What a fantastic day for Pecco Bagnaia at the Silverstone MotoGp race today. He was very consistent in today's race and also served every available duel including with Maverick Vinales when the race entered the final laps. And it is a very unfortunate thing for Fabio Quartararo because he had to follow the Long Lap Penalty penalty and also had to settle for finishing eighth after the race was over. Alex Rins from Suzuki also couldn't do much after leading the race for a few laps to be overtaken by the other Ducati riders and he was only able to finish the race in seventh place.

I thought today to be a boring Sunday until end of August when F1 will be back.I completely forgot that luckily there are MotoGP races,I think I will not miss the next one,it has been a long time I don't follow MotoGP because for me these new names that are the riders of the moment do not produce the same level of entertainment that produced Rossi and company when MotoGP were at the highest level of action, overtaking and entertainment.

Silverstone is not a good track for MotoGP I think as it is more suitable for F1 races,Assen is the university of MotoGP as they say, that track is one of the best if not the best of all the calendar.

Ricciardo had lot of potential when he was in Red Bull and it looked like only matter of time when he will become champion. Until Verstappen didn't appeared. Daniel didn't wanted to be No. 2 driver and made step back by joining Renault. Years in Renault weren't good. Joining Mclaren looked like step forward, but so far his performance there was one big disappointed. It's sad, Daniel is my favourite person on the grid, but now he is more like a great guy, rather than good driver.
It wasn't exactly his fault at red bull neither. He was there with an aggressive driver who didn't like to be second guessed by his teammate, you are number 2 and you have to be like that, and when Verstappen was so young, he acted as the first driver right away which he shouldn't have.

When you are like 17-18 years old, you let Daniel to be the number one for a while and then let Verstappen grow into his shoes. But both Verstappen declined that and wanted to be best right away, and also Red Bull gave him the greenlight to be the number one when he was just a kid who couldn't get a license yet. So all in all Daniel was unlucky there, but rest was a bit of a tough situation.

Daniel is kicked off Mclaren by 2023, Piastri is taking his position. Riccardio has been an amazing racer all his career, amazing entertainer and he raced very well until he came to Mclaren which didn't really worked out for him to be fair, he was always outpaced by his teammate, but I do not know how long will Mclaren let Lando Norris take up that space neither, dude never won a single race so far, not saying that he should have been a title winner or something, but not a single win? Really?

Their car is good enough to have at least one win so far, dude is just straight up not amazing. Piastri there means that they could have a young gun who could be the next big thing for them.

We are weeks away from the next race which is in Spa. This track is among my favourites first of all. Verstappen is the last winner of this Grand Prix and there isn't any dominance of any driver here in the recent seasons. However Verstappen can continue his streak as Red Bull's car is still very strong. I will be curious about what Leclerc will do as well because he might be the only driver who can stop Verstappen now. He has had serious problems because of Ferrari's strategies so far but hopefully he won't experience this here again.

Yea and yet teams don't know if the regulation will change or not, it is probable but nothing official yet..

This is a joke.

By the way the Spa GP is under the threat of being removed from the calendar by next season also. At least there have been some rumours regarding that. To tell the truth I would rather seeing the track being kept in the calendar. Because I believe that it is still one of the very special tracks in F1. There are some other boring tracks already that should be thought of for that first. For example the Monaco GP is one of the most boring races as it is nearly impossible to overtake drivers there.
The amount of money that goes into this sport is just not making any sense right now. I mean they are not making that much back, but they are spending so much. How could we say that Haas could continue to afford this for example, like let's assume Aston Martin puts some money from their factory car profits, but what could Haas do? If teams keep on making a loss then it will continue to be like this. Same goes for tracks, F1 wants a lot of money from tracks, and tracks can't pay that much and make it back, hence why it becomes a trouble.

I know for a fact that it can't be a big deal like this for a long time, we need to find a way to make sure all tracks are free, and we do not get "Saudi Arabia paid a ton, so now all the others have to as well" situation.

Finally today Johann Zarco was able to get the best time (1:57.767) in today's Silverstone MotoGP qualifying and that was also a New All Time Lap Record and placed him as the Position Pole for the Silverstone MotoGP race tomorrow. Congratulations to Johann Zarco today for getting to the front of the grid although I doubt for you in terms of winning the race tomorrow.

we are getting more rumors about the change from SPA.

FOR no reason, they are talking about increasing the high of the cars by about 6 millimeters, to reduce the porposing.

But this is BS, some cars like RBR have fewer problems because they worked better, so why will they need to be penalized because some other team's car sucks?

With the new regulation according to the simulations, the car that will earn the most is Mercedes and they will recover 3/10 over RBR and Ferrari, and they may be the new fastest car in the circus...

What a joke.

A complete joke for real if these come into place. Why the FIA seem to over love them in particular I don't know, nevertheless the problem is that their drivers are far behind in points and they pose no threat for this F1 season as nor Hamilton and nor Russell can win it.Seeing from this point of view it can be somewhat entertaining to see Mercedes drivers winning races,in fact Hamilton told in the team radio in Hungary that if he was not starting 7th then most probably they would have been fighting for the win.

In SPA I hope to see a normal race this year and not just 2 laps like last season.

Jorge Lorenzo is still the record holder champion in a row Silverstone circuit 2011,2012 and 2013, and so far not yet a racer who can break his domination. the last racer is Quartararo in 2021, but for this year, can he try to win in a row? because bad weather is always an obstacle in the Silverstone circuit, Quartararo always has a problem with a rainy and wet track, so when this happens, I believe we can get a new winner, and he can't still break Jorge Lorenzo's domination.
There seems to be a bit of confusion over the data you say. While the retired Jorge Lorenzo has won back-to-back wins at Silverstone since the circuit was used by MotoGP in 2010, Jorge Lorenzo has only won successively in 2012 and 2013, meaning Jorge Lorenzo has only won twice in a row. of the three wins he had at Silverstone. Meanwhile, the winner of the MotoGP Race in 2011 was Casey Stoner, who at that time was in the Repsol Honda team.
I say this because I refer to the data attached to the motorplus-online.com website.

I don't think need to be "Italian"

Remember, English is an International language and I believe the most language being used is English and Italian just optional language on who you're talking about. Example to Binotto while he speaks more influence with Italian rather than english.

Mercedes really started to seem that they were really recovering. Ferrari are making too many mistakes now and this is quite likely to cost them very much. I'm not even saying that Leclerc would lose his chance to become the champion of this season. Because he is already in a really bad situation as he is 80 points away from Verstappen. Ferrari should at least focus on not losing in the constructor standings. Even though they have been bad they can still catch up with Red Bull.

At this point , Ferrari should totally rethink their strategy , maybe even hire a new one as back up or as principle because it's clearly that the current group of Ferrari is not working and it will not work for the rest of the season. Meanwhile , summer break is here and Binotto is hiding from the news and press , thinking that if he let some days passes by , media and the fans will forget about it. Well ...I think this time , Binotto might be out until summer break is over. Who can replace him ? Hmm...hard to tell yet.

You're right , at this point , Mercedes will catch Ferrari and will overtake them in constructor championship and I think they will.

The question is, if ever Ferrari does decide to replace the pit wall at the end of the season, does the replacement for team principal have to be Italian?  I know, I know...  It's Ferrari.  I mean no offense but it hasn't really been working out for them since the days of Jean Todt who I think brought his Benneton team with him at Ferrari.

And I think Binotto is an asset as a chief technical officer.  They should keep him around to build good cars and leave the role of team principal to somebody else.

Dovizioso just announced his retirement from the Moto GP.

His last Gp will be at Misano and he will not complete the season.  Undecided

It's something very sad even though Yamaha test rider @calcrutchlow is ready to replace Dovizioso's seat for the rest of the season #motogp.

And I also read a few reasons posted by local media where the reason Dovi chose to stop was because he couldn't be comfortable with the M1, but he still thanked Yamaha for giving him the opportunity to return to MotoGP #gpcornercom

I'm not surprised that Dovizioso is retirement, he didn't get back on track after Ducati and Yamaha is also the wrong bike for him. But why he doesn't finish the season?

After the very long summer break due to the failure (insolvency) of the KymiRing, MotoGP finally gets back underway this weekend. Last year Fabio was very strong at Silverstone, as was Aleix. They will be the favourites to win again this year, so if a Ducati rider wants to have a chance of winning the title, he should step it up in the second half of the season and win at Silverstone.

I told this a long time ago, instead of trying to find a way to beat Red Bull, they should try to find a way to not beat themselves because they keep doing that. For make it clear, Max started 10th, then he worked his way to ahead of Charles, then he had a spin, lost his place, and then he went ahead of Charles all over again.

I am sorry but that basically tells me that it is not really a good team to be in at all. Maybe people would argue against that, but it's the truth. Ferrari should fire everyone at the end of this year, like literally everyone from Binotto to guy who carries stuff, and they should hire them all from other teams or other leagues and find a good team.

Don't worry.

A rumor from some media with Michael Schumacher brother, binoto are gonna to kicked from Ferarri after this season ~XD. To many mistake fuck-up the driver ferarri, they have so much potential but the team strats is really garbage.

Repeating the same mistake and make the driver losing the spot of winning the championship.
