So, let me understand, Ali is not working for Bittech anymore?

As far as I know Ali is still the front-man for Bit-Tech

Thanks for all the info but you could have post it earlier to help here.

Yes, I could have posted the information here earlier however I wanted to give Ali an opportunity to correct the situation. I do not take airing dirty laundry lightly so my hesitation in posting. It is apparent that he will not at this time. Hence the post.

I am the guy that purchased 26 units from Ali aka Bit-tech. A link to the original post: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.6331451

The following is a transcript of the last conversation I had with him on Skype:

[6/5/2014 2:06:25 AM] Ali@Bittech.hk: hi
[6/5/2014 2:07:15 AM] Joe: Yo what's up
[6/5/2014 2:07:22 AM] Ali@Bittech.hk: Not much
[6/5/2014 2:07:27 AM] Ali@Bittech.hk: how about you
[6/5/2014 2:08:02 AM] Joe: Lol not much here either just working
[6/5/2014 2:08:19 AM] Ali@Bittech.hk: sounds good
[6/5/2014 2:08:26 AM] Ali@Bittech.hk: what about miners stopped interest?
[6/5/2014 2:08:53 AM] Joe: Nah I have interest ...
[6/5/2014 2:09:03 AM] Ali@Bittech.hk: Okay cause have cheap IC prices now
[6/5/2014 2:09:08 AM] Ali@Bittech.hk: to manufacture
[6/5/2014 2:09:18 AM] Ali@Bittech.hk: can build and ship a machine for 1400
[6/5/2014 2:10:19 AM] Joe: No offense bro but you aren't building and shipping anything you are selling used equipment
[6/5/2014 2:10:37 AM] Ali@Bittech.hk: Sure when i stock up i use them
[6/5/2014 2:10:51 AM] Ali@Bittech.hk: we do build
[6/5/2014 2:11:01 AM] Ali@Bittech.hk: pcb,assembly,components,ic
[6/5/2014 2:11:49 AM] Joe: The compensation unit you sent me had 3 cups of dirt in it, only had 3 blades, and was put together with wood screws
[6/5/2014 2:13:10 AM] Joe: I really don't see how you think you can stay in business ...
[6/5/2014 2:14:07 AM] Joe: The replacement blades you sent me had missing caps and don't hash
[6/5/2014 2:15:15 AM] Joe: You continued to mine for 10 days after I ordered before shipping the units out
[6/5/2014 2:16:29 AM] Joe: I can buy a brand new unit from lketc.com and it will arrive 2 days later for $1280 plus shipping
[6/5/2014 2:17:00 AM] Joe: You get my points?
[6/5/2014 2:19:21 AM] Joe: No comment huh
[6/5/2014 2:20:57 AM] Joe: That's why I didn't bother contacting you .... Unless someone is buying you ain't talking
[6/5/2014 2:22:16 AM] Joe: I suppose I should share my experience on the forums .... Others may find the story .... Useful
[6/5/2014 2:27:52 AM] Joe: I guess you must have thought I lacked the intelligence to notice that you pawned off third rate used garbage on me for brand new prices and you would have another opportunity to unload more of the same on me
[6/5/2014 2:28:33 AM] Ali@Bittech.hk: This is what we do with all miners, we stock up with the production we do and mine with them
[6/5/2014 2:28:35 AM] Ali@Bittech.hk: we don't let them idle
[6/5/2014 2:29:27 AM] Ali@Bittech.hk: No if i ship you we would make new production , won't send you used.
[6/5/2014 2:29:35 AM] Joe: You claimed that my order had to be built that's why you couldn't do escrow an why it took you 10 days to ship ... Try again man
[6/5/2014 2:30:00 AM] Ali@Bittech.hk: No i never said it was going to be built , i said the next order would be built
[6/5/2014 2:30:07 AM] Joe: Dude you flat out lied to me
[6/5/2014 2:30:13 AM] Ali@Bittech.hk: the stuff you bought we had in stock
[6/5/2014 2:31:14 AM] Joe: I lost big on the order .... Would you be willing to let me return them for refund?
[6/5/2014 2:31:57 AM] Joe: I'll pay the shipping back just return the btc I sent you
[6/5/2014 2:32:21 AM] Joe: And I'll place a new order for new equipment
[6/5/2014 2:32:24 AM] Ali@Bittech.hk: we can pay back but same cost we are selling them now
[6/5/2014 2:32:31 AM] Ali@Bittech.hk: on todays btc price
[6/5/2014 2:34:21 AM] Joe: That would put me out even worse than I am now ... No thanks
[6/5/2014 2:34:46 AM] Ali@Bittech.hk: I can compensate on cheaper miners
[6/5/2014 2:35:38 AM] Joe: I have a lot of bad blades can I return for replacement
[6/5/2014 3:09:10 AM] Joe: I need replacement parts give me a return address

He failed to even respond to my request for replacement on the bad blades I have and I have not heard from him since. Most of the 26 units I have do hash but at ~850 GH/s average. All were heavily used and full of dirt/dust. The hash modules have components that just "fall off" IE caps and data connectors. I was sent an extra unit as "compensation" for low has rates on the 26 units I bought. The unit arrive literally full of dirt/dust, only had 3 blades in it and the cover was put on with some wood screws. There was a 4th module that was wrapped in bubble wrap and when opened had missing caps and will not hash. He also sent me a replacement power supply that was also heavily used, had no cables and wont power on. Along with the power supply he also sent me out 2 replacement blades early on after receiving the order. They don't hash either.

Please use this information or not as you all see fit.

David says Ali is handling it (as Ali apparently took payment on his personal address), Ali doesn't respond to emails, been several days.  Thinking more and more that the whole operation is just a scam.

I'm happy with mine doing 900GH/s at the pool, especially for the $1500 shipped price I paid.
At that price I might be tempted to "roll the dice" again, but certainly NOT for $1750+ shipping.

I have exactly the same problem like you !...
and i believe they dont expect return customers !...

Really glad it's not just me. I was a repeat customer Sad Asked if it was possible to pay a reasonable premium to receive a unit that does closer to 1THs, and the response I received was "we will select one our must stable machines" (Note: did not pay a premium, paid the same as everyone else)

 *sigh*

 Caveat Emptor I guess Sad

MMM EXTRA - THE RIGHT STEP TOWARDS THE GOAL
I'm sad to report that my latest delivery never achieves a hash-rate greater than 850GH/s at the pool, despite my best efforts at tuning and troubleshooting Sad

I was informed this is "normal" Sad

Needless to say, I'm unhappy with my latest delivery. Not sure how these cables got frayed like that between the time it left their facilities and was delivered to my doorstep.

I have exactly the same problem like you ! and the worst part is there is total of 4 module on the miners the first model is actually "dummy" module because the first module only connected power cable but no data connection module !

and the seller has no response to my email ! this is consider a hit and run sales !

and i believe they dont expect return customers !

so in this case do you think i wills still buy from them ?

Here is some example of poor quality and nonfunctional product !

Missing module OMG !!!!!

The cable is fried up ! and split into 2 and that why i cannot access to the miner UI

So there are total of 4 hash board end up only 3 is working because the top hash board is missing the data connection cable !

Sorry for your delays MW.  Hope you get status on your large order soon.

That said it's why I elected to go through OgNasty for his escrow service. He placed the order on my behalf, provided tracking # to me, and withheld funds from Bit-tech until he confirmed that I'd receive the miner.  Just my 2 cents on that.

Unrelated to this, I was able to get the miner to be consistently at 900 GH/s using Finlof's tweak guide.  Played around with the frequencies until I settled on "925" for each of the 4 asics. I'll continue to tweak until I get to 950 GH/s.

I take it that it is an improvement from the stock setup.  Can you post a link to Finlof's tweak guide?

Not sure what the stock setup was.  Couldn't login or Advance IP scan it, until I downloaded the Dragon Image and re-imaged the SD card on the Pi with it.  After re-imaging, I could login to the Dragon default ip 192.168.1.134.

Stock Dragon settings for this unit is set to 1000 frequency for each Asic.  Unfortunately, that's overkill for this 4 blade miner, which is really just 4 asic blades overclocked to get to mid 900's GH/s(if you can tweak it just right).  Getting the high speeds on the miner side is easy, it's reducing the errors and rejects so you get a decent hashrate poolside.

If you get your hands on the Bit-tech miner or a Dragon, this should help with changing the frequency of each blade, Finlof's guide:

Thank you.

At least you guys are getting your miners.  I asked for a tracking number (next day delivery MY ASS) and am getting the run-a-round.

Is there a tracking number for this order yet?  Wasn't it supposed to ship in 24 hours?

-Alex

----
Hi Alex,

This order is taking care by Ali, since he received your Bitcoins on his
personnal account and didn't dispatach it to the company account yet.

Regards,
David

----

And no response from Ali.  Frankly I don't give a fuck who at your company took my payment.  Deliver what I paid for!!!!!!!

Poor business practices at best, maybe even a scam.   We're talking 18.8BTC so if you guys think I am just going to forget you are NUTS.  We'll pull full dox and show up in China to collect.

Did you solder it?

Did that fix your low hash issue?
