I think so. It is the safest and best thing to do for the newbies while they are still into the exploration of the other Altcoins that can be found in the market. But surely most of us would also prefer getting into the top Altcoins as well because it is already proven to be safe and worthy to invest with.

For the newbies, sticking into the top Altcoins will be a first step on knowing the other existing cryptocurrencies other than Bitcoin. It is fun and exciting to explore other Altcoins if you are already familiar and knowledgeable about them. But while you were just starting and learning, it is best to stick into the top Altcoins first until you already know how to explore and take the risk on getting into the other Altcoins.

I prefer holding ethereum and Bitcoin only for long term but when it comes to other altcoins especially new altcoins I tend to hold for short term, even big altcoins of 2019 have all lose value on binance, that's a big point that new altcoins are bad for long-term hold

thats right, learn from the past is the best way for us now
because no body know what will happend with the crypto market in the future
maybe to reduce our risk in crypto investments bitcoin and eth is the best choice for now

It's a lot safer to invest in top coins if you are newbie, it's not easy trying to figure out which new projects are real nowadays, for every newbies it's better to spend time trying to figure out which project are good or bad, it can be tricky some times

In terms of top altcoins I think XRP is one of the good to trade in the market. Or you can choose top altcoins listed in the exchange platform where it is also listed on top exchange at the coinmarketcap as well something like that. Because, this what I did for a couple of months now in crypto business.
for now, XRP does not have a good market for a trade. look at its value I think it fell pretty deep and the repairs that it tried to do happened very slowly. in the past, XRP was indeed a very good asset. now it still looks good but it's not so profitable. just try to see LINK and BCH. I put most of my money into the project.
I think that in the near future Ripples will have very difficult times and the corresponding problems will very much affect the price of the XRP coin in the cryptocurrency market. Not so long ago, in May this year, Bitcoin Manipulation Abatement experts accused California startup Ripple and project CEO Brad Garlinghouse of tricking their investors and artificially creating XRP demand in the market to achieve their enrichment. In addition, I want to note the fact that the complaint has already been submitted to the judicial authorities and it will essentially be examined by the District Court of Northern California. perhaps that is why not only investors, but also traders tensed and volumetric trading has already begun to melt.

Yes yes, I agree with your point. If you are a newbie in this crypto field, dont bother coins which are not in the top 10 cause they are created for no reason but to steal your money and efforts. Be wise you are trying to duplicate your investment. When you are good enough, you can try them. As you always know: the higher the risk, the higher the reward. Holding shitcoin gives you a lot of stress and sleepless nights wondering when my coins will increase back to the normal.

If you dont know where to put your money, I suggest Ethereum. Its underrated for more than a year. Ether will soon shine again

beginners will indeed be better off having top market assets because their markets are better. I try to suggest having a LINK at this time. a lot of talk about their platform. I think a big adoption will happen. LINK has good potential for starting a pump on the market.

Don't be tempted going to top altcoins, most of these altcoins are not with good reputation as far as the cryptocurrency is concern. Tether as altcoin is one of those altcoins on the top but not safe for anyone who is holding them as portfolio, tether can disappear from the cryptocurrency family or funds can be frozen without the consent of the holders. Personally, I don't like altcoins, but always friendly with Bitcoin whenever I think of investment. This coin has the reputation anyone can just hope on, bitcoin should be more safer for newbies than altcoins.

not always safe, look at the Ripple price, if you buy it at $ 0.2 then now you will lose money,
there is no guarantee for you to be safe

I have posted about Ripple manytimes in the past. It is one of the most unreliable cryptocurrencies, with almost zero decentralization. It's circulating supply distribution is shady, but according to the estimates close to 80% is being held by a handful of promoters (either directly or indirectly). Now the problem is that these guys can dump their coins at any time, and it will crash the exchange rates by 90% or more.

It all depends on your experience, if you have experience, you will always be profitable even if those altcoins are in the top 100 coinmarketcap. And if you invest without experience then you will always lose, whether you buy bitcoin or ETH ..

I would rather say "Newbies are safer with Bitcoin and a lot of research". It is not about an altcoin's rank as much as it is about the rush most Newbies have when it comes to bounties and purchasing every crapcoin possible and hoping for their little investment to turn into a fortune.

Ethereum is the second ranked cryptocurrency. Today, it still is seven times lower than its All-Time High. Compare that loss to Bitcoin's, which is still only half from $20,000. Perhaps it is better to put your eggs in multiple baskets, but with very volatile cryptocurrencies it could be an even worse idea.

Yeah, Newbies should stick on the safe side until they know what they are doing. There are plenty of scams out there that looks legit and attracts a lot of newcomers. So until you are ready on investing on smaller alts, Just stick to the big boys and who knows, Those coins can even earn you money.

If you are referring to a completely newbie then I would say no, let say atleast with a little knowledge about crypto they are still not safe with top coins due to the fact that they don't have any idea how that market would move. But if they are just going to HODL and follow the bull and bearish pattern they I would say they a little bit safe. They need to learn more in order to survive in this kind of matter.
Yes, newbies who are still weak in terms of crypto knowledge are certainly not safe if they directly play in terms of trading, because crypto trading is a very risky job, so if there are newbies who immediately try it without first having knowledge, then they can be sure they will suffer losses. Because those who have experience in crypto can suffer losses, especially newbies who are still in the stage of introduction and learning.

Top altcoins are just safer for newbies, only very few new projects grows very well today, out of 100% new projects only 10-15% are worth your money, why taking risks with new altcoins when you can invest on altcoins that have proven to be really good? The choice is yours
The new project is indeed quite risky now and in my opinion it is better now to do research on all existing projects to be able to get a project that is worth it so that it can indeed get a lot of benefits from these investments
existing project better for newbies which is have no enough knowledge. if newbies trying to buy altcoin meanwhile they dont know about the fundamental or developtment progress it will be very dangerous when wrong picking token or coin. they will buy on peak price meanwhile hype already end. this is mistakes that did by much investors.

Of course, altcoin which is ranked at the top is very good to invest because the risk is lower. I myself, although I already understand about altcoin, prefer not to take big risks by investing in the wrong altcoin because it is very risky. it's better to invest in a reliable altcoin.many losses that I have gotten due to wrong choice

Of course, playing it safe is a very appropriate step in investing in the world of cryptocurrency not only for beginners but for people who have long jumped into the world of crypto, it is also better to implement the same thing.

Investing in top altcoins is the key when you must make money in the all the terms like short, long and medium term because you are on a little safer than investing in the new projects or on less known coins. Though for people who have money or can take the risk can do invest in less known coins and have the good future. But for people who cannot take risk then for them it is advised to stay with top coins only.

the reason why newbies fall for scam projects mostly is because of the wrong information given to them by the people who introduce them to cryptocurrency. and also because of the desire to earn huge returns, they dont even bother to seek deep knowledge. so far so good, top altcoins like is much more safer for newbies. i recommend newbies should start investments with top altcoins.

I guess it's the early bird thing or FOMO, newbies are late and they want to find their project where they are the early bird so they look on new projects hoping to stumble their own early bird project they can call their own, in so doing they became a victim of scams.
There's almost little to no hope for new projects right now since most of them are scam and i think the safest crypto currency to invest in is bitcoin. greed will bring the demise of people.
