Buboy Fernandez is the head coach. No surprise if Thurman beats Pacman. Well, at least they travelled to the US one month early. Hoping for Freddie to do the job. Buboy is nothing special.

Coaching staff are important but it does not solely rely on them to determine the success of this fight.
It should be coming from Manny as he is the one who will fight in the ring and this opponent is one of the biggest in name of boxing, so it needs more preparation on their side, also take not that this is a younger fighter than Manny.

With that said, I'd like to add some extra spice while watching it, and I will not hesitate to bet against Thurman, PACMAN all the way, regardless of the odds.

I just checked the odds and there is only 0.3 difference between Thurman and Pacman (1.75,2.05). Considering the fact that many of the experts consider Thurman as the overwhelming favorite, these odds are not very attractive if you bet in favor of Manny Pacquiao. In an ideal scenario, the odds for Pacman should be between 250 and 300 for every 100 offered. Anything less than 250 is not worth the risk, considering the exceptional form Thurman has been in recently.

Oddsmaker never makes mistakes, it's not about how the fighter is valued at the moment, they weigh what people think on this fight and also the money that is coming in for the line or odds given, if more money will be on Thurmans side, Manny's odds might grow to 250 or 300.
Yeah right on that mate, but I believe that ODDS  is not a basis to proclaim who will win the fight, and besides this turns favor for Manny’s fans around the globe so we can gain more profit on our bets since we are confident that Pacquiao will win this one right?
So it seems that we are just waiting for our Bags to fill in after the Fight lol 😂

It is surprising that betting odds on big sport sites are not in favor of Pacquiao. I initially though that he would be a favorite, even if his best years already gone. Maybe it will add an extra motivation for him to prove he still worth to bet on!

I was surprise in start but I realize his opponent is not an easy one, and that makes this fight more exciting, probably we will see some real fights here.

More on trashtalk, that's why Manny Pacquiao told before that, non-verbatim: "I really eager to knock him out, he makes me anger". I remember that when I watched some of our local news before.

Update to Manny Pacquiao:
Pacquiao already in LA for the training, as I heard on the local news last night, one of the coaches of Pacquiao said that Pacquiao is 80% ready to the fight.
And team Pacquiao now is on the Wild Card gym for training.
80%? Damn. I just hope he doesn't overtrain though, looks like he is taking this personally,  Grin. I guess with Roach around, he knows how to managed those 20% easily in the next coming weeks and come full battle in July.
Here you go, I found the news. https://news.abs-cbn.com/sports/06/16/19/boxing-pacquiao-arrives-in-la-for-camp
Quote
Fernandez believes Pacquiao is now 80 percent ready for his bout against the unbeaten Thurman, as the "Pacman" already sparred eight rounds before leaving for Los Angeles

As I remember (since I heard it on national TV news), coach Freddie Roach is really with him when they arrived in Los Angeles. 20% is too much for the next coming weeks  Grin, seems like he fully prepared in the fight on July 20 and ready to blow the MGM Grand Garden Arena  Grin.

I'll keep you guys updated about Manny Pacquiao once I got some local information about his fight  Wink.

I'm sure Thurman trash-talking and then Pacman being the underdog won't put a motivation not just for him but for the whole team to have a good plan and train Pacman to be 100% during the fight.

@Vishnu.Reang - GGG is too big for Manny as this stage, if they are going to fight, GGG needs to drain himself to 150-155 lbs which is a disadvantage for him. So it won't happen.
Good conditioning plan and more reviews from Thurman previous fight will help the team to figured out what particular fight plan to established during his practice, Manny have a lots of experiences so he will find a way to counter whatever Thurman will deliver to him.

Last week, one of my favorite boxers, Gennady “GGG” Golovkin warned Pacquiao against Thurman. Golovkin was hinting at the recent upset by Andy Ruiz Jr. (who KOed Anthony Joshua), and warns Manny not to take Thurman lightly. Apart from GGG, a number of boxers and sports analysts have linked the Ruiz vs Joshua fight with Pacquiao vs Thurman. According to them, there are a lot of similarities.

BTW... anyone interested in a GGG vs Pacquiao fight? Well... it may never happen... just a daydream....

He warned Pacquiao because Thurman is also good boxer. But then, we cannot underestimate Manny Pacman because he defeated almost some of young professional boxers in the world.
In the match between GGG and Manny, I guess it won't happen because Manny wants to have rematch in Mayweather. Let us all see it till they match again.

Manny Pacquioao is the underdog in this match and if ever an upset would happen as what analysts expect then it would be Pacman winning as he is the less favored to win the match. One thing that separates Manny from most of the boxers is that when he trains, he do it really hard, i mean 110 percent focus in order to bring fun come fight time.

Manny is not a cash cow of boxing anymore so big names now will not do what Dela Hoya, Margarito and Cotto did, drain to lose weight and then lose the fight. Kudos to Bob Arum.

Looking at Nitrogensports and checked the odds, it looks like the fighting pride of the Philippines Senator Manny Pacquiao is the underdog. The odds are +115 for Manny Pacquiao and -135 for Keith Thurman. If the fight will go until the last round, I think Senator Manny Pacquiao will win. Senator Manny Pacquiaos speed is something that Keith Thurman needs to overcome.
Agreed.Senator Manny Pacquiao has his own undefeated speed that will make his opponents lose in the game.Even if he will fight against a young and good boxer,i think he can still prove that his age is not a hindrance that he will still win from this battle.I salute Manny's focus and determination to win in the game not just for money but he has really good passion in boxing.
That is why Manny still like to fight against Thurman, because he will prove that he is still strongest boxer in all and the age is not basis to fight again. So we believe that Manny will win the fight on July.

Am not sure about this fight, wasn't Manny Pacquiao suppose to be a politician by now?

What's his motive trying to keep fighting, thought after the TMT fight I thought that should have been his last by he seems to want to keep boxing, I guess a beating will send him into retirement just hope it's not this fight.

I remember he said on an interview before that although he's already a politician, he will continue to box since this is his passion and profession and this is where he gets his money from. To the fact that we all know that some politicians are corrupt, this man really knows what he's doing and serve the people real time on his own money. I support him being a politician and a boxer because of this.
Correct this is the main reason why Pacman still fighting at his age and his busy life at politics, Many has already proved the whole world that he is one of the greatest boxer of his time nothing to prove anymore but the passion on boxing is hard to forget cannot be set aside easily, he is still fighting not because of money its because of its love for boxing and that at the same time for bringing honor and pride for his beloved country.

I like his intention to be a politician and maybe he is not corrupt but I don't see him fit as a senator, most of the senators are Lawyer, Manny has no good background in politics, and he just won because of his popularity. If time will come he'll leave this world, he will be remembered as one of the greatest boxer in the world, but not as a politician. Sometimes if you do a lot of things, you'll loss focus and hopefully they don't take lightly what Thurman can do in the ring, still for Manny in boxing, but not for senate. LOL.

Thurman is like Broner that does only trashtalk in press conference and that boosts Pacquiao to practice even more and in fact, there are some videos on youtube regarding the sparring session of Pacman and he is really angry with the arrogance of this boxer. He will beat this undefeated boxer on July 20. Pacquiao will once again give an undefeated boxer his first loss.

That's good so he can focus on training.

According to him in one of his interviews, he timing the fight schedule during the senate break, so that means more time for training and he'll be condition.
