First time I have ever seen Newbie restrictions on a forum before. And tbh, they are actually reasonable. I may ask for preemptive whitelisting though when it comes to the 4 hours requirement, due to the fact that I've been reading well into Bitcoin since June of 2012. Ordered a BFL ASIC and am active in the BFL forums. I'll find a why to prove I know my stuff one way or another. Just great to be here!
Now I finally get it, why I can't reply or open a new thread. Thanks for the explanation and the restrictions seem fair enough.

Great - I spend 15 minutes writing a long answer to the post about bitcoin taking over from all fiat currencies, and on submit get redirect here due to having only a few posts

Ahhh, the life of a newbie. Nothing wrong with having to put in a bit of effort to raise restrictions. It is pretty common on forums now days.
