Can you post the rest of the output please? All of the way down until the next command prompt. Unfortunately this wasn't enough to see what's going wrong.

It's curious, but the last line of the output is just this one:
Code:
[2014-03-13 22:34:16] TBF 5a: Init: baud=115200
After the command line without --scrypt, the next command prompt doesn't appear any more.
I've tried again, and waited much more time, but it's the same: it's like the process is interrupted.
Unfortunately I can't give you more info.

Thank you

Hi Nate.
I know you are wicked busy but did you have any idea what I should change on this to make it report correctly?

Hi Nate.
The Avalon still will not show the current hash rate just average.
Code:
--api-listen --log 5 --api-allow W:127.0.0.1,192.168.0.0/24
I am not sure what I need to do.

Unfortunately same as before; this is the new output after deleting the bfgminer.con file:
Code:
bash-3.2$ bfgminer --device ? --scan nanofury:all --scan erupter:all --scan all --scan opencl:auto --scan cpu:auto --scrypt -D
I think this is actually my bad. Please run the above without --scrypt.
Hi Nate,
I ran the command line without --scrypt, and this is the output:
Code:
bash-3.2$ bfgminer --device ? --scan nanofury:all --scan erupter:all --scan all --scan opencl:auto --scan cpu:auto -D

(At the end I don't see, as usual, "bash-3.2$".)

Long-story-short, with the current BFGMiner, --scrypt makes it not scan (some of) your USB devices. This has been addressed (in Git) for the new Scrypt ASICs but is not released yet.

I crossed my streams and released a MultiMiner update that scans with --scrypt, meaning USB ASICs won't be detected unless you are using a PR of BFGMiner or building from Git.

Smells like another hotfix  Shocked

Edit: can you give this a try please? Pretty sure this only affects Mac users but would like to get a hotfix out either way:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/kin4rvvewoceb83/MultiMiner-2.7.10.app.zip
I gave it a try, but unfortunately the same as before: after scanning for hardware, no devices is detected.
I thought that you had a Mac Pro like me, and that you could test MultiMiner with it, but I was wrong.
At the moment I can mine only with command line via Terminal.
Thanks anyway!  Wink

EVERYTHING YOU CAN IMAGINE IS REAL
I was experiencing crashes after a few hours with 2.7.5 -> 2.7.7 on windows 7
I downgraded my .Net install from version 4.5.1 to 4.5 and it's stable now.
hope this helps.

I don't have that folder.  I downgraded to 2.4, and it's not crashing in 2.4 - just the newer versions - such as 2.7.7.  Doesn't seem to be a BFGminer issue.

That reply was to a different user.

It's not a MultiMiner issue if BFGMiner is crashing - that's a BFGMiner issue. 2.7.7 is probably passing in different arguments than 2.4. Try doing some trial-and-error (using the Process Log) to figure out which argument is causing the error and report that to the BFGMiner thread. Thanks!

It's just simpler to use 2.4 and hope it's fixed in the new BFGMiner update that they're working on.

BFGminer's crashing on me again.  Any idea what's causing it?  I did just fire up a S1.  I'm sending it's output to the Stratum server, rather than using the remote feature.  I'd rather do that because it allows me to set pools for failover for this exact reason.

EVERYTHING YOU CAN IMAGINE IS REAL
Nate FTW!

With the MobileMiner Pools API implementation, will we see updates for native mobile apps soon?

Keep up the great work Nate, I'll be providing feedback here and on http://talk.multiminerapp.com/ as per usual.

Version 2.8.0 PR2 (preview / pre-release) is now available for testing. I will be releasing this in a few hours / days barring any negative feedback.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/lh4qwxqi0gs9vxt/MultiMiner-2.8.0.zip

  • Official support for 1-chip and 5-chip GridSeed ASICs
  • Notifications are now displayed when Auto-Mining switches to new coins
  • When minimized to the system tray, an interactive balloon tip is displayed for in-app notifications
  • Coins that fall below strategy configurations are no longer suggested for mining
  • Improved overall performance
  • Coin difficulty is read directly from the network once mining begins
  • Worker temperatures are shown for Network Devices and the Stratum Proxy
  • Added the option to Copy / Clone an existing configuration in the Configure Coins dialog
  • Added support for the MobileMiner Pools API, allowing switching coins from smart phones and browsers
  • Added the option to save coin configurations to all rigs via MultiMiner Remoting
  • Customized names for machines and devices are now pushed to MobileMiner

Note that GridSeed support requires BFGMiner 4.0 which is not out yet. If you are running Windows you can try a PR of the BFGMiner GridSeed support here:

You can view the contents of the Python script here to check for any other URLs or domains:

https://github.com/Axadiw/CGMinerMobileAdapter/blob/master/CGMinerMobileAdapter.py

It's Open Source so you can read everything it is doing and sending and to whom.

As for bandwidth usage I can confirm this and already talked to the author about it. Make sure you are using his latest version from Git. It submits statistics far less frequently.
