Marketing strategies in digital age are very different from the past times. Today, influencer marketing is the most efficient and cost-effective marketing for increasing brand and product awareness, not a TV or web advertisement. You all might remember when Cristiano Ronaldo removed Coca Cola bottle in press conference and this action very negatively affected Coca Cola company.
Logan Paul's Prime is a good example too. Logan is a very famous influencer, he created Prime, promotes it himself and via other friend influencers and sells millions of bottles regularly. There is almost no kid that doesn't know drink Prime. Yes, that's the power of influencer marketing and the best way to promote a product is to invest in yourself to become an influencer.
With increasingly advanced technological developments, I think advertising marketing in this digital era is more efficient on social media compared to TV or radio. Because now many people don't spend their daily lives without being connected to the internet, even in my neighborhood there are lots of mothers who spend their daily time with activities and while playing with cellphones that are connected to an internet connection, now you can see many houses that have internet installed without any doubt, this proves that social media is busier than TV. Even though there are some people who don't have cell phones, I'm sure they can hear news or information, even the latest advertisements, from their friends or even from people they don't even know.
With as you said about the Coca Cola advertisement where the bottle slides, of course that is a loss for the company. It is growing rapidly with social media and the internet. So in my opinion marketing in the digital era is more efficient by relying on social media rather than TV and radio or others.
Listen, the shift to social media? It's not a trend, it's a takeover. TV is dead, man. That's for Boomers clinging to the past. The truth is, social media isn't just where everyone hangs out, it's the battlefield. Brands backing influencers? Not just a tactic, it's how you stay alive in this game. And here's the problem, the thing that should make you sit up and pay attention...
These metrics (likes, shares, engagement) they're the currency, but at the cost of realness, authenticity. We're not buying stuff, we ARE the stuff. The viewers, the data, the whole package. Influencers? They're not tastemakers, they're mouthpieces for whoever's paying. Cheaper than traditional advertising? Maybe. But what's it REALLY costing? Our focus, our sense of self...
This ain't a gentle evolution, folks, it's a damn takeover. Every time you hit that button, you're fueling this system. So, yeah, is it connection? Or is it just... noise? This perfectly engineered cycle designed to keep you locked in? The people running these platforms, the ones shaping what you see? They're winning. Question is, are YOU? This is the reality of the social media arena. Are you gonna play, or are you gonna get played?
No one watching TV now as a lot of people are in social media now. We can see that social media presence rise up that's why there are so many companies shift their advertisement to those social media platforms since they can see that they get a lot and real engagement from a lot of people around the world. We can see the real effect of social media ages that's the reason its important for certain companies to shift their marketing and take advantage on social media fame since they can get more people to interact and engage with their advertised products and services.
See a lot of companies now are hiring social media influencers to advertise their products and this is good actions since they could able to reach millions of people especially if this is been introduce by well known social media personalities. Also it cost less than TV or radio advertising so they can maximize their marketing funds to increase more their exposure.
