling coach right now.
There is considerable value in experience but there is no guarantee that Bangladesh would have done well in all the matches if Tamim had been in the playing XI. Tamim played in the opening position in the last World Cup but he did not do well there. ODI cricket is a tournament where individual performance is not enough to win the team, team performance is very important. Many people are criticizing Tamim Iqbal for his omission from XI, but if Tamim was in XI and he scored a century alone, but no one else could support Tamim Iqbal, then Bangladesh will never win. Tamim is not in the team and we have to look at the bad performance of the team instead of finding fault.
Bangladesh cricket board is full of politics and  it is never possible to expect anything good. Mahmudullah Riyad proved that the humiliated can always do good. He showed everyone with his century and good performance yesterday that experienced batsmen are always experienced. Of course we miss Tamim Iqbal here Tamim Iqbal would have made a better position if he was in this World Cup. Why should we gloss over Tamim Iqbal's scheming omission, he was needed in this team. The Bangladesh Cricket Board is getting a befitting response to Tamim's exclusion. No one can ever fill the void of Tamim Iqbal. He will be missed by all throughout his life.

Australia won the toss against Netherlands and elected to bat first. Australia opted to bat first and scored 51 runs after eight overs with the loss of one wicket.
Australia now played 10 overs and made 66 runs in 10 overs with the lost of one wicket. Steven Smith and David Warner are on the pitch. Mitchell Marsh managed to make 9 runs on 15 balls. Logan van Beek got one wicket. Both players now playing with the partnership of 39 runs. According to the live forcast Australia can make almost 291 runs. But I think Australia can go above 300 runs easily which will be a good target for Netherlands and difficult to chase.
The prediction that TV channels make is the prediction but they change it multiple times. When a team is playing well then the prediction will be in their favor but when the opposite team is doing slightly better then the prediction will go in their favor again their prediction is changing every moment. Australia have lost just one wicket in the first 10 overs and they have scored around 6 plus runs per over, which should surely take their tally to 300 plus. If David Warner can settle on the wicket then we could see a big partnership with Steven Smith.

In this match against Netherlands, Australia is definitely the favorite if there is no accident in the match then Australia will win this match.  Even if Australia wins this match, we expect a good cricket match from the Netherlands side.

Australia won the toss and decided to bat first. Australia currently scored is 65 runs in loss of 1 wickets in 9.4 overs. David Warner is playing at 21 runs unbeaten in 19 balls ans Steve Smith is also playing at 34 runs beautiful batting in 25 balls only.   think Australia eye a big win against Netherlands and improve their Net run rate in point tables. Logan van Beek is bowling well picked 1 wickets by giving 24 runs in 4 overs. Van Beek draws the first wicket for Netherlands. Mitchell Marsh departs for just 9 runs. Its very difficult for Netherlands to Restricted Australia under 300. If Netherlands didn't picked early wickets then Australia will set a big target on borad.

Australia team lost a wicket in the powerplay today and the team is under a lot of pressure. Because Netherlands team is very strong in terms of bowling but not in good performance in terms of batting. So the patience of Australian team players is very low and Australia, the fourth ranked team in the points table, has won only two matches. If the batting performance is good today, there is a chance to win, because to win with the Netherlands team, they must protect the wicket and stay on the field till the end. If the pair of Warner and Steven Smith can last for long, it will definitely be possible for the Australian team to achieve a good score of one run.

The Kiwis are also an unlucky team in the WC, so they deserve a spot in the finals due to their form. Would be heartbreaking for all 3 teams if Australia or someone else sneak in and claim the trophy.

LOL.. I have a feeling that in the end Australia is going to lift the trophy. India and South Africa both have a reputation of failing during the knockout phases. From what I have seen so far, Australia had a very poor start to their campaign. They suffered heavy defeats to India and South Africa, but then came back strongly with a massive win against Sri Lanka. And they followed it with a good thrashing given to Pakistan. They are getting better with each passing match and should be battle-ready by the time they play in semi-finals.
If the final is between Australia and New Zealand then surely the former will walk over the Kiwis as these guys are bunnies of Australia, they always manage to surrender in front of Aussie.

Pakistan losing to Afghanistan actually opened the qualification process. If we have 2-3 more such kind of results then things could become interesting and if the table topper misfired in 1-2 matches then voila!

That depends on whether they can continue what they started as in the performance while playing against Pakistan. Today they should be able to win without much effort, wherein it has to be a big one if they want to work on their net run rate. They have a negative run rate whereas all other teams above them have a positive run rate. I do not think they would sneak into the finals and win the title this year. I have a feeling that either it would be the New Zealand team or the South African team that might pick up the trophy. India is a favorite but as you said correctly they lack the ability to play ICC tournament which might hinder them from winning the title.

^^ I think South Africa, New Zealand and India deserve to win the WC in this edition due to their all round performance.

2 chokers playing finals in the Motera would be fun to watch lol. South Africa is strong when they bat first and put up a mammoth total every single time. India's bowling unit is in dream form and so far they have restricted every opponent below 300, they are also incredibly good at chasing.

With this win, south Africa moved up to the 2nd spot and New Zealand to the 3rd spot although both the teams have lose one matches each.

So far India is the only team that has won all the matches. Their remaining matches are against England, Sri Lanka, South Africa and Netherlands. And out of all these matches, two are going to be very tough - those against England and South Africa (doesn't mean that they should take Netherlands lightly). But in all probability, even if they lose one match they are likely to end up at the no.1 position.

I am specially exicited about India's match against South Africa. Hopefully, SA performs well in that match and gives huge score if they bat first, and see how India responds to it

Quote
My only concern is that India has a rather poor track record in the knockout phases of major ICC tournaments.

So is SA.

Pakistan has more potential and always have dominance, but yesterday they lose for a first which completely broke us and every player of our team. But still we believe that we can, and I am sure we will.

The fact is that no improvement can be expected from them now.Our captain doesn't seem to have any strategy. We put all our focus on our batting in this World Cup.If the batsmen perform well and bat well, then we are in a position to win. There is no hope of winning the match by bowling. Our fielding and bowling performance has been very poor. In all the matches Pakistan has played so far in the World Cup, our bowlers have not performed well in any match.

You can judge the body language of our players by the fact that they are smiling even when they are not scoring runs, and smiling even when the opposition team is constantly scoring them.At no point will you see them in a competitive mood.Babar Azam's captaincy has been very poor.He doesn't know where to place his fielding, runs are scored so easily by the opposing team that one does not know where he has placed the fielding. However, they are not expected to perform well now, nor can they be trusted.

Today is the match between the Netherlands and Australia. The team of Netherlands are confident because they won their second last match against South Africa, South Africa is a big team and South Africa achieved a very good position in the point table and they beat them so that’s why they are confident.

The Australian team is also very confident because they are in the top four when Australia lost their first two matches everyone thought that Australia out of this World Cup but they did come back, and if the Netherlands wins this match so this is the first time that the Netherlands won two matches in a single tournament.  Wink

South African team has set their attitude and play more aggressive especially in early overs because they know if they properly utilize power play and get handsome runs then definitely it will execute pressure on opponent, and thus they will set their rhythm to move towards a high target, and they were consistently following their same tactics and gets more and more success.

Early overs? SA makes their most runs in last 10 overs, they could be having 220-50 runs by start of 40th over, and by 50th over you'd see target close to 400 Grin
South Africa last 10 overs runs
41th over 10 runs
42th over 13 runs
43th over 22 runs
44th over 17 runs
45th over 9 runs
46th over 8 runs
47th over 20 runs
48th over 12 runs
49th over 19 runs
50th over 14 runs

South Africa scored 144 runs in the last 10 overs with Bangladesh. But after 40 minutes in Bangladesh's innings, the overall situation of the pitch became a bowling pitch.

The match at Wankhede was a mere display of high class batting performance by south Africa, Quinton de Kock in particular. He scored 174 runs in only 140 balls and it damaged the Bangladesh team. This was not the end as latter Heinrich Klaasen also made 90 runs in only 49 balls. Scoring 382 runs by losing only 5 wickets, shows some great batting skills by the South Africa team.

In response, Mahmudullah did score 111 runs in 111 balls but this was never going to be enough when you have to chase the target close to 400 runs and no one else from your team had a good batting click on that day.

With this win, south Africa moved up to the 2nd spot and New Zealand to the 3rd spot although both the teams have lose one matches each.

19 sixes were hit by South Africa in their 382/5 with De Kock scoring 174. South Africa didn't stop their ruthless aggression against Bangladesh as they defeated Bangladesh by 149 runs in a one-sided affair. The only positive for Bangladesh was their senior pro Mahmudullah scoring a memorable century giving Bangladeshi fans something to smile. Mahmudullah was included at the very last moment in the squad before the World Cup. The overall Bangladesh campaign had been a sorrow affair till now  which was expected after a lot of controversial drama between Ex Captain Tamim Iqbal vs Shakib ul Hasan just before the world cup.

Bangladesh bowling just broke down during the last 10 overs. The bowlers were wayward and the fielders were not backing them up. And then the captain looked completely clueless. Ideally they should have restricted South Africa for a maximum of 320, but in the end leaked far more than that. If not for Mahmudullah, they would have suffered a record defeat. At one point they were 159/8, but then Mahmudullah with help from Mustafizur Rahman and Shoriful Islam took them to a decent total of 233 all out.
South Africa had won their previous match against England by a huge margin of 229 runs. If Mustafizur Rahman and Shariful Islam did not support Mahmudullah Riyad, then Bangladesh would have recorded the highest number of runs lost in the World Cup. However, I give Mahmudullah a lot of respect because without him yesterday, Bangladesh's innings record would have been a shameful loss.

We Bengalis are shameless.  I know Bangladesh will never win the World Cup.  Then at the end of every match I say that I will not watch the game, even before the start of the match I sit down to watch the game like a fool and again predict that Bangladesh will win.  Which at the end of the day is the cause of our own upset for ourselves. That is our love that's the reason we are shameless.

Bangladesh team played well today. Not bangladesh team played well the player Mahmudullah Riyad played a great innings. He have done 111 in 110 ball. Boss you have played great. Thank for giving a great innning.

I lost my speech what to say. Bangladesh is emotion but the they did not play well that make me always upset. But what to do we are shameless. Let's wait for next world cup.
It is doubtful whether the current state of Bangladesh cricket can survive the next World Cup. Bangladesh cricket team will be able to improve from the day when politics is free. Bangladesh cricket team is in this condition today as a result of devaluing the players of Bangladesh cricket team. Brother your words are not bad, they come from heart because we love the country and always support the country. Our problem is that we love our country selflessly. After watching the game at the beginning of the match yesterday, I thought that Bangladesh might be able to stop South Africa within 25 runs today. But instead it has been the opposite. It made me feel so bad that I couldn't express it. I have lost faith in Bangladesh cricket team and I will never dream anything good about Bangladesh cricket again. Because Bangladesh cricket team can never give us good dreams.
