Sanju Samson and Axer Patel were given chance today but they were not able to play a big innings today. West indies are going fine with chase so far and they must not panic to chase this small target.

Not having that much expectation that India would win again in a low scoring match, West Indies does tend to struggle against Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja but if they are able to overcome that shortcoming by going full defensive on them and then take the attack the rest of the bowlers, they could win the match as they only need 182 runs to win the match in 50 overs.

But after the dismissal of the two openers, no other Indian batsman could stay at the crease for long. Gudakesh Motie and Romario Shepherd bowled well today. Both managed to pick up three wickets each. If the West Indies' top order gets off to a good start, they will win.

I am very surprised to see batsmen of India batting. I don't expect such bad batting from experienced Indian players. India lost 8 wickets in 37.2 overs. And collected only 167 runs. India's two openers batted well. Ishan Kishan collected 55 runs and Shubman Gill collected 34 runs. But no other Indian batsman can bat well. India will probably lose all their wickets before 180 runs.
The pitch is bowling friendly. Even if India set a target of less than 200, it is not certain that West Indies will win. Because no West Indies batsman's performance is regular.

The latter part is out of the question atm as both have great numbers in ODI and probably ODI is their best format, for Virat is 100% true.

The only reason for their exclusion is to give other guys to have a crack and get a bit more exposure. We'll notice this trend in the T-20 series as well.

Well if this is the case, then the series may do harm instead of good. Winning easy matches will make them feel a lot more comfortable. Ideally, a team needs to work on their weakness before the start of the world cup but here in this series, you will not get to know about your weakness or strengths.

The same thing is happening with Pakistan at the moment where they are getting some easy matches to play and win against srilanka. Perhaps both teams will get better matches to play at the Asia Cup.

It's not actually BCCI's problem but team management (Coach and Skipper only) minus selectors.

BCCI did their job by scheduling this series before the ODI WC so that team can have some game time but Windies cricketing setup messed up big time with their performance in WC qualifiers and so far doing the same in bilateral. Selectors also did an okay job by resting some players (Bowlers) and sending new kids with the squad.

This series is a training session for the entire team in preparation for the World Cup and hence they can experiment as much as they want and the total they need to chase was not that huge either. So everyone does get the opportunity and build their confidence moving forward and perform so that they can book a place in the team for the World Cup, if not there is a strong bench of players that would happily replace them.
