A bit offtop but is there are any of bitcoin clients for mac? Is it possible to sign the message from Mac?
Yes, you can sign messages using the Mac version of Electrum or Bitcoin Core. However, please note, Bitcoin Core cannot sign messages using a Segwit address.

Yes. There are wallets that support Mac operating system that you can use to sign a message. But, I will recommend you to use electrum wallet. You can download it on your Mac computer. Do not use third party site to download it. Visit the official electrum wallet site for the download, you can easily download it from there and also check the signature. Use below link for the download.

Hey Newbies (& Jr Members)! I want to give you the opportunity to earn some merit by using your Bitcoin client (or whatever you use). There is a great guide linked below showing you how to sign a message. If you can sign a message from your Bitcoin address with your bitcointalk username, post it here and I will send you merit. Enjoy!

I have tried signing an address when I read this thread using another bitcoin wallet that doesn't have funds just for signing purpose but I haven't tried signing an address that I don't have the full control of it. Maybe i'll try to sign it too and see if it can be verified after it is signed. Hope so.

Nevertheless, you can play around with a wallet such as Electrum, and sign a message for learning purposes, even if you don’t have any funds on the address you sign from.

This is very true.  Signing a message doesn't require any money or special knowledge.  It takes about 2 minutes to download Electrum and select sign message from the menu.  I chose this task for newbies specifically to get them used to using Bitcoin software with their own private keys instead of online wallets, which I'm not sure you can even consider using Bitcoin.

I'm a bit surprised that more newbies aren't snatching up this easy merit.  This is a problem that's been getting worse on these forums for years now.  A majority of users here don't use Bitcoin, and are here to spam until they can get paid to spam.  I hope that this thread can get at least one user here to take custody of their private keys and start actually using Bitcoin as it was intended.

I signed my message on the Stake your Bitcoin address here from a non-custodial wallet with 0 balance in May 2018, and did so from the same address on an Electrum wallet in December 2019, only to encounter some issues I was not aware of, which were overcome. The point being, you can still play around with message signatures regardless, and it’s even worth while redoing so after some time, trying to use the same address and seing if it's still as simple as it was the first time round.

I reached full member and I haven't seen any signed my address since I don't have access to my wallet since the platform I use is non custodial and only the company have the private key but I can send bitcoin to other address. Newbies should also learn signing messages and verify that he/she is the owner of the address.

I did not see people make guides for newbies to verify wallets. I saved some topics when I learned to verify Electrum wallet. Newbies you sign bitcoin message in the thread are highly invited to read 2 topics.

Still wouldn't verify.  I'll give you one more try...
I hope it will work this time.
still goes nothing... it says address is invalid
May I ask where are you creating an address? I suggest to make use of Electrum. You can also sign a message there and test it out before you post here,...

Here is the step by step on Electrum
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/how-to-sign-a-message-990345

You could also test it out after signing, the verify button is right beside it.

Thanks for giving me one more try. I think something was wrong while creating the wallet. I have deleted it and downloaded another one. I hope it will work this time.

Wouldn't verify.
I did not click on verify before, I only signed the message. But now I have verified it, the wallet couldn't take a screen shot I would have now send the verified screen shot. I noticed the signature has now changed but now verified. I hope I still have chance or the reward.

Maybe you can use another wallet so you can verify it. Because I can verify it using Electrum.
