Since yesterday I'm mining at clevermining, and I have to say that this is the first coin switching pool with good returns.
The last 20 hours the reward is almost 40% higher than what I get with LTC alone.

I looked into that too, but again it is the VAT. Only 20% for us but that adds $700 on.

Out of curiosity I talked to the miner factory Insmart, they charge $3500,- for a single A2Mini including shipping.
The problem is the 21% VAT, I have no idea how to circumvent that. So the deal from MinerEU is still the best.
The price is mainly determined by the A2 chip, Innosilicon asks $180 a piece in large quantities.

I pay £0.127 (€0.16) per Kwh, plus they charge me £0.19 (€024) a day for infrastructure charges. We are also being ripped off, just not as much as you are  Roll Eyes

Well I worked out that one A2 Mini is using maximum 400w so for me that is around 10Kwh which in UK costs me about £1.21 a day  which is about €1.5. So a year £445 or €550. I do have a 3Kw solar PV system, so some of that power usage will actually be free - if it is not cloudy here anyway.

So electricity cost in The Netherlands is 1.5 times the cost in the UK. Our government is ripping us  Shocked

I switched from consumer energy to business energy.
Makes a difference of almost €400,- a year when mining with 2x A2Mini.
And the gas is a lot cheaper as well.

I worked out that A2 mini's is costing me somewhere in the region of £600 a year to run. For you to save 400 euros you you must be paying an absolute fortune in electric!

Yes, here in The Netherlands it is around €0,22 KW/h, mostly tax of course.

My calculation is not completely honest because I also have some servers running, but the largest part is from mining.

Now I have room to add some more miners, I still have some unused GAW Fury's laying around.
I bought these to empty my store credit at GAW.

When everything runs smoothly I will add a 3th A2Mini when the price comes down.

I'm guessing that whilst they wee "testing" them over the weekend that the faults became evident.

I am also nice in my emails, just waiting for a response......

I'm not implying you are not nice  Wink

Another option for the small heatsinks:

Very good experience with Ali express so far.

Ordered this cooling paste yesterday as well (and waiting for it):

These heat sinks looks the same as the ones from Zalman, this is probably where they get them from.

With the thermal paste I would be more careful, there is a lot of junk sold out there.
Arctic MX-2 is one of the best non electrically conductive pastes you can get, no silicone, so very easy removable as well.

I have no experience with AliBaba/AliExpress though. I know this company is founded by a Dutchman.
When you order something there, how long does it take on average before you have the stuff on your doorstep?

I wouldn't use that thermal paste if I were you unless you are very careful applying it. It is electrically conductive. I used Artic MX2 (about £10 for 30g), yes more expensive, but it is non-conductive.

Heatsinks look OK though.

I'm convinced though that better airflow across the units is the solution to the heat. Really need to check out reconfiguring the blade positions properly

I will take that into consideration thanks!

edit: I haven't taken them apart yet but I can at least put it between the conductive sheet and the heat sink, no risk of shorting anything there.

And now on the website we have:

"As of last week, manufacture has swithed factory and the new batch we received on Monday(9th June) had some issue with misplaced resistors ,  Manufacture  decided to callback this batch, the shipped items are called back and requires some modifications on the miner. we will start shipping around next Tuesday (17th June)

This only affect the batch on 9th June, and A2BOX is manufactured in a different factory therefore not affected. "

Still no email from MinerEU.....

My email was replied within ours explaining my A2MINI was not among the 'defective' ones.
But I am always very nice in my E-mails  Tongue

bobsag3 - What PSU did you fit? Did you put it in the case or is it external?

External. Using Corsair HX1050 with 2 CPU 8 pins for power

Mine has green LED's on both blades and it is still running.
Only thing I notice is that some of the voltage regulators are much warmer then the others. Must be bad heat transfer.
I will glue some of these small heat sinks for memory chips on top, just have to buy some.
