Cool but this was going to happen anyway even if there were no tokens. Some whales would have bought 10 million early after the launch

Check this and you will see that sharkfund0's big volume is really caused by 1 shark moving fund from 1 account to another to artificially inflate the volume. I don't want to say that's shady but you don't deny that NEmstak is the biggest, most important trading asset in Nxt AE by far.

This might be true. All Jl77 assets seem hot air to me.

However, once Nxt has bitcoin and US dollars assets with trusted gateways those will take largest volume pretty fast.

NxtHaus is supposed to be US dollars asset, which is coming up soon

YES. Anyway this has to be qualify and Eadeqa could say it is just semantics. A person could be a developer, an user and an investor or all of them. I appreciate the "developer" and "user" part but not the "investor" part. Why? from legal perspective an investor is one who put money in a certain entity and expect others to do the works to produce some returns on the initial investment. So on that definition one additional investor will weaken the network's capacity by one person. One additional user/ helper will strengthen the network's capacity by one person. So it could be said that active investors (= stakeholders) are helpful (and I like) but passive investor is really bad for NEM (I don't care about these).

I think I understand what you mean. Its better to have people commenting here that are more interested in helping the actual project than making a quick buck, that makes sense.

As far as the effect of "investors" is concerned, in my opinion, all types of activity are good for a coin, even the day traders. As with any currency, each transaction strengthens its significance in the universe. Granted its not a cryptocurrency yet and just a stake but the lines are already pretty blurry.

I think a good investor does do work -- the research of figuring out where to invest.

A bad investor just throws money around. This still should be considered a good thing for startups, IPOs, etc.

UP can you tell me how NEM's POI forging algorithm will be able to determine one node to be more "important" than the other? What characteristics will we see with the most dominant forgers?

It will be explained close to the open alpha release. Makoto will talk more about it.

Excited to hear about it. My personal view is still to make it completely open source where everybody can follow. Even if somebody tries to clone it, the big community, goodwill and the head start means this should win out.

No I don't care for investors.

You do realize that everybody who exchanged anything of value for a NEM stake is an investor, right?

@Strapon.  Go to the next fora, make an account and explain your situation.  Post your nxt account and hope for the best.  Don't forget there are still some really big whales who did a trick or two in the past when it came to sometimes larger donations

There has to be someone somewhere that knows how to get those returned...right? Utopianfuture? Anyone? Pleeeeaaaseee?!?!

You could ask UP to make an exception for you and send you 0.X NEMtokens, because you clearly destroyed those NXT. Its like Proof of burn.

Would be a nice gesture of the NEM community to a newbie!

What kind of suggestion is that? NEMtokens are not mine to reward, or make an exception. Everyone of them will be accountable by someone.

@strapon: the cold-hard truth is that you lost your Nxt. I hardly see how it is related to me, especially in an official capacity. There are only two sides that should take the blame. One is yourself and the second is perhaps the Nxt address format.

In this case address format isn't the issue, as the same would have happened with BTC if he sent it to correctly typed but wrong address.

Is is in this case, it is fairly difficult to accidentally send to a wrong address in Bitcoin that no one owns. Nxt had to move to Reed Salomon address for that reason.

@strapon Do you know what "investor" mean ? I care about developers, users, volunteers, helpers etc. but not "investors". That's my stand from day 1. It is not about you personally.

Add: You should know that the reply is not directed to you neither. That is to TwinWinNerD in a very general sense. I am dealing with a lot of complaints, lost accounts, lost tokens etc. Before you there were two cases of losing password to accounts, 1 case of PM a wrong address and 1 case of account getting hacked and token being moved out.

I meant that you can send him some compensation from any "promotional" funds you have for NEM. Would be good publicity that you care for the small investor.

Maybe its just my opinion!

@utopianfuture F you. Yes, I screwed up. I admitted that and didn't expect a handout. No reason for you to be a prick about it. I was excited to see NEM work, as exhibited by me trying to obtain a portion of a token, so for you to say you don't care about anyone with that excitement makes you a dick. Why try to be a leader on here if you don't care about anyone. Eat ass dude.
