At the Haas Formula 1 team, both cockpit seats will be vacant next year.

I think Ferrari will install another talent there (assume that Mick Schumacher, Kimi's new team-mate, will be) and an experienced driver will take his place at his side, possibly Perez?

I would like to see Perez and Hulkenberg in Haas, but it won't happen. Only one of them probably will join Haas and I think it will be Perez - he have rich sponsors behind him.
Yeah, I expect that Mick Schumacher will replace Giovinazzi in Alfa Romeo. So, another young driver from F2 will join Haas. Who it can be? Shwatrzman, Ilott, maybe Mazepin.
I just hope it won't be rich sponsored driver without talent like Latifi.

That's correct, i also think Perez with a rich Sponsor will get the first Haas cockpit. I hear about Schwartzman and probably he is a very great Talent, maybe better than Mick Schumacher?

But when the next Ferrari engine is also so weak than it's for all Ferrari driver very demotivating.

Such intensive calendar with 23 races probably isn't very good for drivers, but for fans it's good thing. I think they adding more races because of Covid-19 situation in case if some races will be canceled like this year. Probably they want to make at least 20 races in order not to lose revenue from TV and sponsors.

I don't think they will go down to 20, I think they will go up to 30 Instead Cheesy.
Drivers are happy to racing they enjoy it.

The objective of F1 is always the same, to make more money possible from TV, more races more money!

I personally love the idea to go up to 30 GP/year in 3-4 years and having only 1 day for free practice/qualify.

Anyway, they have a proposal for next year.

23 GP! But if they are going with this solution, they will have only 1 session of free practice decreasing from 3 but increasing the duration up to 90 minutes and they will add some test days in some GP after the GP as it happens in Moto GP and it happened in Formula1 years ago.

What do you think if they will do the change from 3 days F1 to 2 days?

I mean last 4 races in Portugal not in the actual season. They took place a long time ago.I think you have misunderstood me.
Actually, it's first F1 race ever in this track, previously Portugal GP was held in Estoril. BTW, I really like this track with, it looks fun track to dfrive, there is so many elevation points when car goes up and down.

What a strange accident was that between Verstappen and Stroll. Wondering if someone will be penalyst.

Hard to point out who's fault this was. Do they have race accidents in FP ? ;-)
Yeah, we rarely can see such accidents in practice. I think there was both drivers fault. Stroll didn't looked into his mirror and closed the doors for Max. While Max was sure that Stroll won't go for another fast lap and that he will leave space for him.

Ferrari brought the last step of improvement for this year. Its aim only the 2021 car with maybe a small improvement in this year's car.

Keep in mind they can't touch the engine since the regulation is a joke and that is the biggest problem at the moment but the upgrade let the fans hope.

Too bad for Grosjean, things looked very promising at the very beginning with Haas, but that didn't last. The car being a Ferrari copy at first, the fact it dropped quickly in performance illustrates the difficulty of F1 development.

Keep in mind he won many many junior championships, he didn't come out of nowhere.

From what I can find he has no big sponsor/family member bankrolling his career, here are his partners : https://www.romaingrosjean.com/en/partners/

All these new places that weren't there will be such a great addition, probably the only thing that is good about this whole horrible pandemic, normally everything about pandemic has been disturbingly bad, but this new addition of old places will be awesome.

I can't wait for Turkey for example, last time we had Turkey on the schedule Mercedes wasn't this good if I remember correctly, and now with them being this great and Hamilton breaking records over records, it is getting a lot entertaining to see how they will fare with the new places.

Portugal will be a good challenge as well, he already broke the record and he is up there with the bests, that is not a doubt in mind, but will he stop working hard? Will he just race laid back? Or will he continue his dominance? I really don't know but I wouldn't bet on him just this one race tbf.

This weekend we are racing in Portugal F1 and the fun fact about this track is that last four races have been all won by Williams team. They know they can’t repeat another victory under normal conditions so they have posted this in their Instagram page saying that anything can happen and may be we can make it 5 wins in a row although this sounds a lot improbable.

Lolol.  Really?  Since when did Williams look good recently..  I don't know.  I think they're dead and a dead investment.  But if not, they will be changing their team name in the next couple of years.  IMHO.

The F1 race should be an interesting one this weekend. It's an unusual track with some considerable elevation changes across the lap, which brings a new challenge.
It will be new to most drivers as it's never been an F1 race before. However, it's perhaps notable that Hamilton has driven here before (testing for McLaren in 2009), so that may give Ham a slight advantage (not that he needs one)...

I don't know their situation but a lot of players have a seat only because they bring a lot of money as sponsors for the team.
Sometimes the underperforming driver will keep the seat even if is stronger than his teammate.

Happy to see Shumi junior in F1.

Anyway, they have a proposal for next year.

More races is always a great idea. I like it in this period that we got a lot of races in a short time.

Just 2 instead of 3 days wouldn't make that much difference I think. All the drivers are practicing in simulators so they know the tracks well.

@coinlocket$ initially we may not like the changes, but given how covid has effected F1 I feel that these are welcome changes, because it’ll help them survive till this covid crisis ends. Furthermore Shumi Jr has some big shoes to fill as everyone will expect him to race like his father did, and I hope that he can absorb all the pressure and perform brilliantly in F1.

F1 is publicity. You don't need F1 cars to relate to street cars, in practice. It has never really been the case, anyway. But you need F1 to be good publicity, not bad. That's why I'm suggesting "bio" fuels for example.

Thats's correct but i prefer "synthetic" fuel not "bio". To Ferrari the have no commercial car in his portfolio, a Ferrari brand car is unaffordable for a large part of the population and Ferrari is one of the only manufacture there also use the Formula 1 technic in his street cars like LaFerrari with his HY-KERS support the V12 engine. For publicity the Formula is very good for Mercedes and Ferrari when all drive about victorys.

The main problem with F1 today is that cars can't evolve enough. It used to be that cars evolved all the time, manufacturers found all kinds of tricks to go quicker during a season, but most of that has been banned, due to rising costs.

Yes but even now if it is less expensive because the limitation and even from 2021 we will have the "salary" cap, teams are not interest in joining in.
As always Honda will leave next year because according to them "we will already have the tech we wanted from the F1 so we are leaving".

Why new teams should joining in if they don't need the tech?

Porsche is doing great hybrid supercars and they are not in F1 for example.

The powertrain is simply too complicated from Formula 1 and far too expensive for normal cars, Ferrari can afford that in their most expensive cars and customers want something very exclusive and they also demand it. Porsche has had LeMan's experience with hybrids ( LMP1) for years and is also building this into their sports cars, which I think makes sense, and after the development Porsche also leave the LMP1.
