Bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency and is the most popular, so the ups and downs of its price, often affect the cost of altcoins.
Is this some sort of frustration because of how Bitcoin value drastically fall in a span of like 10 or 11 months after the unprecedented ATH? People must start to understand the volatile nature of cryptocurrency, maybe because of the rapid gain of profit that gaves them interest to invest in crypto space, without realizing how fast it could possibly lost their invested fiat as well. Build a strong patience to yourself, and you'll be thankful in a year or two.
Of course, I think it's obvious that the price of all altcoins follows Bitcoin. Bitcoin determines the mood of the market and investors, its direction depends on its value. Therefore, if you want to participate in the ICO, study the Bitcoin chart for the last time.
Unfortunately we cannot do something about this, because in the reality we do not influence the market. It is manipulated by big whales, that are trying to push the market down to make people fear about their savings and to sell everything.
Yes, they want to buy back as many bitcoins as possible at a low price, these manipulations have continued since the beginning of 2018. It is for this reason that I do not invest in the ICO market, but sometimes I buy coins.
Even with a bad market, successful project tokens show growth. And if the project hardly collects the soft cap, then the price of their tokens can easily collapse. Many investors understand this and still invest at their own risk.

Yes, I do think that Bitcoin price affects the prices of the altcoins. But not to worry, I don’t think the investors become poor if they don’t sell their altcoins. It is just paper loss at this time.
There is always a close connection between cryptocurrencies. If you can't understand their contact, then you can try to understand ETH and tokens from ERC-20.
The trade war between China and the United States will have a negative impact on the global economy. And there is very little hope that the cryptocurrency market will become an asset shelter. It is still not sufficiently stable, secured and hedged. There are also no tools for safekeeping assets.
It is a clear risk only occurs if the entry on crypto. When appeared on crypto can control nicely then don't hope it will get results to match expectations. many investors are opting to go and not go in again on crypto than have to suffer losses from investments that they do. the risk of it becoming a major threat to investors in this time.

The relationship I see about bitcoin being connected to altcoins is that, many investors are using bitcoin as their payment currency in exchange of the investment to initial coin offerings, in this case, if bitcoin falls, it affects the altcoins also.
The fact that investors' portfolios have decreased, does not mean that they have become poorer, it is enough to wait for the next growth!
Investors will become poor when they will sell their coins in low market. If they have patience to hold their coins and wait for the market to rise again , they will not be poor anymore.
I dont agree of this not because of prices downfall the investors of bitcoin are become poor, how about the time they gain more profit from the time it is so good, investors are so wise if they notice that the price on the markets are low they lielow to avoid lossing abd they knew when to attack because lots of money are involve here so i dont believe they are getting poor because of this we as part of this business had are own strategies we may affected of this downfall but we will wait until it recovered...

Not only investors who fall into poverty, but also everyone involved in crypto, they have miners, market makers, exchanges, project teams, and almost everyone can't get any substantial income in 2018, even if it is Scammers, it’s hard to fool money in this bear market.
yes we can say that many of the crypto investors were thinking about to be very rich in 2018 but market move downwards and all investors loose their portfolio up to 80 to 90 % of the complete investment. Not only btc but also the alt coins goes down as i think when btc goes down than maximum alts follow the same path.
Usually those small scale investors are the one who were able to feel this down trend because whales are already selling their crypto and getting back their money. Usually whales do not hold crypto but instead they do trading this is why they always gain than losing their money. Small scale investors would definitely will going to hold because it is not good to trade for profit would not be feel since money invested is small and profit is small.
You can't say they fall poor as in cryptocurrency world you only lose when the coin or token you invested in is a scam or dead project and the third one is if you sell when market is in bad condition you've accept your loss and ready to move on,if not then you still holding your coins and token? Your profit will make a huge come back
Not all investor become poor because there is an investor who could still use the time to make a lot of profit especially for the investor who is bought bitcoin in the last 2017 ago and they don't hold too long the bitcoin and sold the bitcoin when it's on the highest price. As long as they know when the time to get out from the market, they will not get any lost, and they only get a profit. But they need to know to know when that time so they can safely leave the market.
