 margin 4.0.0 released  !!!

We are super happy to bring futures trading to the margin trading terminal!! We have started out with Kraken and Binance, but Deribit will follow soon and then we plan to integrate FTX.

It is also great to continue to build great partnerships with cryto exchanges. Equos, through their parent company Diginex, is the first crypto exchange to be listed on the Nasdaq! They have a trading competition starting tomorrow in which they are giving away 3-4 BTC - details below. We are also thrilled to include LATOKEN as one of our exchanges and to bring margin's bot to the LATOKEN community of traders.

That's the expected behaviour! Glad you like that we've added Probit

When I click Update in margin login window it forces me to land on the main page of the official site, login there and download new version. Is this expected or margin has to update itself after clicking? And pleased to learn about adding Probit. I have a few trades there and margin's bots are just in time. Cancelling multiple orders at once is also very handy, long expected feature.

OK that's even better, if it does put back an order each time one is executed then indeed that's what I want.

However the price of margin has jumped from 289$ to 499$, argh ! And I don't see any option for a monthly subscription either.

I believe you only need 1  strategy to do what you ask. Here I have a strategy setup with 4 levels, the buy levels are $60 apart, the percentage of eff profit is 1%
I have the program set to add profit to allocated funds.
When I hit start it puts 4 buys out. Then as the buy takes place a sell order is created. After the sell order is filled it adds the reciprocal buy order adding in the profit to the buy order and thus the sell order and around we go.

The bottom picture is not showing off, the outcome is indicative of properly run scale strategies. Mind you this is also a very good market.

I've looked at the scalebot video and I think it does what I want but I'd like a confirmation.

I trade BTC-EUR on Kraken. My goal is to profit from any move up or down, increasing either my BTC stash or EUR stash. At the moment all the orders are layered by hand, which is time consuming, and if there is a move while I'm sleeping or doing something, I can miss some trades. When BTC goes up, I sell at some interval, then when it goes down, I buy back, with about 1% profit. I also do the reverse, it BTC goes down, I buy, then sell when it goes up.

With one scalebot in sell mode and one in buy mode, I should be able to do the same, right ?

Is it possible to extend EmaCrossoverStrategy with higher long term EMA smooth interval? Now the maximum is set to 60, but I would like to set to about 200.

margin 3.2 released


The long awaited margin Python Strategy Editor is here!! This was a huge piece of work and we can't wait to see what you guys accomplish with it. You will be able to build your own bots and advanced orders and then share them or even sell them if they are awesome!

This release also contains our new Scalebot strategy. The bot takes advantage of the underlying volatility of the crypto markets and provides protection against exposure with stop loss. Take a look at the tutorial video here.

We provide a repository that contains a Strategy SDK and instructions on how to integrate it for your development using pip (https://github.com/MarginOpenSource/strategy-sdk). There is also the strategy template that can be forked or copied from https://github.com/MarginOpenSource/strategy-template, and a repository for strategies created by the margin team . If you want to use the popular ta-lib, we provide a wrapper and how to for getting it integrated with your python strategy in https://github.com/MarginOpenSource/talib-service
