Offset is lets say global parameter in gpu whch told gpu to undervolt by specified value.
For exampel if gpu has values for different stages like 900, 950, 1000 tehn offset of 100 will make those values 800,850,900.
Anyway after this update there will need to set value in standard format and not offset one.
So for example 850 [mv].
I am dont have experience in this field of modding bioses in GPU and only that i heard here and there.

I will switch my 8 rigs to smos When proper oc will be released (can't wait) i run my 580s at 1200/900 // 2250/900
I push 31,7 mhs eth + 1000mhs dcr... I hope i will get similar perf... Roll Eyes

Just added new group to smos panel and then everything dissapeared ? I had quite a lot of configs there?

I will try this in my spare time on my rig, this is a cool way of making better use of GPU mining, will probably take up alot of new peoples time since it's an operating system, but the more experienced will love this. Thx for making it, useful as hell. Will try to mine some Onion on it maybe Wink

OK guys. I have some progress in undervolting and it might accually work.
If you guys want time frame then in next 2-6 days it should be released.
There will be OPTIONAL UPDATE near each RX OS rig which has old kernel (without dagfix)
This update will install dgfix kernel and packages but ONLY when you will click on it.
I dont want install it automatically.
If someone has already dagfix OS RX then no need to install this update.

On top of this there will be auto update which will fix some scripts in system.
After that you will be able to write undervolting values in Overclocking Modal under rig options.

After all of that you will have restored ethereum mining speed andnormal power wattage.
Probably even some less power draw in certain gpus but i will leave that for users to test

AFTER that will be done and fixed, the next in line is NVIDIA some problems with some p106 and gtx1060 gpus.
AFTER fixing nvidia i will focus on VEGA which is already laying on my desk and waiting for support.

In a mean time there will be builded some HELP/FAQ page.

So right now please dont write me any more emails "when" and "how" Cheesy

- i really need to fix this shit once for all.

Great news, looking forward to it bro. Optional update would be amazing. You are a very helpful guy with great personality, so I'm sure almost all users would love to see Simple Miner outclassing the competition.

Unfortunatley no. Cant get this working stable on some GPUs.
When there will be done, i will elease it.
Anyway for now its best to reflash current pendrive with dagfix version, lower a core clock a little and monitor if it doesnt take to much wattage.
If you have some spare power in your power supply then just try it and you will have again normal hashrate.

P.S
Also currently there is not much progress in dashboard becase we are focusing on Admin dahsboard (for simplemining staff) for daily operations.
Such as payment or rig checkups that people ask me over email.
So those changes wont be seen by end user at all.

Guys, there is dagfix which was released long ago.

The only problem is that it takes much more power watts.
I am still working on dashboard to implement "optional update".
Thats why i cant push this update to all users becasue it would bring many problems !
When i will done the undervolting then there will be optional update.

Note also that user "cryptoscum" in chat is from simplemining support staff and he is helping people as suppose to.
Support in email is done by me and this is slowing me down. I decided to hide email in Help page becasue i need to answer to many beginner stuff.
All those questions please ask in chat.

About XMR miner. Claymore is doing new version for linux and when he will release it then minign XMR will be pleasnt again.

If someone doesnt like simplemining.net service and want to leave then just write email to [email protected] and i can give refund of remaining cash in account.

Or instead you can actually read the thread and find out that there already is a link posted multiple times with the image where the dag file was already addressed? No ?

Thats being said: improvements of os indeed looks to be slow lately.

Yeah dag fix my ass. 10% improvement in hash and 30%+ in power is not a fix. I would understand if theres no fix on linux at all. But there is.

Magic word: "offset". Everything is already there in place, just need to do some work.

The DAG fix for Linux barely came out. Let the Dev have some time. He's working very hard and has a very good product for most of us. If you really need that extra 2 hash per card, switch to other OS. I am patient and hope Dev will release something reliable soon.

im true fan of smos.
still use it for free with negative balance, with almost all of my hardware works almost without tweak.
sometimes guys on chat help really really well, but it takes times.
