Wolf0 is really good at card flashing  lots of knowledge and knows what he is doing.
He is why I tell people don't flash cards unless you know what you are doing.
The example above is a hidden piece of info that he told us and it is yet another reason non-skilled flashers (sounds like porn)  brick cards.

How do you backup the original bios example I built my rig instead of installing win like my other rigs I just used smos on usb now if I want to flash my bios shouldn't I have a backup so how do I backup my original without having to install win thanks for any tips or advice

3 is lowered DPM state, lower dpm state lower wattage usage. But this is experimental and sometimes it works and sometimes not.
Try using 5 dpm and see if you will have also problems.

The atiflash is already in /root/utils if someone is looking for it.

its the same program on windows as linux
if you can run the commands in windows then you shouldnt have any issues with them on linux

I just wanted to avoid them flashing, it means a lot of cards to transfer one after one to a PC with Win, the driver, load the memory producer, make a backup, then upload a new bios and in 3 years hope that I did not lose the bios for possible sale Cards.

Is it possible to get this info from claymore on web app: "GPU #1 got incorrect share. If you see this warning often, make sure you did not overclock it too much!" then will be more easy for me understand what gpu need to downclock cause i'm can't stay all day front on monitor to check it.

tytanick I just started using this and as someone relatively new to Mining it's an awesome set of software, thank you for making it.
However, I do have a complaint for you; the browser UI is in a pretty bad state imo. At a guess i'd say you're very much a back end sorta person and so I don't blame you, it works so why make it better aye? So anyway, I was just wondering if there was any plans to make some improvements on it

I guess you can but it can be replaced via my global update sometime in future.
Accually i will propably shutdown in future ability to login in to your rig with password.
This will propably will be replaced via RSA key which everyone of you will get - but its just a thought  and i dont know ETA of this.
Still as i will always say "i dont support custom changes" Its becasue i dont get responsibility if my updates will fuck something up due to changes in system, you need to understand this.

Right now if you want in linux undervolting you need to have custom bios with added offset.
Anyway i someone wants my friend is doing custom bioses.
Adding voltage offset which recudes wattage and it works in linux = 0.2 BTC (for each model/brand/memory type, i can do RX400/RX500 gpus)

You need custom VBIOS for that. Try googling: PolarisBiosEditor timings.

Custom bios can do 29-30 MH/s depending on gpu tyle (those results are for RX570 4GB)

RX OS is headless only, Just set in motherboard bios Integraded graphic as default, then just change email address once flashed pendrive nad boot , thats it. It should show up in dahsboard on my website.

Can you tell exactly what you changed in motherboards bios for it to see 6 cards?

Same or slightly better than a 470 or 480.  They're slightly overclocked so you may get 2 MH more at stock speeds. But as soon as you start tweaking the bios, undervolting, changing memory clocks, etc.  They work almost identical to a 470 or 480.

This OS is intended to be headless.  You just need to edit the config file to include your email address before you start the rig.

It is just some minor improvements over the core clock compared to 470 and 480. All the RX 4xx series are going EOL, no more stock in the future.

Also the RX 5xx series will consume a bit less power than RX4xx. Anyways you don't have a choice, you will need to buy RX5xx for your mining purposes. I believe the RX5xx series are performing well for Ethereum mining and a bit better for Zcash since the core clock is higher on stock settings.

On custom bios comparaison, the RX5xx will just consume a bit less. I still have to finish my testing, but this is what I think we will get in the end.

With that said, check out Bits Be Trippin' on youtube. They do a fine job of helping the startup miner. They have results posted for the RX 570, 580s

+1 Best thing I've read in this thread, with exception of tytanick.

With profitability so high, we see a wave of 'entitled miners'. They expect help from everyone with no contribution in return, and they are too lazy to do simple google searches.

Hello friends, I'm a totally newbie and I built my first rig using asrock h81pro and 3 msi rx470 4gb.
Any firmware or bios modified, unboxed and installed in the rig.
Installed SMOS with claymore eth 8.1 and each gpu return me 21.00 m/hs ; I've tried to overclock them using Core1150 and Memory2000 (no other parameter charged) and now they work at 22.5 m/hs.
I've read that is possible to reach 27/28 m/hs , can someone help me posting me correct parameter ? I don't want to damage my gpu making mistakes with wrong parameter.
I've read all 125 post and not find particular setting about overclock, sorry if I missed some.

I am getting a lot of "GPU returned incorrect data" on my 280x (stock bios, tried many core freq settings) with claymore 12.4 at any intensity. Any workarounds or should I stick to optiminer?
