Heres Luxor twitter page with info. they are accepting A3 miner

https://twitter.com/LuxorTechTeam/status/955705511969632256

Will consider it, but something does not sit right with supporting a dev team that wants to brick my miner......  Since a percentage of Luxor pool fee goes to the SIA dev team.  Let the SIA dev team come out with a definitive "NO" to softfork, then I would highly recommend supporting them via Luxor mining.  It is in everyones interest (incl. Bitmain) that the project succeed.

I like this POV ^ looking out for yourself (and fellow a3 owners) and the project

To those that have started to mine.

How much watts is it pulling? Any chance we could just run the APW3++ run on US 110 V?
APW3++ only 1200 watts on 110v. Even if bitmain overstated the draw, which they usually do....you would be cutting it awfully close.

Can someone post the power consumption details about A3 please? Really curious about a possibility to run Antminer A3 on 110V using APW3++....

Tested with 240V. Power is 1450W on wall

 On stock clock
Holeeee shit. Seems like they overclocked the shit out of these things. Just like the D3. What Frequency do they run at to get the 815mh??

Frequency running at 600.. temp is good, very stable miner..

What pool are you on ? How much is the miner earning per hour. Could you please share the configuration page, graying out confidential information. Thanks.

my pool is siamining.com

Please look at the two top signatures in the letter sent to Sia pushing for the soft fork (https://medium.com/@nitronick600/message-to-nebulous-labs-7c42df1f86d5). Those are the guys that created the initiative and got the letter done. They are the Luxor owners. Luxor welcomes your miners, and lobbies to brick them.  Roll Eyes

The hashrate was around 450 THS before the miners started coming online. Now its around 550.

So only around 120 A3 have come online so far? And they are mining 400 sia an hour.

How many more to come? If there is 15000 more then 400/125 = 3 an hour and 75 a day? Lol

I know that the recent fork has not completely fixed the block times yet and will be a while. But just did a dunny calculcation Smiley

On a side note is there anyplace other than an exchange (bittrex, etc) that is taking sia coin right now? Shapeshift is not taking it. Any ideas?

Its not that hard you only have to enter three fields and the password can be anything so just two really.

On the last video you show being connected to antpool then viewing siamining pool for balance, hows that work?

Maybe i'll try chrome browser, sometimes safari doesn't work well with everything

My Sia address from Bittrex seems awful long and when I enter it at siamining site it says invalid

A valid Siacoin address is a 76-character hexadecimal string, inclusive of checksum.

BAD NEWS for A3 owners. Obelisk tech (sia) is still strongly considering the fork that would make A3 a paper weight. read below.

Obelisk January Update

Forking the Network
The Sia community is currently debating a soft-fork that would exclude all Bitmain A3 units from the Sia network, while leaving Obelisk SC1 units fully operational. We encourage you to contribute to this discussion, and ask that you disclose your status as an Obelisk customer when commenting. Discussion is taking place on Sia's Discord and Subreddit.

It's been posted already. Everyone is well aware of the risk.  That would also be a *ferengi greed* move and sure to backfire long term.  What would they do after HalongMining (assuming they exist) introduces their 3.5TH miner that blows away both A3 & Obelisk?  What,,, fork again?   I am starting to wonder whether the SIA dev team is outright amateurs. They never should have entered the ASIC market,,, did they really expect competition to ignore the millions to be made?

BAD NEWS for A3 owners. Obelisk tech (sia) is still strongly considering the fork that would make A3 a paper weight. read below.

Obelisk January Update
By now, many of you have heard that Bitmain announced the Antminer A3 last week and has started shipping units to customers. The A3 mines Siacoin at a hashrate of 815 GH/s and power usage of 1186 W. This means that, when the Obelisk SC1 ships, it will not be the first Siacoin ASIC miner to market.

The Obelisk SC1 is slated to outperform the A3, with 800 GH/s hashrate at only 500 W. These are minimum specs, and we expect the SC1 to perform even better than promised. This is good news: based on current A3 specs, the SC1 will be far more competitive.

We are currently on schedule with SC1 and DCR1 production, and will have test chips back in March. If all goes well, we could be shipping Batch 1 units in May, and Batch 2 units six weeks later. Our official ship dates are still June 30 for Batch 1 and August 31 for Batch 2.

Wire Transfers
Due to large amounts of fraud on our accounts, our bank has asked us to disable wire transfers for the duration of Batch 2 sales. We will do our best to work with our banking partners to re-enable transfers, and add other cryptocurrency payment options to future batches. As of today, wire transfers have been disabled on all new orders.

Let's just hope that Bitmain does not make a *ferengi greed* move and manufacture a DECRED miner also.
