You know, modern kids have so much toys, possibilities and ways to spend time than we had in our childhood, that it is wrong to compare how we were raised and how they are. They lose interest to things quickly, as there are lots of other things to do. Even if we gamble in front of them, they will not pay much attention to it, but switch to other. Specially of we repeat gambling few times. They are so much into something new, that they rarely remember things around. They have like million video or video games to play, thousands of toys, so that if they see us gamble, they will lose interest to it quickly and switch to what is popular among their generation now.

What moral lesson is a father showing the children when he's gambling in front to f the children, they may not talk now but the memory of it all stick to their brain and they often remember sometimes in their closet we have to develope an attitude of caution and be disciplined in whatever thing we are doing, children should be restricted to some certain level of exposure, do that they can be engage in doing what os write as part of their decision in life, not that parents should constitute more danger to them
Nothing of course. He is only showing how irresponsible he is as a father. Once a kid sees it, they can get curious and talk that matter to their father. It's only up to the father if he will tell the truth and explain that they shouldn't get involved with it as early as possible or not and help them instead cure their curiosity by teaching them to play gambling. If he do, he only prove that he is really an irresponsible father.

I know what you are feeling man. Maybe you are a good father to your kids but we can't just force every father to be like us. If we try to, they are the ones who will get angry. But maybe they also realize their mistakes and regret sometimes.

I agree with you, this kind of stuff is very common on the internet even vloggers are promoting it. So no matter how much we take double care for children, they still can't avoid knowing it, so it's better to give them an idea of how harmful it is to children so that they think twice about whether they want to try it.

It's just like my brother, he's too absorbed in his phone and computer then one day he asked me how to play that kind of gambling because he often sees it on the internet I just told him to avoid watching it because it's not good for their age, too much it is dangerous and can ruin your life. I also added that he sees me gambling and he replied that he doesn't even one.
I'm also my brother's idol so I said that too and he got what I meant.

It's quite alarming that there seems to be little to no safe space for kids now on the Internet. But oh well, it's also expected given the fact that most things on the Internet are hardly monitored and detected by the system. Some manages to not be detected by the community rules and guidelines, and some are just outright permitted because it's not totally harmful, just not advisable for kids but permitted for people at the right age or adults.

So what's best to do is to monitor and supervise your kids or siblings whenever they are browsing the Internet. This way, you can check their frequently watched and visited sites wherein you can guide them and teach them what's advisable to watch and what are not allowed for them to browse because it can be of danger to them or alter their perspective at a young age. Vloggers who are promoting gambling are anywhere on Youtube and other streaming platforms so do your responsibility as an adult to tell them the repercussions of engaging in such so they will avoid interacting with it.

I agree with OP, we should not let the kids see what we are doing especially if those things are for the right age. My kid just recently asked me this, "Dad, what is porn?" I asked him where he heard it, but he won't answer me anything. I know it didn't come from me and I bet he caught it from the Youtube sensations who are not even thinking on what they will say even though they know there are kids watching their clips.
Imagine that, just one word from the television and they would start to get curious about it. What more if they are watching us gamble? They would definitely be curious about it and there might be a time they will bump on the same game that we are playing due to advertisements, and they will easily have the idea on how the game goes.

I don't prefer anyone to gambling in front children's. If your children's are too much little they don't understand anything then you can gamble in front of them but they are enough eligible understand what is gamble and what is happening with that so I will prefer that keep your children away from gamble. The age of 15 to 18 children try to do something his own. If you are a gambler and your children age is 15 to 18 don't do gamble in front of them because they try to understand what are you doing and where will try it alone. Gambling is a easiest way to make money if someone can understand what is gambling you will sure try to make money with it. If your child try to do gamble they don't know how to money management. That's the reason don't gamble in front of your children because they watch you and they will try to learn that will harmful for your economy because they can't make profit easily because they don't know how to do gamble.

Also, my kid saw I play crash games. For the kids, this is just a flying rocket and changing numbers. Whole game is boring. Lego, toys, creating something from paper, coloring, ipad having fun outside takes all the time and is more interesting.

Most important - I can always say stop to gambling with friends, or put everything on pause and go play with kids. Maybe that is why they are not interesting in gambling, but rather spend time with me doing something.

One thing you need to remember is that each child's interests are different. Some children is getting bored easily when playing with objects and toys in front of them, and more interested in what their parents are doing. If your child is not interested in watching gambling games such as poker, crash games or slots that you play, of course bringing other children to play could be a solution. But, if he is more interested in gadgets or what his father is doing, then it is impossible for him to be more interested in toys.

but if you pause or stop when the child is coming to you, then that is the same as hiding from the child, according to the concept of what @OP said, but if he is keep paying attention to your activities, then that is no longer a solution even if you are carrying several children. If, giving gadgets to children is not a problem, maybe this can divert their attention when they are bored playing with the toys in front of them.

Like it or not, with easy access to internet and its affordability, it is really hard to limit kids from anything. You can never gamble in front of your kids, but they will find more about gambling if you gamble online and you use same wifi. Those ads will appear most likely on kids devices while watching youtube. One click on catchy picture of video (clickbait) and they are into gambling industry without you even knowing that. Limiting gadgets is not a solution either.
Yes, that's right, that's how the algorithm works, where you use the same wifi when we type to search for a gambling site and start gambling, it will definitely display any gambling advertisements on social media or other platforms that can be accessed by our children's cellphones, after all, the gambling activities we do are not can be hidden and what's more, there are lots of gambling advertisements currently circulating on the internet, making it easy for anyone to access them easily for free.

Cheap internet costs make it easier for anyone to access gambling sites, that's why I never forbid my child from asking questions so that when he asks about gambling advertisements I can explain correctly that gambling is a site that should not be accessed by minors and is very dangerous. if accessed.

In this scenario, monitoring the activities of their kids is a must. Ads online cannot be easily stopped, however, methods such as checking where gambling ads can be broadcast, being aware of what the kids are watching, talking openly with your kids about what they are interested in, and blocking gambling ads can help to prevent the kids to expose in gambling.

There are different options to prevent kids from knowing gambling, we just have to take action. Limiting the use of gadgets can be a solution, it can really help and also for them to have the opportunity to do different activities. We just have to remember that there's always a way if we really want to.

Dont you find it strange to use "dont gamble because they will grow up addicted", and on the other hand fathers show their sons how to use hammer, saw and other dangerous tools.
Kids are known to easily get attached to anything they see or hear so not even only gambling but we should always be cautious of the kind of things we do or say in front of the kids, so just like you said we should always avoid gambling discussion on the presence of our kids because they could easily be influenced by deciding to try it out and if they do it will be very bad on what the outcome will become because as a kids they are vulnerable to become an addict if tried gambling and from there stopping the gambling will be very difficult to stop so is very good to be mindful of the things we say about gambling in front of our kids.
That is why we must be careful and not show gambling activities with our friends in front of our children. If we want to gamble with friends, we can leave the house and tell the children to stay home so they don't know what we are doing. Children who see adults gambling will be susceptible to following suit, especially if they have lots of friends so they can also try gambling with their friends. Maybe they play gambling carelessly because they are still children but once they grow up, they will understand how to play real gambling. And when they are adults, they can gamble more often, even more than their parents so that they will be more susceptible to gambling addiction.

As much as possible then it would really be just that better  that you shouldnt really be letting your kids do able to see you on doing gambling thing and with having the easy access nowadays then it would really be that impossible that you could really be having that complete tracking on whatever your kids is been doing knowing that they do have their own mobile phones or pc's on which they could really be able to access on sites whatever they want on which as a parent then we cant really be perfectly be able to monitor our children about it. This is why it would really be that just good that you should really be telling them and made them realize that gambling isnt something that young mind would really be dealing with or something that tells that you should really be that careful on dealing with it or else then you would really be that becoming that addicted.

As much as possible then we should really be doing gambling in secret. Make your kids be that able to realize on whats the risks about gambling
on which you wont really be needing on trying out to chase up your children and telling them about things.

Kids copy their parents, but not always they grow up like their parents. If they see you gamble, of course they will try gambling also, but it does not mean that they will grow up into gamblers, or would gamble at early as age as much as you gamble as an adult.

Dont you find it strange to use "dont gamble because they will grow up addicted", and on the other hand fathers show their sons how to use hammer, saw and other dangerous tools. They call kids for help. And mothers or grandmas call girls for help while cooking, they allow them use sharp knifes to help to cut food. Or call them to help to clean house. And when kids grow up, they still prefer to call for  a specialist to clean, cook or fix something? Why dont the rule "he will watch and become addicted or will repeat" work in this case ?

Sometimes I also think like that when we have taken care of our gambling activities not to gamble in front of our children but they will find out by themselves through any social media advertisements and we as parents will feel like we have failed in educating our children to become good young people but even so If this worry occurs, we can still do various things that some people here have said to limit our child from playing on his cell phone and monitor every behavior he does.
Some other suggestions that I have read here are that we can apply a social media filter for minors so that gambling advertisements or advertisements outside the limits of small children will not appear on the cellphone and this way it seems to make more sense and we as parents can be a little more comfortable with this way.
Completely monitoring their activities on the past could have been possible but this is not the case anymore, and since this is the case another approach needs to be taken.

The best thing parents can do now is to prepare their kids so they can take the right decision on their own, and the best way to do this early on is sitting down with them and explain the math behind the games and how they cannot win on the long term, this will discourage them to gamble as they will have a realistic view of what to expect and they will decide to use their money in something else.
As parents, they should monitor their children so that they do not do things that are not normal for them to do before they enter adulthood, because for those who are still children, of course they do not yet fully know which things are good and which are bad, if they do things. which is not good before they understand it of course they will not be able to control themselves and this is not very good for themselves and their parents. Teaching children things that are more useful will certainly make them ready to face various conditions and they can use their money for other needs such as making investments so that they can avoid things that make them lose their money.

Kids will be busy for whole evening and wont even come to table to look what you are doing.

At first glance this seems like it will work, but what about the parents' activities? playing cards? gambling online? Even though other gamblers bring their children, I am sure that the child will still pay attention to his parents, and then sometimes he will approach his parents just for ask something or come because he is curious about his parents' activities. There is a time where children get bored playing with other, if it happens will definitely cane be a times when the child will start to disturb their parents who are playing cards or gambling in other ways. and it will possible he will seeing his parents playing gamble.

Except that the father is serious in chasing away the child to meet up with other children to play with them, the children always do come back to have look on what the father is doing with the phone getting busy with it. Children that reach a certain age want to follow in everything the father do and this is difficult not allowing them with you because they will cry. If the father is not discipline to avoid the child having knowledge of what he is doing online, the children will learn it because they are fast to learn in what they see.
Children always follow their parents I think parents should be disciplined as well as their behavior should be very moderate. If they can change the negative aspects of their nature then there will be no danger of being unprepared in front of the child. Most of the time parents don't know the difference between good and bad that's why I think if you understand the child properly without pushing him away he will understand. They will harden if chased and learn to play in other ways because children cannot judge good and bad so parents should be careful and aware.

Never ever consider yourself on playing gambling in front of them as much as possible if you dont really like some problems because letting them getting involved
with gambling is never been that good honestly.

I have played board games (with $ bank) and poker in front of kids. Actually it was not in front of kids, but they ran over, asked what we were doing, watches for few minutes and ran away to play toys or watch cartoon. The kids know the rules. The kids know what money are. They have their own money (from presents and earned for doing house work). However, I have never seen an intention from their side to gamble for money. They showed zero interest to what we were doing, as they were busy playing their own games, and they have plenty of games and fantasy to play with. I cant say that we gamble like every day, but few 1-2 times per month we gather with friends to have a fun evening. The kids are always so busy with each other, so that they dont have time for gambling lol Cheesy

I'm tempted to ask what our response will be when we are gambling and our kinds come to ask what we are doing.  Do we lie to them or tell them the truth. At a certain age children become so inquisitive that they ask questions virtually in everything they see us do.
Tell half the truth. Daddy is playing. That's it. It's just a game. Don't tell them you are putting money into your game because that will change the definition of it. Kids today do understand how game works and casino games just look like games in their eyes too. If they find it boring they would not even ask the same question again.
But, it's still better if they won't see us doing it. I am playing in the living room but I do try to hide it as always or just keep the kids busy first whether it's watching television or their busy with their smartphones.
Because there's a chance they will bump into the same game you are playing in some advertisements and you won't like explaining things to a kid because their questions are unstoppable and we cannot just shut them up or else they will pursue to find whatever game we are playing.
The other way to prevent them from gambling is to not let them handle money. I give my firstborn money that is just enough in case something really bad happens like he forgot his food or he gets so thirsty in school. But that never happened yet and he is saving all the money I gave in his piggy bank.

Or just keep kids busy with something else, and they wont be so much interesting in sitting with adults and watching them play. There are few ways adults gamble - using gadgets, then you are so much against kids watching, just swipe app or alt+tab the page. If you gamble IRL, lets say around the table, then invite other gamblers that have kids also. Kids will be busy for whole evening and wont even come to table to look what you are doing.
When you are using up or playing on mobile then you could really easy minimize if ever your children would really be tending to look at on what you have doing or even not, just still that ideal that as much as possible you should really be that avoiding on letting them see that you are into gambling.Just like on what others been saying that whatever things you've been doing will really be that always right and correct into their eyes on which means that if they do able to see that you are really that indeed engaging with gambling then they would likely to be doing the same just because they have
seen it that their parents is doing it.On the time that addiction shackles in, then it would really be that already hard to overcome and as a parent you would really be noticing out if ever they
would really be that always in need of funds or something to those payments which you dont know if its real or not.

Never ever consider yourself on playing gambling in front of them as much as possible if you dont really like some problems because letting them getting involved
with gambling is never been that good honestly.
The ease with which kids can copy our habits, even ones we might not want them to follow, is very scary. With their simple interfaces, mobile gadgets make this problem even worse. They're aware, always looking and learning, so switching screens or minimizing apps isnt enough. A dangerous myth is that if a parent does something, the child will automatically think its okay. That's not a joke. The change from occasional involvement to addiction can happen quickly and without anyone noticing.

Even worse is when the kids start to show signs of addiction, like always wanting money, keeping things to themselves, and changing how they act. Parents have a big responsibility to be careful. Kids' futures can be changed by something they do for fun. Is the risk worth it? As parents, you have a huge duty. It has a deeper and more lasting effect on them than you might think when you expose them to gambling. Setting limits is not only a good idea, its necessary.
