There is lot of penalties which mixed grid, but in such track like Monza, especially when it's just 5 position penalty for Verstappen. Well deserved pole for Leclerc, especially because he won it himself and not after penalty of Verstappen. Solid performance of De Vries, he outqualified GOATifi in his first ever qualification.

Yeah this weekend is pretty confusing with all the starting grid penalties for so many different drivers. I am kinda surprised that Verstappen gets yet another penalty even though he already had one last weekend. I don't really understand why Red Bull was not replacing that part also during the last weekend to just get 1 penalty on 1 weekend instead of 2 in a row now.
Still position 7 for Verstappen is still OK for him i would say. He can easily finish the race on the podium this way and his lead in the championship is already so big that I don't think Leclerc can do everything about that anymore. So Verstappen just needs to finish every race and he is fine.

This is the current look of the odds for the win.

Leclerc had an odd like 7.00 before so I hope that many people were able to take advantage of the chance. Because he has a significant chance to win this race after that qualifying performance. Of course I know that qualifying and race are different things. Durable cars are needed for races. However I still think this race will be different for Ferrari. This time they shouldn't have durability problems. In this case Verstappen has a very difficult task to overtake Leclerc. So far he has been way faster than Leclerc indeed but they might change roles here.

By the way Verstappen is starting at the 7th position not 4th. It has been changed one last time and this is the final decision. But of course he wouldn't have much problem on overtaking all the cars ahead of him until staying alone with Leclerc on the front.

Yes but the odd is deceiving and very little for Verstappen.I know he is a great driver and he starts 7th with cars ahead of him not at a great performance but until he passes all of them Leclerc has all the time needed to create the gap and keep Verstappen distant in a range where he cannot use DRS which is his strongest weapon in a track like this.

Leclerc did an awesome lap yesterday and got pole without caring much that Verstappen had already a penalty grid,it showed awesome pace which I think it will be the same even in the race that starts just 2 hours from now and I can't wait as it will be a very interesting one to watch.

So the smart people are those who have already bet on him at odd 7 but also the ones who bet with an odd now of over 2 is great again.

Congratulations to Toprak for winning today's Superpole Race at the WSBK event. The race was really fierce where Alvaro Bautista, who started the race in fourth position, was able to race forward and Jonathan Rea with Toprak gave him pressure by continuing to stick and chasing Alvaro Bautista in several sectors that required hard braking.
And the result was extraordinary for Toprak because the race this time was really fierce and tense from start to finish.

Leclerc has all the possibility to get away from Max in the opening laps and it should do so as I think Russell is not that easy to overtake, probably at race pace they would be somewhat better than qualifying and Leclerc needs just 5-7 laps to put a good gap to Verstappen, keep it all the race as we saw the new upgrade worked really well in the straights and the top speed of Leclerc was nearly 350 Km/h which is a big one,of course everything has to run smoothly, from the start of Leclerc, creating a gap and maintaining it together with the most fragile part of the equation or the team at the pit stops, only this can assure a Ferrari win and I am highly confident it will happen tomorrow.

Don't think so.

RBR has the best DRS on the grid and the DRS is the most important thing in Monza.

Keep also in mind the wake effect on this track is OMEGA powerful, even if you are 2 seconds ahead the car behind will have a cleaner air and earn speed.

Ferrari was faster than expected and Mercedes slower than expected, it should be a fight between Max and Charles.

The RBR will start 4th and it will be easy for them to overtake the others.

Also if it will be on Ferrari SDRs, then Ferrari will have no chance, the DRS from RBR is the most powerful in the circus... and we are at Monza.

It was lovely to watch Leclerc taking the pole position without caring about Verstappen had a grid penalty or not. This must have made the Tifosi very excited for the race. This is a really solid signal to be competitive in the race however it is still not clear whether we will see durability problems for Ferrari again. If Leclerc doesn't have a consistent race then Verstappen would take the lead and open the gap very much in no time. Hopefully Ferrari have prepared well for this race. If Leclerc experiences the same thing again then it will be a huge disappointment after all those expectations.

I think that Leclerc needs a super perfect first stint before the first pit stop,he needs to create the gap to Verstappen as much as possible during this phase and if he does it will be impossible for Verstappen to catch up always assuming the same fast performance from Ferrari also during the race,as I said that new part that they have upgraded showed itself really big here as it was a fantastic lap from Leclerc.

Also I think Sainz would be up to 3rd or 4th if Ferrari keeps the same pace of today for tomorrow race which is highly probable because of the new upgrade that greatly enhances the top speed,a vital thing needed for doing good in a track like this one.

Finally another (small) success for Ferrari, Leclerc can start from P1 tomorrow. We have already seen in previous competitions that this is no guarantee of success. I have also read that Verstappen has had his engine tinkered with, and that he is put 5 places backwards as a result. not that it matters much, recently he won a match that he started from P12. Leclerc seems to have the ultimate chance to win another race tomorrow, but if Verstappen quickly gets behind Leclerc at the start, it's the same story again and Verstappen will win. It's starting to get a bit boring this way.

Based on the pole lap that Leclerc made I think he has all the possibilities to win the race tomorrow.Verstappen was very good on lap times also but about near 0.200 slower per lap which if we consider that he starts several positions behind Leclerc,it means Leclerc has all the advantage he needs to win the race,I am only worried from some grotesque errors from the team rather than from him.It was a great response from Ferrari in this lap and that Venturi new part surely helped them achieve that great top speed in the straights very much needed here.

The smart ones are the ones who already bet on Leclerc to win the race before the qualifying as he had an odd of near 7 which is really big.

The starting grid with all the penalties now looks like this. It also looks good for Mercedes and Russell, they have a good chance of a podium finish.

It will also be interesting to see how far ahead Perez and Sainz can go. I assume that Verstappen will be second behind Leclerc, should Ferrari not be much to blame again.

Strong performance from Ferrari at Monza, Leclerc also set a very fast lap today. A lot of drivers have penalties this weekend, but Verstappen still has a very good chance from fourth on the grid. It seems Ferrari can only beat itself again this weekend.

Yeah there are some grid penalties for quite many drivers right now. Verstappen can't take pole position for example as he has as a 5-place grid penalty. This could be a big chance for Leclerc to start in pole position easily. Ferrari supporters already want to see such result in this very important race for them. However this wouldn't be a big obstacle for Verstappen in the race also. Because if you look at the results of FP3 he is still faster than Ferrari drivers. It wouldn't be too difficult for him to catch up with Leclerc in the race.

Leclerc won't have Sainz behind him to stall Verstappen also because Sainz also has a grid penalty and he will start from the back. I wonder how good Leclerc will do alone against Verstappen. His rivalry with Hamilton in 2019 is still unforgettable and we might see a similar one between him and Verstappen this time.

The Q1 just ended and Verstappen is again on another planet.Despite his penalty grid he has all the possibility to win the race tomorrow as he did a lap time of 0.358 faster than Leclerc second but Leclerc was helped from his team mate Sainz who offered him a slipstream during this session as Sainz is one of the many drivers who will get a penalty and will start from the back of the grid. The only hope for Leclerc to win tomorrow as most probably he will start on pole is to make a distance to Verstappen in the first laps and keep that distance while also his team to execute the perfect strategy,if this does not happen it will be difficult for Ferrari.

It turns out that today there is a French Superbike that has just finished its Race1 and congratulations to Alvaro Bautista and the Ducati manufacturer who won this race and also strengthened himself at the top of the temporary standings with a total of 323 points. And this time two of his toughest opponents fell on the day, namely Jonathan Rea from the Kawasaki manufacturer and Toprak from the Yamaha manufacturer.

So what's the grid gonna mostly likely look like with penalties for power unit and gear box changes from a few drivers happening this weekend?  I heard Hamilton, Verstappen, Sainz and a couple others are getting grid penalties.  Could this be finally Leclerc's chance to win a race?  And it's an important race for the Ferrari too.

And Merc doesn't look too good after FP3.  They're a tad more than 1 sec behind the leader which again is unsurprisingly Verstappen.  I guess any line of 1.90 - 2.00 before the race is +EV.  What do you guys think?

There is half an hour to go for FP3.

So far so good for Ferrari drivers. Leclerc and Sainz both have made a strong impression by their performances in the first practice sessions. Verstappen gave a signal in FP2 by carrying himself right to the middle of them. Qualifying session can be quite delightful as it seems. I expect Ferraris to push it to the limit. Especially Leclerc would do his best to have the pole position at the end. He was so close to making it for the Dutch GP but he missed it by a slight difference. Considering the importance of this race he might be able to do it this time.

However I've heard that Verstappen made a change in his car so I wonder if this will help him stay ahead of Leclerc anyway. Leclerc didn't do anything while Sainz was also making some changes. Maybe he didn't need it but I hope Ferrari know what they are doing this time. At least they should do everything they can to win this special race.

Well well , it seems McLaren have the pace to be on top 6 with both cars this weekend but I doubt Ricciardo will have the mood to driver or even be present to a Formula 1 race anymore as we can see clearly that he lost his passion in F1 in the last 2 years Sad but he should try his best to bring points back to his team.

Mercedes are facing new issues regarding the bouncing of the car and also their top speed is no near the other cars so I will not be surprised is somehow Mercedes will struggle to get points in race but qualifiers should set things straight for the race.
