Changing it this way will means that Moneypot hold absolute control of the funds and pretty much weird I think. If someone intended to "not use" the funds for X period of time then the person could just withdraw it and keep the funds safe by himself ( just my 2cents for this

What I mean is, to give an option of investing and divesting funds while the funds are locked. Get what I mean?

Not so. Changing it would mean Moneypot will have the same control as it would have for locked funds.
I am only talking about funds that are locked by the user for the period.
You can't withdraw locked funds anyway.
Edit2:
This version means that you will NOT be able to DIVEST for 30 days.
My suggested version means you will be able to INVEST and DIVEST as you like, but you can't bet.
Might need to show separate locked and unlocked funds, but that and a bit more work is all that is needed for implementing this.
