Yes there will be a couple coins that are very valuable in a couple years but the vast majority of them will be worthless.

Only coins that do things will be valuable. Coins that you have that are just there to hopefully go up on value so you can profit will be worthless.

Its like the dot com boom. You are betting on websites. Which website is going to get the most visitors. Most died.

There will always be people who will be debbie downer, they will always talk about how it will be awful but the reality is that we are not going to see anything that is remotely this bad. Sure there will always be some horrible coins and that is going to not change anything, but the reality is that we are not going to see all coins great neither so there will be some horrible coins and there will be some great coins and there will be some average coins, that is how things are in the crypto world. There are some shitcoins, there are some bitcoins, learn to live with that.

You should invest into whatever you want to invest, there is nothing stopping you from investing into anything you want, only thing that matters is the fact that you need to end up money that you can afford to lose, do not invest money that you can't afford to lose, like do not put your rent money into crypto, but aside from that if you are fine with losing that money, just invest into anywhere you want.

This is a normal scenario in this industry because there are lots of coins out there are just been created for pump and dump investment where when they are done with the other, they will create another and the list goes on. That's why research is a must for new investors and before they decide to pick up the coins they want to invest their money with, they need to check the hype if it's real or not. I remember when I was a newbie in this community, some people on this board already warn people about such kinds of shit coins. everyone must take heed and not join any group that promotes hype that doesn't exist after few months from launching.

Yes that true. One example which I know is trump coin. It went high during trump regime and elections but now it's going down and chances are with time it will be worthless.
Just like that there are so many shit coins that are getting volume because of artificial pumping from investors, DYOR before you invest in any coin.

Very true and I totally agree with the poster, and I personally believe that at least, most of those investing in this shitcoins already know this, if we look back from 2015 to date, a lot of coins created in those times that were also very valuable in those times are already dead today, most have even been delisted on all the exchanges they were been traded upon and can't be found anywhere again again, coins like ATS, cartaxi, Pos token, and so many others are already dead, this is same way its going to be for several if not all the meme coins we have today, they are all gonna be dead in two or three years or even shorter from now, it's just like defi, several defi coins are dead already, it's only a matter of little time and all the meme coins will start dying one after the other too.

Most of the coins today are worthless or even abandoned by their owners, because there is no backup plan when investors are not interested in investing in them, so the devoleper doesn't care and let them die, therefore we have to choose the right coin if we want to invest in the long term, so that the capital we invest will get multiple profits at a later date

Actually what is written in topic name is true. If Bitcoin, number one crypto and most popular one is not adopted yet and not used as a regular payment. Then altcoins are far away from being used and demanded. Also, new alts appear everyday. They dont live long.

About altcoins we should know actually it is hard to predict how it's price in future. Not talk about coins that still on trend now which easily to get rugged, but some projects in past not all died already, i see some of them get pumped and i learned not all tokens is bad and worth to hold. But in personal, if want to hold a coins especially for years, i will pick big coins which is already in market.

Yes, shitcoins will be worthless in near future. I hope soon shitcoins trend will end at all shitcoins will be invisible from crypto market. All the good and promising project will be in this market. The reputation of crypto has decreased a lot because of Shitcoins. All thought now crypto has become gambling type.

That is absolutely true, but i want to restrict that statement or rephrase it to "all of your meme-coins will be worthless in a few years" probably even already in a few months and this is a good thing in my opinion. Those meme-coins took away so much volume and market-cap from "real" projects or projects with a use-case that it was very harmful for the whole crypto-market in my opinion and maybe even the main-reason for the falling prices that we see since 2 weeks. It is also true though that even some "good" projects will be dying in the next couple of years that is just how the market works and you also need a little bit of luck to establish your project successfully.

Yes mate all the shitcoins will be worthless very soon. Their investors will not Invest anymore in these shitcoins and websites visitors will also slightly decrease. So I think we should not hold any shitcoin for long term. We should invest for a time and book our profit.

Instead of holding on to coins for long term I prefer taking profits when there is one so I don't care if a coin is shit or not if it can double or triple my ROI, the only crypto coin worth holding for years without any worries of losing your ROI is BTC and ETH

It's been happening since the ICO boom in 2015, back in those times hundreds of new coins are coming only to become dead coin after a few months and I don't think it's going to ever stop, because coins creation are open-sourced and there are a lot of platforms to create a token, scammers are going to create new coins every week to scam people, this is the time to do extensive research and educating yourself on what to look on a coin.

So what to do?
In case your bought coins like Doge, Shiba, XRP, or any coins with billions in volume pumped up, sell it.
Don't regret it if it goes up. There will be time a dump will happen again and you will feel good about selling early.
You bought it for a reason, profit. That's the plan, never sway to loving them or you will just hurt yourself.

for long term investment its very suitable , just buy and forget at least for years and check it again later. just like dogecoin ,or another altcoin which is rise extremely this year. if we have monthly income our psychology will not disturb although cryptocurrency price drop.

Investors get it wrong to believe that some of the coins they Invested in will be sustainable in the long period, altcoins, except for a few are only pump and dump coins, and if you're looking for coins to hold for a long period of time, they aren't your best option, that's cause, their development isn't a continuous process.

The thing is just that quite a lot of investors are basically only after "getting rich fast", thus it's not about research, or long time sustainability for them but hype/pump, which can be counterproductive most of the time.
