What makes it an even more boring race than it was is the fact that Max passed his team mate Perez like he was driving a really slow car and not the fastest car on the grid.I am extremely surprised at how little resistance Perez put in to Verstappen while both of these guys are racing the same car,I know that it was the DRS enabled that made Max pass but it was also of the slow drive from Perez and also a slower,much slower pit stop from Redbull crew to Perez who made him not create a real distance to Verstappen.This happening shows that Perez is a completely mediocre driver and most likely he will be replaced when the time comes.
I think DRS and ERS makes that difference. A car could do lets say about 320 km per hour on a straight without any of them, and can do as high as 350 with both of them open. That difference makes anyone pass anyone. For example, if Max was driving ahead, with both DRS and ERS closed, and then Perez was coming from behind, with both DRS and ERS opened, then he would have nearly 20-30 km faster car as well.You can't just look at it like "they both have the same car, why did Max passed him so easily", sure one of them will look like it's slower when it's the same car, because one of them is using those two features, and that makes the car go faster. This is why Max was able to pass Perez so easily and get the position. It's the fact that he didn't give it back that is great.
