It was mostly a boring race except for the start when Verstappen got Sainz's position right off the bat then Leclerc's position to get first.  Sainz was weak.  He should've done a better job in defending his own position in order to defend Leclerc and have his team win the race.  But props to Verstappen.  He shows every race that he wants it more.  Hope for a better race on the next one.

Did Verstappen lead all the laps?  I wasn't paying attention anymore after the 15th lap or so.  Anyway here are the results.

The race will start now, it is very hot.
Expecting a few safety cars here even a red flag IMHO.

See you soon.

Also 40% of rain.

And so far I see almost everyone wants the Suzuki team to be able to survive next season or until 2026 based on the contract that has been signed by Suzuki.
It seems that this is a serious problem. Maybe Suzuki's sales in all automated industries are not good. They cannot afford to cover all accommodation costs for racing activities. Actually MotoGP is also a proving ground for the strength of the world's Motorcycle Industry. In addition, MotoGP can also attract consumers with its achievements. But it seems that they are not capable enough to survive. Indeed if in my country Suzuki Bike is the number 3 choice after Honda and Yamaha. Hopefully they find the best solution not only for Suzuki but for all the teams. As a means of minimizing the use of funds.
That's true, because indirectly the MotoGP racing event can also be a promotional event for all manufacturers, including the Suzuki manufacturer. But so far, Suzuki's sales are very low when compared to its rivals, both from Japan (Honda & Yamaha). So that this can also have an impact on Suzuki itself in preparing funds for each race that takes place.
And I think that could also be another reason why factory Suzuki didn't have a satellite team on the MotoGP grid after the comeback to MotoGP in 2015.

That meme with Bottas never gets old and it's always funny no matter what the context is haha.

now , regarding race...we should have a crazy start of the race and I'm afraid safety car will be present after only 2 laps. Why ? Well ...the circuit itself was not designed for F1 in my opinion and drivers aren't satisfied with it either so yea , dangerous track for F1 drivers with high speed lanes and tight corners with no space to make mistakes. Entertaining but dangerous and I can't wait for it to start haha.

Very strong from Ferrari but the gap to RedBull is very small, will be an exciting race.

Remarkable performance by Bottes and Alfa Romeo to get ahead of Mercedes. But the race will probably be decided between Verstappen and Leclerc again.

We lost grip and was quite hot, Mercedes is hiding they did a thing in the gray area of the regulation, expeting them to be higher.

I've not seen any suggestion that Mercedes have broken the rules, what is the illegal (or grey area) thing that they're doing?

They weren't hiding their pace on Saturday, they were genuinely worse than on Friday, because the porpoising returned. But yes, I too expected they'd retain their Friday pace and would be challenging RB and Ferrari. Wolff has explained it though, they made a minor tweak after Friday, hoping it would bring further improvements... but it backfired and just brought the porpoising back, which wrecked FP3 and qualifying.

Miami GP looks to be a horrible design all around, and the fact that everyone is racing for the first time if I am not wrong means that nobody will be racing with 100% full knowledge, and can't give the max out of this track. Imagine racing somewhere maybe like 100 times so far in your life (between free practice, qualifying, real races) and having thousands and thousands of laps there, compared to having like a dozen of them all in all, there is a big difference.

You get to know every single detail and line you should race in one, and you are barely learning the other. This will be a quite boring week if you ask me and I am not expecting anything awesome.

They are 20 of the best drivers in the world, they can reach their 100% in few hours.

The race look kinda boring for now but we need to see tomorrow if overtakes are possible then it will be an interesting mix, better than Monaco.

Verstappen has had a lot of problems with his car in the free practice sessions. He has had problems with his car several times in the last races, there is a good chance that it will go wrong again in qualifying. Red Bull does not seem to have such a stable car as last season. I have the feeling that we will see even more dropouts in the coming races. Verstappen is favorite to win with Leclerc. 3rd and 4th Sainz and Perez but they don't seem to be able to win normally.

I honestly didn't expected Mercedes to be at around the top like this, andn ot so soon. I mean they have been barely in top 10 in races and now they had a free practice where they were first? George Russel also racing much better than Hamilton in almost all cases, it becomes a bit obvious that Hamilton is not at the top anymore, not because he doesn't have talent anymore suddenly, like literally last years last race he was still good this time around he can't be suddenly bad, so it is obvious that he just doesn't care because of the car. I am guessing that Mercedes getting better in Miami, if it happens of course, then it will be a great year until the end where 3 teams end up racing to the finish line together.

What do you guys think of this for a plot twist for the 2023 season?  Lewis Hamilton retires at the end of this season and Mercedes declares Russell to be their first driver but is left without a second driver.  Hmmm...  Toto Wolff is looking at the F1 roster and wonders who's contract expires at the end of the 2022 season.  He has to be experienced and be willing to play second fiddle but at the same time can win a race in case Russell has his hands tied...  In comes *drum roll* Vettel!  Toto Wolff says 'and he's German!  Perfect!'.  Grin

Possible outcome?

MILLER, MARTIN, ENEA? ️
Next season, the Ducati Lenovo Team has chosen Francesco Bagnaia as one of their drivers.

Right now, there is one hot seat in the factory team that is up for grabs by Jack Miller, Jorge Martin and Enea Bastianini?

In your opinion, who is the driver that Davide Tardozzi CS will choose for next season? Source: gpracingindonesia

Because we saw Russell as the 2nd and 1st driver in the standings in these sessions. Hamilton ended as the 8th first but he also improved his position by making it to the 4th position. We can hopefully see Mercedes drivers achieving a good success this week. At least one of them seems to be very likely to finish the race on the podium. And that driver seems to be like Russell to me for now.

I am so happy for Russel. He is finally shining bright in a car that is up to his skill levels. He is coming to grips with the package he has. He is used to squeezing the most out of a flawed package and he is starting to maximise what the Mercedes can do. The last few races definitely proof that he is world champion material. For the first time in a very long time, Lewis Hamilton has a really competitive teammate of comparable talent in George Russell. The last time that occurred was with Fernando Alonso.

Is there more accurate data on this? What would be changed, thought the engines are frozen or has Ferrari used a so-called joker and a component missed an update?

That would be another advantage for Ferrari over RedBull, I don't think RedBull still has very many reserves in the engine.

And does Ferrari only have the capacity for one engine or do they possibly not want to lose both cars in the event of a defect.

Engine can be upgraded only in the electrical part, the mechanical part is frozen until 2026.

It is said that Pol Espargaro already knows that there is no longer a place for him in the Repsol Honda garage in MotoGP 2023. Thus, Joan Mir is getting closer.
Honda Racing, which has reportedly been targeting the 2020 MotoGP world champion since last season, can make another approach. Before that, they must prepare an empty slot.

Because Marc Marquez is under contract until 2024, Espargaro is vulnerable to being shaken. In LCR Honda, the two riders, Alex Marquez and Takaaki Nakagami have also not held new contracts. According to Spanish and Italian media, the Honda team manager, Alberto Puig, has already informed the 30-year-old pilot about his future after the Spanish MotoGP.

The single-wing team's bet against Espargaro seems to have failed. The driver was recruited in 2021 after a good performance with KTM the previous year. He is in fifth place in the 2020 standings thanks to five third podium finishes.

The younger brother of Aprilia Racing's star, Aleix Espargaro, was unable to perform well even though he was in top condition compared to Marc Marquez. He only won the runner-up last season so he ended up in 12th position. Source: gpnews.ig / Motorsport.com

Finally the Ferrari performance I've been waiting for. when ferrari gets involved. Hamilton hasn't been that good this year but still he is a champion. Let's see what else we will see. I hope we will watch competitive races until the end.
