I have been doing the same - wasted so much money on online stuff. But its been a few months that I have stopped over spending and saved a few bucks.

Money isn't useful in itself except when put to use. It really doesn't matter how much one has if one can't affect the lives of those around one. My mindset is whatever money I spend on myself is what should be spent. There's nothing like over spending or extravagant life for me.

people have different views of what they want, all the things you mentioned to be the dream someone is very nice but we have to have another thing will bring return instead of getting luxury things that need your fund's for maintenance, the aspect of having a private school and branded drink should be a target of someone who want have a legacy on earth before departure on earth, my dream is to own a company of different brand which when I'm no longer on earth it will continue to exist and it will be controlled by my surviving family, so when I have such then will be happy. As I portrayed before that my ambition or vision will not be admirable by another person, so we have different obligations.

The dream of my life is having a cottage by the wood with flower all around. And have a comfortable neighbourhood where nobody judges you.
I dont like rushy and noisey place. I just want to have money to have a joyful present and and some saving for medial emergency nothing more.

My aim in life is a van house - where there is uninterrupted water and electric and gas supply. And the main focus this year is on health.
Money is important thing - but so is health, safety and wellbeing
We must find ways to earn money - side by side we must we must find ways to educate yourself with the new things happening in the world around.

Money is meant to be spent. The whole point of saving money is so you can spend more in the future, or maybe afford something that you've been meaning to buy for a while. Personally, I wouldn't advise saving money for something that you wanna buy, especially if it's beyond your means and it's only going to be a liability, like owning a car or a new smartphone, but you do you really. It's just that, as someone who grew up virtually in poverty, I had this mindset ingrained in me that "money is supposed to be spent, but not wasted" so I make every cent count and then grew up to have a notion that's similar to Akon's, where if you can't buy more of the stuff you wanna buy in one go, like a car for example, you shouldn't buy it, because it is beyond your means.

Money is meant to solve our needs that is why we need to be prepared and always have a scale of preference that would direct us on how we spend money and for the most important needs. There was a time that I have no control over the way I spend money but it got to a time that I have to plan myself and make sure that I make savings that would take me over the time when there may be shortage of funds. We need to attach value to money so that we will not spend it anyhow.

I think the worst part of economy is the things that are unexpected. Like one day you wake up and your washing machine is broken, now you either have to get it fixed, or even worse get a new one.

How could you calculate something like that into your finances, you don't and it causes a step back, even if you have a savings aside, it lowers the amount in your savings, and it will happen there is no way around it, you can't live with the same washing machine for 50 years, eventually you will have to change it, or your tv, or your laptop, or whatever else. At the end of the day it is always going to be some unexpected spending which ruins all of this financial planning.

The idea behind needs defines it to be a you can't do without and that makes it pretty much a most have rather than wants that are more or less expendables that often comes with substitutes. Hence, its much easier to prioritize your needs than you would do with your wants. Any neglect to that would be doing it wrong and the results are not always far behind.

As much as possible, I use my money for a long-term benefits such as investments and buying good assets. I always look forward to a comfortable living in the future so I save as long as I could. However, I still manage to provide for the needs of my family while rewarding myself sometimes so I will feel more motivated to work hard and earn. I think what is important is we'll know how to manage our finances wisely and always include our future when we are budgeting.
