If you want to report useful threads that belong to someone else, at least you report threads that still get fewer merits because it also helps Source Merit to share its merit with those threads.
But if you share threads that have received a large number of merit indirectly you do not help report useful threads that get fewer merits.
Because most of the threads that have received a lot of, source merit have given it.
