I can't really judge the necessarity of this measure, but it is quite inconvenient for me, since I want to do 99% reading and have only felt the need to comment a few times since I discovered this forum a few months back and have therefore always been to lazy to make an account so far.
anyway, posts ++1, now where to find those 3 other opportunities to have something to say.

Thanks much MoonShadow,

Very much appreciate you taking care of us Nibs.  Moderating so often seems to be a thankless job, from what I can tell so far, your doing most excellent with it.  Now we'll see if I can find the time to create some value here...

Namaste

P.S.  When installing for the first time late in March, it kinda blow me away that nobody has developed a manual yet for the 0.6 GUI, is this true?  A simple step-by-step and the how/why your doing what your doing to get involved in BitCoin's for the first time.  Anybody working on that already?  Appreciate being pointed to the threads, and might possibly be willing to help get involved in such a project.

Not as far as I am aware.  Feel free to write such a quick start guide.

I think we all have to suffer this. It supposed to help keep the forum cleaner.

I think you meant keep the rest of the forum cleaner.  Smiley

Really excited to be a member of this forum.

I have this great new program called pristine miner that a online friend wrote.

Looking forward to getting it spread around mining pools and seeing what it can really do!

Members of this forum are pretty gunshy about external links to software, do not post links to this pristine miner.  Offer it to the developers in the devepers section once you can do so, and let them vet it.  Any attempt to post a link to this software in the general sections, or without letting the developers check it, will quickly earn you a 'scammer' tag and you will likely be banned for malware.  If it's worth having, they will include it in the software section and give your friend his due mentions.

Awesome thanks for the help!

Yeah I already the post about being wary of posting external links so I will definitely be cautious about posting it and will defnitly take your advice into consideration.

LOL I've spent hours on end reading this forum not logged in. Had I taken the time to read this thread first I could have saved alot of "logged" browsing time

Your post inspired me to join, been reading with 5-8 tabs open on various threads for the last couple of weeks ,in between chores and other duties, figured what the heck, time to join!

Also personally I found a specific programming issue (minor) with the latest 0.6 GUI wallet, pertains to cut/paste of label text, while sending some mBTC's day before yesterday, now wondering how to ever get those specifics to a developer team member, where they might be able to find it & get it on the todo list.

Allot of stuff to follow on this forum, for those of us in the Newbie camp, it's pretty overwhelming....
