Someone with a good heart please come to my rescue on this:

I have spent a considerable amount of time trying to mine two separate coins to no avail using Simplemine OS.

I need help on the configuration strings and the exact MINER NAME to use among the list. I have set of Nvidia GTX 1080Ti and I couldnt get to use NeoScript Algo, XEVAN algo or yescryptR16 to mine.

What I need is the exact configuration strings and the miner name in order to mine using either of the three named algos.

This is what I have used that comes back with failed authorisation:

-a neoscrypt -o stratum+tcp://crypto.n-engine.com:4233 -u 16jkah7qWnbv3aNzNmkByeAfgqCWAxdvgf -p x
Which was used under "ccminer-skunk-krnlx".

Same thing with this also:
-a yescryptR16 -o stratum+tcp://crypto.n-engine.com:6233 -u YfgnNFdYetHUJ4gLCjLpadZWiieSa7tbAN -p c=YTN

It came back saying it doesnt recognise yescryptR16.

Your assistance will be appreciated.

for neoscrypt i use ccminer-tpruvot-v2.1 and it works fine using this in the smos miner config

   -a neoscrypt -o stratum+tcp://pool.unimining.net:4233 -u GKBNUSNSSKPwq2Khc2RwDypuMPudRSqjLp -p c=GBX,stats

I have an issue where rig shows as red meaning its offline however its working fine, any thoughts on this anyone? I would like my miner to show as online and working. Currently shows as offline (yet its working fine)

@Cuzzle.. I want to say a big thanks to you. The config string you suggested worked perfectly. Really appreciate your help.

Thank you for claymore 11, it's been running 24h and not issues. I'm getting 8% more than sgminer mining xmr on nanopool. Claymore 10.2 was a disaster kept freezing at least 2 times per day.

I also use ccminer-skunk-krnlx on unimining - no much difference in performance from ccminer-tpruvot-v2.1

try replacing the password with the coin you want to mine i.e. -p c=GBX etc

also use the dedicated ports where available to avoid issues

i think ROCm 1.6.3 Support Vega, but 1.6.0 kernel you are currently using in Production, ( I tried also ur beta but seems ur going away from ROCM)

https://github.com/RadeonOpenCompute/ROCK-Kernel-Driver/releases

and 2 days ago they released new Kernel Roc-1.7.0 which has better DKMS support

can we manually upgrade the kernel  ?

Any roadmap for making Vega image stable?
The OpelCL still doesnt support Vega UNDER LINUX despite the fact that drivers support it.
So we need to wait for kernel patch from amd team Smiley And amd is moving very slowly in linux....

What happens if we don't pay our fee?  How long do we have to send in money?
The SWAT comes to your home and send you to Guantanamo.
If you don't pay your fee, you will not have access to updates, admin panel, etc...
For now the dahsboard will be blocked and you wont be able to see status or change anything.
It is very simple - if you want to use my OS and dahsboard then just pay and everything will be ok Smiley
If the system is too expensive then i am not holding anyone. It is as simple as that Wink

boot up with less than 6 x GPUs and do the BIOS settings..

... after than insert the next 6 x GPUs

I have a tb250-btc pro motherboard that supports 12 cards and 12 1060s hooked up, but whenever I boot up I get scrolling PCIe Bus errors. The bios is set to mining mode - above 6g and SMOS supports 15 cards so theoretically there shouldn't be an issue. I know one guy here got the same board up and running with 12, but I can't seem to get over 6 without these issues. I've talked to the dev and he's working on it, but I want to ask if anyone has had and overcome this issue in the meantime.

Bootup with PCI-16x slot
Goto BIOS
Disable Sound
Power ON after power loss
On board graphics - Enabled, select IGFX
Mining Mode - Above 6G
Save reboot
plugin to onboard graphics

*** set all PCI speed to "Gen 2" if that helps

Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately this didn't help. We're still getting scrolling errors that say:

PCIe Bus Error: Severity=Corrected, type=Physical Layer, id=00db(Receiver ID)
    device [8086:aZee] error status/mask=00000001/00002000

  • receiver error (first)

Any ideas?

Disable aspm via bios and if that doesn't help smos dev must add some kernel boot options to /etc/default/grub

I have spend 6 hours of test with this mobo and 6 cards, tried both images - normal RX and z170image. None of the bios settings help to boot up with more than 1 gpu. I tried every possible combination and it's not booting. Problem is the kernel seems to not work fine with this Biostar, this guy here have the same observation - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_VoWV9ENa0&feature=youtu.be  so it's not just two of us. Can we have a version for this MB, please ?

reading your post again and I assume you are using the NVIDIA smOS image.... looks like you are not  Grin

I have the same board and all 12 x RX470s are working just fine

Since you have GTX-1060 you need this image, NOT the RX ones

https://simplemining.net/download/simpleminer-NV-v1103-kernel4.11.4-nvidia375.66-i915fw.imgc

setup your BIOS with 1 or 2 cards first and enable the Above 6G..., reboot and put in the rest of your cards, reboot ... you should be mining with all 12 cards

We finally got our rig running by adding pci=noaer to the boot options in grub. running stably with 12 cards now, no issues!

some guide how to do this ?

I posted a guide on Steemit a couple days ago. https://steemit.com/mining/@maebog/running-12x-gpu-on-the-biostar-tb250-btc-pro-with-simplemining-os

great job for posting!

very useful for everyone
its really helpfull, why @tytanick doesnt make a script to make it auto in SMOS

I fixed my 'rig showing as offline' issue.

I simply deleted the rig in smos, manually rebooted my rig by cycling the power.

Rig showed up instantly in smos as online and working (green)
