If everything goes well after the upcoming hardfork, Ethereum is going to take the first place away from BTC. Not directly but within the next several years for sure. And NEO will be in top 3 crypto currencies and will replace XRP without any doubt. The only question is when this all is going to happen.

I think ETH can achieve worldwide acceptance. ETH's popularity is high so I think the next generation of Ethan's popularity may be more popular in the world. Now the demand for Ether is much higher than other coins such as ETH, NEO and Bitcoin. Competition is much more, but I think there is a lot more acceptable to Ether globally.

For me, these coins are one of the promising tools as an investment. I prefer to keep both coins in my briefcase. This means that I believe in the future of NEO and ETH with the same enthusiasm.

NEO has nothing to do with ETHEREUM, by just looking at its name, we can say ethereum is much more acceptable world wide as it has more benegfits in compared to NEO with low market.

It all depends what do you mean to be accepted worldwide, like fiat or like a method of payment?
NEO is more for Asian countries and ETH more for Western countries. It's hard to assume that any of those will be a global one, except bitcoin.
However, ETH is way more recognized currently than NEO.

Both of the am are very good as platform. But at this moment ethereum is the most popular and most used chain. Most of the icos are based on ethereum. In other hand neo also have some good project in their platform. Maybe ethereum is the most popular platform token among all platform token but neo is technically better than ethereum. Neo have some great features like no txn fees, if you hold neo then it will give some neo gas token. And it is faster than ethereum in terms . if I have to chose one of them I will go for the neo.
