Ways to prevent POS Cash & bank account transfer theft

Happy sunday guys! I no mean to derail the thread in anyway. Na wetin happen for my area yesterday na im come make me say make I bring am come here since na one of the fasted growing business for our country wey don help create a lot of jobs and help many businesses. I dey my house jeje dey relax na im I hear people dey shout thief! Thief! Catch am! Na im i say make I come out come see wetin dey happen. As I come out, na im I come see crowd , I say make I stroll go see wetin dey happen... As I reach there na im I see one guy wey sidon for ground with swollen face with people around am. According to the POS operator, the guy and him friend come her POS stand say dem want withdrawal 2k. As she give the guy the POS to enter him Pin she been dey distracted, she no really know wetin the guy dey do because him don take more than the time to input him pin, she come ask am wetin be the problem, the guy say the POS get network problem. She collect am look the screen, switch am off and on again. Enter her password to initiate the transaction the POS machine no gree recognize the password, she come ask the guy wetin the guy do to the machine the guy say nothing, as she come dey scream, the guy friend come runaway na im the guy too want run before dem come catch. As dem come dey touch am hand him come dey confess say him only reset the machine pin but e no do anything, so dem come call police for the guy police come carry am waka.

As Oyinbo people dey talk say every good thing get him own bad side. We know say the POS business dey help well well but some people dey use am dey thief na im make I come up with this little ways to minimize POS cash theft and bank account related frauds.

- No dey think too much or dey in a hurry go forget your card with a POS operator.
- When you give your card to a POS operator, always watch the person because if you loosegard dem go just snap your card, use the details collect money from your account.
- If you're an operator, always confirm say the money don drop before releasing the cash to the person wey come to do transfer to you cuz boiz dey do fake transfer.
- Leave a small amount of money for account wey you dey use for card transactions.
- Whenever you lost or dem thief your phone wey dey link to your bank account. Quickly call your service provider to block your line. After go do welcome back because if you delay dem fit empty your bank account if your sim fall into the wrong hands.
- No save your sensitive bank details on your phone like your pin and card information.
- No give your phone to person wey you no no or strangers.

If you ask me ehh, I go talk say this year INEC go dey fair for presidential election but you dey see the other ones wey nobody dey reason. The kind rigging wey go dey there ehh, only God knows. INEC know say eye dey this presidential election so them go commot hand make the world no judges them than focused energy on cashing out from other smaller position wey people go wan buy. Anybody wey win this election, go be people choice and I no just mean social media choices I mean those we get PVC and go comot their unit come vote.

Anybody wey wan win this election go need hustle for grass root, leave social media as na youths wey go just deceive you full there. On that day self dem go focus for another thing leave the vote wey dem supposed go vote. I no say make you leave the youth entirely but focused on those wey dey come unit and not online ones. We get many online voters wey he say if them been gree go get PVC come unit then for make great change for the outcome of elections but them prefer to hide behind the social platforms the air their views.

I don stop to use wallet since after when wallet lose my i.d cards and my money,omo the thing vex me bcos na important i.d cards,after that day till now I no dey use wallet. All the people wey no dey use wallet follow dey squeeze the naira,sometimes if we collect our balance of wetin we buy bcos say we dey rush,we go just put am straight inside our pocket anyhow.

Market women na dem own worst pass,but I no think say the one wet dey this picture na dat day e turn like dat. The money even look like counterfeit self. E-naira na dead,u no fit use am compare crypto,e no reach

Make I no lie I no remember the last time I use a wallet, I don't fancy it, if you look the way this market women they handle money my brother you go fear, some of them na inside bra them they put am, we have made it a culture to they handle money anyhow, if you look am self market women no get time oh their body they always hot, I think we need to start changing our mentality about our to handle money sha. for this country he no go easy.

No currency 4 dis world wey no dey dirty or get squeezed but d authenticity of d currency fit withstand more time. But e no bad reach make naija currency be like dis 4 just a day, na lie dem dey like, na mischief makers do am like dat, no be d currency weak reach so. See, conditions dey wey u go subject dis currency to wey go make am look liks dis. Dem fit do am so to get public attention, which fit send traffic to their website with other benefit wey fit follow.

No dey believe every u see 4 internet, bad belle people plenty!

That one no be big matter oo my brother. Squeezing of money for naija na normal tin for market people besides even if them dy use wallet sef d money no fit contain am all, so make them dey drop am for where go better pass but make dem dey handle the naira more gently. Even me wey no dey market no dey fancy wallet again after wetin don happen to me in d past with am, I lost all my money I kept in d wallet, cards and other important things. Since then na my pocket I dey put tins direct come split them to different pockets to avoid total loss of everything. I no blame people wey no dey use wallet at all.

Na the problem wey we dey get be dat, provided this Naira dey available to market traders, it can never be in a clean form. Them go surely use squeezing turn this new money into the ood ones. Dem go squeeze this tie and die wey dey use for this new design comot for e body. But though una think say this one follow for one our naira dey devalued? E no matter the form wey money dey, e go still dey accepted so this one no for be problem.

This Market women dey find the safety way to safe their money and the use of wallets fit dey at risk to dem losing it as we get money snatchers wey full market. That money wey dem squeeze so put for pocket, e go hard before any money snatcher fit reach am but you see that wan wey dey wallet, otilo. Wetin me for suggest na for banks to get ironing machines wey for fit they straighten the money when them enter banks or take them out of circulation and introduce new ones instead of banks returning those squeeze money to us.

IMO, it is not because of awareness that the e-naira is not popular, people know about the e-naira and know also that the benefits do not outweigh that of cryptocurrency. It is still not the number one choice for people when the two options are presented. If the government is to convince the youth to begin and adopt to usage of the e-naira, it must be able to outline the benefits that it has without comparing it to cryptocurrency. Making a comparison to know the better between cryptocurrency and the e-naira will be a lost battle for CBDC's for the well informed youths.

If wetin ur president say he will bring it to pass, I guess this next year general election will be the best election we have never experience because dey are working to ensure the citizens of Nigerian deserve to have a good president that will revive the country in all areas. Burning of INEC in some part of East will not change the mind of the government not to give people free and fair election come 2023, because that is what every citizens want at this time.

By di way for the e-naira cashless issue can never be compared to cryptocurrency in Nigeria, when the woman been dey tok I just dey look her and listen to her. If na really dem want Nigeria youth to use e-naira massively, they know want to do. Di youth will on their own will use di e-naira to develop a nd do things in the country but if they don't know what to do then the opposite is the case.

Cryptocurrency will still kill cashless policy in Nigeria

The e-naira is not enough with the features most of these youths need. We that already have an exposure to crypto will find using the e-naira as time wasting.
The awareness should be more directed at business owners who have specific clientele or affiliates. From here other businesses can introduce the ease of trasacting using e-naira. The customers like me who visit such places to buy what I want will be forced to transact by using the e-naira as well.

Na the prayer wey dey many people lips right now. As onto recently news just dey fly every where about burning of INEC offices, we hope this one no go discourage the fairness as PMB talk.

Cashless policy awareness and Cryptocurrency in Nigeria.

I was watching Kakaki AIT yesterday morning and Economy  experts were saying some the reasons why the e-naira (cashless policy) is not working and how to achieve the purpose of the cashless policy agenda. According to she, federal government should provide an awareness campaign for the e-naira. She again, because of of no awareness given to the youth that is why they are using cryptocurrency more than the e-naira. Though I didn't listen the program to the end because of light failure. So if you have an idea on the matter you can put mouth.

Our Nija people no get joy at all, them no even value the new naira note because dem see say too much difference no de from d former one, and some people still de vex say dem go lose mini because dem still de hold d former notes.
I neva see d new note sha, but as people talk am I can't wait to see am.

 D issue of naira notes being squeezed no sopoz shock you since no be now e start and I no tink say e go end with dis one.

You start your statement very well and later spoil am by attaching politics. E dey funny how you people believe youths can make this our country better. My departmental financial secretary just got suspended this week for embezzling department money. The guy na between the age of 20-25 years ooo department wey no dey get money reach 500k   so imagine this type of youths in a larger society or been given any opportunity to serve in a public office. The earlier we realize that age is never the problem, the better for us oooo na individual mindset and not by age. Nigerian youths never dey ready to the task. Make we no deceive ourselves bro. What we need is an elder with integrity and dedication not an overhype youth.

I will urge you all to send him a congratulatory birthday message and wishes to him. Please help us remind him he is 80 years of age and we would want him to tell his successor to relax both of them are of age that we naija youths we are tired of our grandpa's still occupying the exalted office of the nation with no progress only ancient ideology brought to play in this modern dispensation. We need young vibrant youth to take the lead this time as we draw close to our forth coming general election 2023.

@ Davidvictorson, you dom talk wetin sweet my belle and I believe say na only that thing wey matter for the new Naira note wey don dey in circulation for our country. Even though the redesign note no achieve 50% of it's goal make e for get like 30% our economy go get small shape because if our economy no dey ok the gap between the naira and the dollar no go feet reduce rather we go experience high increase in the dollar rate. As at today when I been check the price of $1 is still 750 so if we wait for 3 or 4 months nothing dom change that means the aim of redesigning our currency is achieved.
