Well, what you're saying is very intelligent, I never thought that way. That may be intelligent then to save, but with people with little rigs like me (210 H/s), taking a drop of value would kill like a week of mining and would not be very good for my monthly balance. What I'll do is maybe to dedicate a R9 380 to mining ZCash to my Poloniex account, since the other ones are mining to my Bittrex account, with auto-sell enabled.

Have you checked if auto-sell is profitable for you ?
It looks like this interesting feature always sell at a lower price that the one you would expect.

No, checked nothing. Heck, if I earn 10% less, I don't care. That's such a peace of mind you know. At least now I don't constantly check altcoins' prices. I even forgot my rigs at some moments Wink !

For the debate of today, to speak in W/H, I'm at 1. However, if I consider only my two RX 470, I'm at a blazing 0,72. However, that does only count the cards, so that might be less accurate, but that still gives an idea of how it is performing.

since the BTC is trending up now, why not sell your hash at Nicehash and get BTC rightway?

That would be my dream you know, but on my Nvidia miner it doesn't work so forget about it and on my AMD rig, my main rig, I never went long enough in the analyse. It always crashed, but never took time to just see what the error is (because I have one screen for the two miners, and the VGA cable is going from on to another, and it always crashed when it was on the other rig). I'll think about that tomorrow Wink !

Thank you for the informations.

Is there a reason why you don't put more Rigs to this NH multi algo miner ?

Citronick, you are close to the question I wanted to ask : do anyone tried recently the nicehash software to sell hashrate for BTC ?
If I understood correctly , Nicehash choose for you which alt is more profitable to mine .
Is it working well ? do they pay fairly ? and is their software powerfull enough to compete with our good old claymore ?

IMHO, I think you get fair payouts above market price - I have one rig on this setup, and I see it switching between Equihash, Dagger-Hasimotto and LyraRev2 algos frequently.

Alternatively, you can also use Claymore Zcash miner to hash into "stratum+tcp://equihash.usa.nicehash.com:3357" with -allpools 1 setting to sell only Zcash hash. But this may not be the most profitable since many miners have jumped into the bandwagon in mining ZEC. Using the NH Windows multi-algo miner IMHO is best and easiest to deploy, and get BTC directly.

Blockchain Just Entered The Real World
Just Redid my settings and came out better:

1015 H/s
7 MSI RX470s
968 Watts at the wall
68 ave Watts (MSI Afterburner)
57C ave GPU Temp (MSI Afterburner)
49C CPU Temp
1500 Strap
MSI Afterburner settings: 1950 Memory Clock, 1200 Core Clock

My main goal is profitability = W/Hs (less is better)
Previously I was at .97 W/Hs
I am now at .95 W/Hs

To Undervolt I would loose efficiency and hashrate.  I also get more Hs and no Errors/Rejects!  Very Stable as well.

excellent results AriesIV10 - juts confirmed my thoughts on the next rig using RX470 using your GPU rack chassis.
Also 1300 w PSU for this rig should be more than enough and within safe operations.

That is better than my underclocked 6xR9 390. My rig power is 1000W on the wall, and the hash is just 965H/s.

So what is best watt to H/s

I see some are doing about .97 watts to H/s.

My numbers on the new biostar with 3 rx 470s are stupid good.

299 watts for 375 H/s. Now it is a seasonic titanium but my numbers seem too good. Measured with a kwatt meter so 299 is whole rig.

It is late and I am tired I will reconfirm these results tomorrow.

Seems too good it would be .799 watts per H/s

24 hours after v6 - in the farm of 30 rigs, this rig "CK11" came up tops beating even 6xGPU rigs.
v7 will surely push this beyond 1000 H/s.

I have stopped doing 6 x GPU rigs, and standardized on 4 x GPUs and moving away from PCI-USB risers.

Since Phil's recommendation on Biostar Z170 Racing, I have my 5th rig based on the mobo - very pleased with outcome and minimal issues. Overall rig cost makeup is also lower due to lower watts PSU and M2 SSD. Even the power switch is done away with because of the on-board power/reset built in into mobo.

So, you have eliminated the expense of risers and power switches and gained the M.2(I love these).  Are there heat issues with the gpu's so close together?

Would that offset the cost of the power of the motherboard power usage?  Ex.  I can get 6 or 7 gpu's for 1 motherboard.  1 motherboard is xx Watts spread over the revenue of 6 gpu's rather than 4 gpu's.

Phil's favorite Z170 board is on sale/rebate for ~$100.  With the current slide in price, I'm having a hard time convincing myself to keep investing in more mining equipment.  Anyone else still expanding operations?

Wow Aries that is very interesting! So, it looks like you got +30 h/r (with only +13W) just from changing clock speed from 1150 to 1200?

And am I to understand that you have eliminated under-volting altogether on this rig?  If so, was the under-volting reducing your h/r?

Overall, did you see any wattage or temp increase vs v5?  Also, are you leaving your v6 at the default "i 4"?  Did you experiment with the different intensity levels at all?  Curious to know what h/r & wattage difference intensity makes in this version.

Good Questions:

I only underplot if the mV in the P7 is over 1000.  If they are over 1000 i will use the voltage offset (x6.25mV) to get it down to 1000.  This is usually with GPUs that are under 73% efficiency.

The if I undervolt, there will be a change in the watts, but not in Hs or temp.

I am leaving the default "-i 4" as is.  I did not experiment with any others.

Thanks for the questions.  If you want to see this unit, see:  https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/gpu-mining-rig-eth-zec-6-or-7-gpu-1676763

so -i 4 works best?

Latest version v6.0:

- improved speed by about 20-25% (depends on card model). About 180H/s on stock 390.
- "-i" parameter values are 0...4 now, default value is "-i 4".
- fixed issue with mixed cards.

Seems to work for me.  I did not test -i 0-3, but I can't look a gift horse in the mouth.  hahaha

With my testing -I 2-4 there isn't any difference same speed same CPU usage

no everything on risers ! (16x and 1x , all set to gen1 in bios)

It might be bandwidth limited.  Can you bump it to gen2?

I'm going to try !

edit : no luck with gen2 , still close to 150h/s
