Just wanted to check its not going to be a problem.

It's an HD wallet so all the old addresses are completely valid and will always be valid with the same seed. I use old addresses on there quite often and it all goes fine. It'll combine outputs from the old address with any other ones if you've received on other addresses.

If you want to check, not that you need to, click on accounts and then sign message and it'll show you all your addresses.
Excellent, I thought that'd be the case.   Ideally I want to shift all the BTC into a new address to get the cheapest transaction fee possible when sending priority, this is because I need it to clear fast for a price fix.   But the actual consolidation doesn't have to be fast, I sent something economy the other day and it took a few hours to confirm which is fine.

Does the wallet have a certain method to consolidate separate accounts and keys into one balance that would then go more cheaply then any address that has multiple in/out transactions on it.   I would guess this isnt possible as it has to be cleared via the blockchain which is another fee but if it has these multiple addresses anyway is it possible to clean it up a bit perhaps.

I should already know this but I've been using alt coins for years with block time under a minute and a penny cost.  However the non crypto company I deal with now prefers I send from a BTC private wallet only, to the point where its a bad price if I dont so its worth me finding out the cheapest method for the future.

What possible demand would there be if they were put on an exchange?

These tokens are pretty much the definition of worthless and always were.

They really threw away alot of good will with them.

What about the MT tokens?  scammed?

I do not understand how some whales do not agree to launch this token in an exchange. There must be people who have put a lot of money and have lost it to this day.

I dont understand the addresses system on mycelium app. Every time you send funds to mycelium your address is different? First you send funds to one address and then when you cash out the dust stays in mycelium app but when you check in blockchain explorer the amount iz zero on that address but in the app you can see like 0.00002 btc. Where is that stored? And why there cant be all the time the same address?
A legendary account that doesn't know about deterministic wallets... or how bitcoin change works? Roll Eyes

You might like to read here: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Deterministic_wallet
and here: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Change

any maybe do some research into bitcoin change addresses... find the "change address" from the transaction that generates the dust and put that into blockchain explorer, you'll see it. Mycelium (and most other deterministic wallets "hide" these addresses from the user)

You can continue to use old addresses if you want, the coins will still appear in your wallet... HD wallets just like to generate new addresses for each transaction to prevent address re-use to help increase privacy: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Address_reuse

That's the way HD wallets work. For a bit of privacy and security you get a new address generated every time you receive to the last address in the hierarchy sequence.

I'm not sure why you are seeing a balance in an address in the wallet and not in explorer. Are you sure it is in that address, or is it in the wallet? The wallet also sends change to a different address as well. So, that dust might have been change sent to a different address.

You can use the tool to list all the keys that your Mnemonic words generate

https://iancoleman.io/bip39/

I expect one of those addresses will be where your dust is, and you will also see it on the block explorer in that address.

I know this is likely a kind of a dumb question, but can anyone put my mind at rest if you know exactly.   I cant alter my details entered for bitcoin address to use from mycelium that I've previously used and received funds on, so I need to keep using that address as its registered a few places.
However mycelium itself no longer displays that address, its showing my address to give out as something different.   Its not the first time Ive seen this system and I know maybe some security is increased by them altering my address for me, but I do still have the ability to receive on my old address from October right?   Just wanted to check its not going to be a problem.

I will of course sift this thread for similar queries / answers.   I presume its fine just its not exactly smart to presume and not double check

Anyone who wants the benefits of SegWit could use Samourai instead.

Samourai is an alpha-test version. I don't even do beta testing.

SegWit is not coming soon, that's for sure. (If only I can find the Reddit post). For the moment, It's not their priority. Anyone who wants the benefits of SegWit could use Samourai instead.

Any ETA for segwit on Mycelium?

Or is Mycelium going to stagnate now?

Didn't somebody here state recently that they are working on SegWit?

I wouldn't like to lose Mycelium. It has advantages over other Android wallets, the Mycelium Marketplace, the Coinapult connection, etc. I also like its user interface, which beats Electrum and Coinomi easily.

Can the devs update the version available for direct download from the website?

https://wallet.mycelium.com/download/apk/mbw-prodnet-release-2.8.5build28500.apk

It's still at version 2.8.5 while the play store has version 2.9.7 available.

I've imported an old single address private key from my old mycelium wallet to the latest client. I want to enable PIN encryption on it but can't see how to do it. Is this still possible and if so how is it activated?
You can. There are 3 small squares at the upper right corner click then select settings and find the "set PIN code." You have an option to require a PIN when starting your Mycelium rather than just sending coins, exporting private keys and changing PIN for improved security.

It's the Trezor devs who broke it so it's their job to repair it too. I'm sure a lot of their customers use it.
I believe they are using Trezor API as every other service that has it integrated. Technically, If the problem is from Trezor, Electrum and other wallets should be affected as well but I don't see that case.
Mycelium needs a segwit update! And a clean UI without all the ads, as it was some time ago.
